I recently got an on-campus job. During the interview process, I requested that I not be scheduled on Friday nights or Saturdays as I am a Jewish student.

My boss immeadiately brightened and rushed to explain - "Of course ! Of course! We want to accomodate you! We have another worker who takes off for Ramadan. Do you need to take off for Ramadan?"

I shook my head, incredibly confused. "Uh. That's. Not my jurisdiction. I'm good." Boss nodded but was sure to add "Let me know if that ever changes. We can help you with Ramadan."

a universe where rachel and chloe make it out. rachel, sat in the passenger seat as chloe drives. and she starts crying. quietly, sniffling but not bothering to wipe her face. chloe pulls over as soon as she hears (she doesnt want to take her eyes off the road), and it's scary. the only other times chloe's seen rachel cry, she's been angry. explosive. this rachel is limp and shaking, with her head down and her hands in her hair. when chloe shifts over to hug her, she doesn't speak. but she's crying because they've made it. because now that stupid, suffocating town is behind them rachel doesnt have to be impenetrable anymore. she's allowed to cry and be small and scared and upset.
