Sam snuck another candid pic while we got breakfast together at a little diner.
Not sure what she's planning to do with all these random photos, but there hasn't been anything blackmail-worthy yet..... (or that I know of).

I’m not really into older men (although we’re probably not that far apart in age), but if I was? Damn. Wear something tighter, I’m curious to see if you’ve got enough cake to feed a family of five.
— Nigel
I don't really have anything tight, since I make sure everything is my size. I don't really invest as much in my comfort wear, but if I did, I don't go for form-fitting.
The 'cake' you're talking about isn't for much but for sitting on. (Wait, am I missing something here? This is a compliment....right? )
I guess I'm a bit curious. I can read the writing on the wall.... I'm just not sure yet if I wanna move forward with whatever it is you're suggesting.
But I need fun from time to time. Maybe I can learn a thing or two from you, Nigel.

Holy ass. Where’d you get that thing from, Nolan?
-🧩
I guess I got it from my biological parents? And I did have a brief couple of months when I went to the gym. I got too burnt out and sore trying to keep up though.
Thank you.

There was a film crew at the courthouse working on some production. Sam got this photo of me while I wasn't looking. I kind of like it.

would you happen to consider yourself a better lawyer? -🎀
Well now we won't be able to know.
And I prosecute the accused, I don't defend anymore.
If you want a better lawyer, it's not going to be me.

Note
youd really leave an innocent girl to the evil clutches of the legal system? heartbreaking -🎀
Innocent until proven otherwise in court. That's the jury's decision, not mine.
You'd better hope you find a better lawyer, because not much is going to help now.

That sounds nice, actually. I haven't really been on a drive before. Mostly just between states or boroughs. I'm a busy man, but....fun like that does sound tempting...
Farther from the city, the better.
I feel as though I've seen you from somewhere. It's hard to forget that face. You have....an interesting lifestyle based on what I've seen on your page.
- Nolan Price / @nolan-price
So I’ve been told. You’ve got quite the face yourself, Price. What’s a lawyer like you doing in a place like this?
I don’t know how much of my page you’ve seen, but my “lifestyle” isn’t completely above board. Although for legal reasons, I’m just lying on the Internet, fucking same as everyone else.

I had a very long-winded response typed out but I've determined there's nothing I can do to help you, which at this point, I don't want to.

It was probably me, haha. Not actually.. Anyways, how are you, Mr. Price?
-Duncan.
I'm doing as well as usual. Been putting our heads together in the office to work on cases. Sometimes significant evidence gets thrown out, and it's hard to work around. And sometimes... it's less about presenting the truth as is and more like making an impression on the jury that you're right.
How are you doing? I'm far from retirement but I think my gray could catch up with yours the way these next four years are gonna go.

I was picking up a suit from the dry cleaners, and there was another man there that was dressed well. Had a nice watch. We waited together for a bit. I hope I wasn't staring too much.

Well, I'm not perfect. Maybe not so strait-laced but enough that it didn't catch up to me. My dad was tough loving, so I learned to play by the rules pretty fast.
The most daring thing I get up to outside of work is one extra whiskey on a weeknight. I've also been taking up dating again, but I seem to have bad luck on every first date, usually because of work coming up.
I'm afraid to ask what you get up to in your free time. I feel like the less that I know, the better. But....I'm still curious.

hypothetically killed my lawyer, whats the best path to take to avoid a large jail sentence?
-🎀
Maybe....consider.....not 'hypothetically' doing that?!
Or telling me about it on the internet?? If you wanted to avoid a large jail sentence don't say anything at all.
And Christ, you can't even defend yourself in court if you're out here fantasizing of killing your lawyer.

Pigeons are pretty great. They're rather tragic, though, since humans domesticated then abandoned them; it's very upsetting to think about :( They're such intellegent birds too, I mean, they essentially have a compass in their beaks (since they can use electromagnetic signals to navigate to their homes). It just makes you think about how quickly humanity tosses things aside when they deem it unimportant.
-🦌 (when i tell you i wrote a 10k essay on pigeons for my biology class.. im so normal)
Really? I didn't know about the electromagnetic thing with navigating, that's very interesting.
It really is a shame that pigeons have gotten a worse reputation over time. Granted, in an urban environment, they do okay, but are still at risk. And people here either acknowledge them or hate them. If I didn't have a lot going on with work and I knew what I was doing, I could see myself possibly looking into keeping one.

how did you get into legal work? would you recommend it? -🎧
I got into legal work because I was deeply upset by the way ordinary people's lives were being destroyed by a lack of justice. Well... it also happened to be a bit personal. Someone I knew was wrongfully convicted of a crime that he hadn't committed. I couldn't do anything about it at the time, and I always wished that I could.
Law school was difficult, arduous, but once I figured out how to present my cases, it became easier. A lot of it is technical, but there is a degree of artistry. It's use of body language, like a performance almost. But the gravity of it is heavy. People's lives are on the line.
I started out as a defense attorney, but moved up the ranks before being recommended as Assistant District Attorney. I took to being a prosecutor like a fish to water. My last boss who was DA taught me a lot about how to hone my focus on a case, to really prod at the gaps of the defense. In a way, law is deeply psychological.
As for recommending it, I think it's something you really invest yourself into. It takes a lot out of you. It wears you down and tests your patience and your sanity and your morality deep down. It's not easy.
You have to remind yourself what and who you're doing it for. It changes every day. But you have to keep moving forward.
It's not for everyone. Just do a lot of research before looking into it as a career.
