🙏🙌 Today we raised up 2 new Deacons @legacycitychurch . Jared East and Chris Detweiler. I am so very thankful for all 11 our servant leaders. It is a joy to run with this crew!! ✊ Love you Legacy may God continue to bless his church as we walk closely with Him. 💛▪️ We do not just raise up people in the church that we think are cool or fun to hang with. We only raise up people who meet the qualifications set in Gods word. This leaves the ultimate raising up to The Lord and not to us. He is the one who enables people to meet the qualification set in His word. The qualifications are found in 1 Timothy 3:1-13 ▪️ If a leader falls out of these qualifications they are then disqualified from the position of Elder/Pastor or Deacon. May God give the church wisdom as the lay hands on the next generation of leaders. 🙌 ⚓️ We as humans were not made to receive glory, we were made to give it to God. When humans try to receive glory for themselves we can very quickly become sick, prideful, arrogant, selfish and blind to others. We have to ask ourselves, “who am I making a name for?” Is all of this for my fame and glory, or for the fame and glory of God. It is a small setting of motive in every persons heart, but it makes all the difference in the way you treat people and experience life. Don’t sip on the glory...it will make you sick. Instead give it to God, He’s the one who gave you those gifts, talents, desires, riches, fame and power. And He can take it away just as fast as He has given it to you. Give The Lord Jesus the glory alone!
