Twenty years ago Salem, Oregon was home to a group of young adults. From all over the world, with pain of their own, Salem became a safe haven for those, who before than had no place in this world, to call home.

Some had been born in Salem, and knew nothing but. Others, came to Salem with a hope to belong.

Their stories are engraved in Salem.

Their stories are the tale of a town, no better than any else, that was only ever what they made of it.

Even now, twenty years later.

They are rooted in Salem. With families of their own, mistakes they can only hope their children never make, Salem is still what it had been then, their home.

They are the Oracle of Salem.

Following the plots and stories of this roleplay group, it has been twenty years since the story of Salem started.

Now, the children of those who lived in Salem are the ages of their parents when it had all began.

The character list in bio shows who had lived in Salem twenty years ago, and even now as parents and family.

Rules,

( One ) Muns,

We ask that everyone shows respect towards the other muns in this rp. We want this rp to be welcoming and fun to those in it, and hope that everyone gets along.

( Two ) Triggers

Dark plots, roleplays and headcanons are welcome, but please remember to trigger warn any public post that contains triggering topics.

With that, we’d like to remind everyone to make sure other mun’s oc that may be involved in a dark plot, triggering roleplay or any type of rp that can effect the oc is something their mun agreed to do.

( Three ) Forced plots

As one category, this rule surrounds god-modding and force-shipping. This rule is a gentle reminder that the previously stated topics are not okay. Please do not force ship or god-mod.

Kent is a small town in Connecticut, though unlike the real town, all places in this roleplay were created specifically for, well, this! With a population of 342 people, this is a everyone knows everyone roleplay!

Places in the town can be found in the pinned link post, as well as character list, and everything you’d need to know about the group.

As for now, heres what you need to know about the basics:

— We are accepting new muns! Everyone is welcome, and its easy to join.

We back!

Salem, Oregon is a fandomless roleplay group that was made in 2018. For a while we were inactive but have since decided to start back up! With a two year time skip, the plots from before still took place within the town!

For anyone looking to join a fandomless group, everyone is welcomed to join Salem. Feel free to take a look at old post to become familiar with the town.

Hey, guys!

For starters i’d like to apologize if my emotionally unstable state of mind somehow takes what this is meant to be and adds ten other things to it. I’ll try my best to keep this short and simple.

Roleplaying is amazing. And the more you dive in the more you begin feeling attached to the characters. It’s crazy, I know. You’d think that everything is purely for fun and when the fun is over, or the motivation is gone you can drop everything and walk away without so much as looking back. That’s not the case. These characters -even the ones that arent your own- become as real as a character can be. They become people. Real people. Or at least that's what it feels like. Their plots become stories and those stories begin to feel real. That’s why the deaths of my ocs was extremely hard to write and why leaving this group has been incredibly hard for me. I love this group. I love the characters. Not only that but the way we had made this group not only gave us muns the opportunity to roleplay freely and without fear of being kicked for small things but it gave us friendship. It gave us amazing friendships. Being able to talk everyday with all of the muns made roleplay ten times what it was before. Laughing at things our ocs did, plotting together as a group, talking about our personal lives, making ten million discord servers because me and Clarke are a mess — everything that we talked about and did together was my highlight.

But even so, my motivation for roleplaying isnt what is was and turning roleplay into something it wasn't for me wasn't what I wanted. Our group does not need oracle. Truthfully, it never did. All of us muns knew all of the main plots before they were posted, knew all of the characters before the list was updated. This was more so for my ocd, and extreme urge to, “keep everything organized”. And so, with my leaving, Oracle will not be in use anymore. But for anyone looking to join, feel free to message me on discord and I'll help you get into contact with the muns who you can talk to about joining.

As cheesy as it sounds, this isn't goodbye.

I’ll be back eventually.
