BATCOMPUTER: Warning: Batmobile rear tires have been removed.

BRUCE: …Jason.

Cut to Jason outside, rolling two Batmobile tires away, cackling.

Hopper is sitting in a booth at the diner.

He watching his new recruit talk on the pay phone outside through the window, contemplating. He’s not too sure about this Callahan kid.

He’s not sure if he’s just getting older or if it’s because he has a daughter now, but Christ. Callahan still had braces last year and they just handed him a gun. The kid is nineteen.

Hopper must have been too deep in his musing because he doesn’t notice Steve slide into the booth across from him until Steve is halfway through telling him that they make him sit at the bar when the diner is busy. He doesn’t like that because people touch his hair when they go past so, “Can I sit with you, please?”

He shoves Callahan’s half-finished hash browns to the side and says, “Don’t worry, I’ll be really quiet. You’ll forget that I’m here. Mama says I’m really good at that.”

Yeah. Somehow Hopper doesn’t think he’ll be forgetting much of anything. Especially after Patty Martin, the only waitress in the building today, comes over to top of Hopper’s coffee. She gives Steve the sweetest smile Hop has ever seen on her face and asks, “Pancakes again, kiddo?”

“No thanks,” Steve says, pulling some crumbled up dollars and a handful of coins from his pocket. He slides it towards her and says with a gap-toothed smile, “One big sundae with two bananas, please.”

She looks at the money, “That’s a bit more than what you got here, kid.”

“Not of it’s your birthday.”

This is a game, Hopper realizes when Patty asks, “Is it your birthday? You had a birthday last year.”

“I have a birthday every year!” Steve giggles, and Hopper is slightly amused until Patty leaves and Steve informs him, “Mama and me come here every year on my birthday and get a big sundae. We share it. It’s tradition. I’m seven.”

Hopper scans the room and finds it lacking, “Where is your mom?”

Steve pauses. He can see the gears turning in the kid’s head. He knows that Steve must’ve heard his dad say that you don’t lie to the police but you don’t got to tell them the truth because he predictably gives a non-answer, “She’s not here.”

Descriptive, Hopper thinks but he also thinks this whole scenario is so damn sad. Instead of an interrogating, he asks, “Hey, kid. How about after you finish your ice cream, I take you for a drive in the truck. You can turn the siren on.”

Steve gives him a look like he not only thinks that suggestion is stupid but that Hopper is too. He says gently, like he’s letting Hopper down easy, “No thanks.”

“I’m going to Tommy’s later,” Steve adds. “His mama is making me a cake.”

kon ends up developing a pretty substantial kryptonite immunity and it’s purely cause supers are just…. weak ass motherfuckers with pain. yeah sure it dampens their powers and hurts like a motherfucker but with exposure and not just dealing with a large amount of pain very shortly and only once every so often kon just pushes through it.

he refuses to explain how though and that’s cause he let tim just poke him with a sharp kryptonite shard to get used to being around it so it’s not so jarring when it happens and then he stubbed his toe and sobbed like a bitch and he decided he needed to get higher pain tolerance.

kon refuses to explain how because he is not telling everyone he cried over a stubbed toe and that was the tipping point and tim refuses to explain cause he doesn’t need people think he’s going into supervillain territory again.

this does get revealed by kon getting stabbed with a very sharp shard once on a mission with clark and clark panicking while kon just takes it out and puts it in a container he keeps with him now. he then looks clark dead in his eyes and says “what you think that’s bad? you’re just weak. loser.” and then continues on as normal

there was also a period of time where kon had a kryptonite necklace so he could get piercings without messing the recovery process up. it was a very difficult time period cause he couldn’t take it off or else the piercings would heal way too quickly.

the specific tragedy of marineford's events aside ace is just a wild character to watch. he's the coolest big brother on the seas. he's a fucking dork. he's hated himself his whole life. he goes around tits out all day every day. it's because he's tattooed his devotion to whitebeard on his back and wants everyone to see it. he can solo a buffalo with a metal pipe at age 10. he cannot shut up about luffy even when he's in jail waiting to die. he's narcoleptic. he's a serial dine-n-dasher. he's the patron saint of daddy issues. he learns manners specifically to thank shanks for saving luffy. he's kinda shit at them. he doesn't run from fights. he doesn't let himself run from fights. he doesn't think he CAN run from fights. he crashes a party on buggy's ship out of nowhere and steals the food. he infiltrates a marine base and doesn't even bother to hide the very recognizable tattoo on his arm. he steals THEIR food. he immediately blows his cover because he decks the shit out of someone for dissing his captainfather. he's still eating while he gives them the slip. he goes to kill kaido and bonds with his son instead. he knows how to make a kasa. he forgets he's fire and keeps accidentally burning them. the narrative doomed him and yet his love and the love for him refuses to die. the world loathes him on an existential level. he chooses to be kind to the people in it, even so.

one of my friends (who is a huge transformers fan) dragged me to see transformers one and it was allllll downhill from there. I’ve always known about transformers and i always thought they were cool but the extent of my exposure to them was like…the bayverse and live action movies.

I’ve been in the fandom since October 2024! I don’t believe I’ve ever posted my very first transformers fanart, i drew it while on the train home from school thinking “eh I’ll just do one doodle for that movie i liked this isn’t going to spiral out of my control or anything”. ha ha ha

Red Robin grabbed the bat before it could make contact, having successfully undone his bindings. He swept his feet underneath the Joker’s legs, sending the clown tripping to the ground. Red Robin picked the bat up and examined it with an indifferent expression.

Red Robin: Tsk, tsk, Joker. Your knot skills have never been the best. Shame, I do wish you’d let me finish talking before I untied myself. But what I was saying is, Batman isn’t who you should fear at the moment. Nightwing, Red Hood, Spoiler, Orphan, and Signal can’t hold me back, and I’ve been dealing with a lot of crap this past year.

With that, Red Robin raised the bat and struck down on Joker's right knee first.

Red Robin: I forgot it was Mom’s birthday because I had to deal with a man who carries a flamethrower and prides himself on being an arsonist. I’ve been putting up with a jerk at work who I can't punch, and lately, I’ve had this weird, tingly pain from when you froze me and tried to auction me off to the highest bidder. But that’s okay; you’re going to be my punching bag for the next twenty minutes.

A malicious smirk spread across Red Robin’s face as he struck Joker in his left knee next. Twenty minutes later, Red Robin left the building, whistling happily and pointing to the entrance for the group to come in and apprehend the Joker.

Signal quickly stepped away, his jaw dropped in shock, as Red Hood’s laughter echoed in the distance.

Signal: What the hell did you do to him?

Red Robin (resting against the building wall): That’s for God and me to know, but pretending he was Kylar from work definitely helped me not hold back.

Signal (impress, but slightly terrified): I forgot how hardcore you are, and I’m sorry for that.

Red Robin: It’s okay. Where’s Batman?

Signal: He got held up. You’re lucky he isn’t here yet.

Red Robin shrugged and closed his eyes as he waited for the others. Nightwing and Red Hood emerged, dragging the Joker out while Orphan approached Red Robin.

Orphan (worried): You intended to… let him live, right?

Red Robin: Oh yes, I want him to live and suffer. Death is too good for him.

Orphan shrugged, nodding in agreement.
