Anong pangarap mo? Bilang isang kabataang nasa gitna ng pandemya paano mo nga ba makakamit ang mga pangarap na minsang pinanghawakan mo sa buhay? Bilang isang santo, sapat na ba ang mga iyak at kwento para matawag na tagasunod ng Diyos? Lahat may proseso, lahat may kapalit, lahat may sakripisyo.
Isang pinaka-memorableng serbisyo ni Santo Domingo ang pagpapalaganap ng salita ng Diyos, maraming maaaring magsabing madali lang ito pero sa panahon ngayonâ-ilan na nga lang ba ang gumagawa? Bilang isang Dominikano minulat ako sa salitang âresponsibilidadâ bagamat magkakaiba tayo ng paraan para sa malaking misyon na iniatang sa atin; ang pagtulong. Nabibilang pa rin ako sa mga kabataan, walang kakayahang libutin ang mundo para isabuhay ang minsang ginawang sakripisyo ng isang santo, naliligaw at hindi sigurado, nalilito. Kahit ganoon pa man ay may isang bagay akong natutuhan habang inaaral ko ang buhay na siyang inspirasyon ng paaralang kinalalagyan ko - pangarap. Sa simpleng pangangarap para sa ibang tao, matututunan mong tumulong sa maliliit na paraan. Mula sa pagtanggap, pagmamahal, pagsasalita para sa bayan, paglilingkod para sa kabutihan, magagawa natin ang serbisyong paulit-ulit itinatatak sa atin. Ganoon naman hindi ba? Tila maliliit na tapak ng mga paa patungo sa mas malaking resulta.
Sa panahon ngayon kung saan marami ang humahadlang sa bawat pangarap at serbisyong gusto nating makamit, ipaaalala sa atin palagi ang isang santong naging inspirasyon natin sa pagtulong. Ipinahahatid sa atin paulit ulit ang mensaheng huwag tayong susuko at ang pagiging bukas palad ay di kailanmaây pinagsasaraduhan ng oportunidad. Kahit saan ka lumingon sa mundong ito ay may magagawa kang tama, kailangan mo lamang pag isipang mabuti kung ano nga bang importansya mo sa buhay. Saan ka nga ba magaling at paano mo ito magagamit sa pagtulong? Paano mo ito magagawang daan upang bumuo ng isang pangarap na hindi lamang para saâyo? Kung sakaling hindi mo pa masagot ang bawat tanong ko rito, isipin mo si Santo Domingo at ang mga nagawa niya bilang proseso sa responsibilidad na siyang nilapatan niya ng abilidad. Gayon rin, kung sakaling alam mo na ang mga sagot, isipin mo si Santo Domingo at mag umpisa kang kumilos para sa kinabukasan.
