I feel that it is because Shmi isn't that developed (in the movies at least) but I think Luke specially shows a lot of her kind-heartedness, and it doesn't come just from Padmé, but from Shmi too ❤️

if everyone is comparing traits luke and leia got from family members why dont they ever compare them to shmi??

I am a mini series cw truther til I die. I love the stories, the characterization, the animation style was so cute and I don't get why it isn't cannon 😭

Two things about this iconic Anidala moment in TCW 03, is how Padmé is obviously tailing Anakin in full disguise and Anakin picks up on it and then pulls his follower into a alley and discovers it’s his beautiful wife and they make out 😂 and the second thing being that she enjoys aestheticizing her things (droids) by giving 3pO new gold plating to most definitely fit her style of choice 🤣

Even 3po says that in a service of a senator one must be presentable 😂 Padmé would 100% be the type to bedazzle her things ✨

(Also, can we mourn the loss of these two va for the TCW? They sound a mountains worth more like the og Anakin & Padmé than the ones in the 08 ver.)

(Silence. Obi-Wan closes his eyes for a moment, shifts slightly.)

Obi-Wan:

We use this secure channel for mission updates, not—

Anakin (firm, unyielding):

I’m not giving you the damn mission report until you answer me.

Obi-Wan (strained, steady):

Anakin, this is not—

Anakin (interrupting, voice tight with something between hurt and desperate curiosity):

Why did you kiss me on the battlefield?

Obi-Wan:

Give me the report, Anakin. Or I’ll cut the call.

Anakin:

You would have me dead just to escape answering.

(There’s a pause. The comm hums softly. The moon behind Obi-Wan shifts behind a cloud.)

Obi-Wan (finally, voice low — barely above a breath):

I thought I lost you.

(Silence. And then something changes in Anakin. Not triumph. Something more dangerous. More stubborn.)

Anakin (soft, almost reverent):

You kissed me because you thought I was gone.

Did you mean it?

Obi-Wan (a whisper now, frayed):

This is not—

Anakin (cutting in):

Answer the question and I’ll give you the karking mission report.

Just one question, Master.

Did. You. Mean it?

(A long, thick silence. Then:)

Obi-Wan (quiet, fragile, but true):

You know I did.

I love so many different artists that this is quite hard but I'll leave you my current top 5!!

1. Pulp - This is Hardcore ✨

This song is so entrancing, I love Jarvis Cocker's drama so much and he let it ran WILD with this one. Musically it sounds so grandiose and the lyrics may at first glance sound lewd but also they're a sort of critique to the entertainment industry's relationship with sex/sexual themes? I love it so much.

2. Wet Leg - Davina McCall 🩷

The new Wet Leg album has me in chokehold, those girls are so unbelievably cool and with this album they knocked it out the park for me. And the other singles like CPR or Catch These Fists are for sure more impactful but this song has this sweetness and vulnerability, it was written for Rhian's girlfriend and it shows how much she loves her. It's so beautiful.

3. The Stone Roses - I Wanna Be Adored ☁️

This song is so dreamy 💖 I think the stone roses are so cool and I wanna get more into them because this song is so lovely and makes me just wanna listen to it on a loop!!

4. Nine Inch Nails - As Alive As You Need Me To Be ❤️

NIN is one of my fav bands ever and to see them come back making the new Tron Ares soundtrack makes me so so happy, plus Trent Reznor really said let's get dancing!! But it doesn't sound like his solo soundtrack stuff, this is very much Nine Inch Nails ™ and it's. So. Catchy. I love it and I've been listening to it a lot!!

5. Fontaines DC - Before You I Just Forget 💙

Fontaines is another one of my absolute favs, they have become a huge part of my life and their lyrics and their sound resonate a lot with me. This is their latest single, a bonus track for the album Romance which was one of those life changing albums for me and this song has been stuck in my head. It's this perfect balance of cynical and hopeful which is very FDC ™ and it's also so catchy omg, Grian's bridge towards the end actually makes me ascend into heaven omg.

That was it!! Maybe I got way too into this omg but I'm as passionate about music as you all see me be about Star Wars 😅 hence the name of my blog ✨

I know people love the sexy stuff Padme wears but I just cannot get over her elaborate gowns. Like the black dress is nice, sure, but have you seen her outfit from Attack of the Clones with the headdress

conversely, the same is true for anakin.

people just want padme to be this perfect paragon of virtue but she's not. she's a woman. flawed and all. and falling in love with anakin isn't a slight on her morality or judgment in any way, shape or form, ty!

R2-D2's favoritism towards Anakin is so funny like, he's canonically the most foul-mouthed, ill-tempered, grump old cat-coded droid. The cute appearance is only an illusion to lure you in just so he can tase you, and maybe also kick you from behind just because he wants to. Even the disney princess Obi-Wan loved by all animals on first sight doesn't get along with R2. But he just. likes. Anakin. He's the wingman, he's emotional support, he's a good helper in battle. He carries snacks and checks if Anakin is hungry. He looks at this also ill-tempered angsty goth kid and said, yep that's my bff. Meanwhile Anakin goes around saying things R2 is a sweetheart 😌he's a little angel he's literally the best buddy anyone could ask for and I will risk my life to save him. Everyone else just looks like the demon droid and be like what the fuck are you talking about.
