My TADC Theory: Jax & Ragatha are siblings

The main details I would like to enter into evidence:

"But what do badges even mean in this case?" My theory is it represents family. Specifically, it represents a wealthy family that puts enough stock in their name to make a crest/coat of arms/emblem/mon(紋)*.

I don't think I'd have paid the emblems much attention if I hadn't noticed Jax wasn't wearing that anime delinquent getup(the one Zooble is wearing) and instead was decked out in prep school attire like Ragatha.

There's more to imply Jax & Ragatha knew each other prior to their digital imprisonment (like Ragatha reflecting on her life and mother, with Jax's reaction after she downplays her stormy homelife as 'just kind of a farmgirl!', but I wanted to focus on the family crest thing.

Trump’s big beautiful bill passed….how are federal courts and or we are supposed to stop him now?

the Big Stupid Bill has passed the House (by only one vote), but a bill has to pass both the House and the Senate before it can become law. and if the Senate makes changes to the bill, which they currently are doing, it goes back to the House again. so the biggest thing you can do right now is still call your representatives and call your senators.

GovTrack.us can help you contact your legislators, and 5calls.org provides scripts you can use to talk about various aspects of the bill

additionally, while none of the contents of the bill are good for the American people, none of it dooms us either. the closest it gets to that imo is with the REINS Act, which would allow Congress to overrule or delay agency regulation and has passed the House several times in the past only to be shot down by the Senate - so call your senators.

(disclaimer: I’m not super thoroughly informed on every aspect of the 1000-page bill, so I could be missing something scarier, but the point still stands)

baitulmaal - provides a variety of necessities, including food, water, shelter, and medical supplies

hygiene kits for gaza - provides hygiene supplies including menstrual products, wipes, and toothbrushes/toothpaste

anera - provides a variety of necessities, including food, water, hygiene supplies, medicine, blankets and mattresses, and psychological care

palestine children's relief fund - provides supplies and support with a focus on children. also has an initiative for lebanon

I don’t know what to share about my life anymore to get people’s attention. We are a family of ten trying to survive in northern Gaza. Our landlord keeps increasing our rent, and we will be at the mercy of the drones and the tanks if we have to leave, on top of having to leave behind all of our belongings. Every kind of food at the market now costs a fortune and there are no jobs available due to the dangerous situation outside, so we have to fully rely on this campaign.

Please help, I swear I’ll be thankful for anything. Share at least if you can’t afford to donate.

As a former librarian I'm actually required to remind you that many libraries that subscribe to Libby are opted into a program that lets you subscribe and access magazines for free with no wait

And that this is actually a really fun, low cost way to not only access news and larger cultural magazines, but also to get free patterns for many different crafts that you can screenshot if need be and that lower the financial barriers to entry for trying new things

From my experience working in both academic and public libraries, many libraries are use it or lose it funding-- I have to say this because a lot of patrons feel guilty for how much they use the library and how often they're using it funny enough, but the worst thing you can do for libraries is not try out new features and not use what's already given to you as much as possible.

The numbers that come as a result of your patronage are how most libraries justify their continued existence in times of financial hardship, which sucks but, go check out some magazines on Libby!

i guess i'm not as despairing as many people about the future of the planet simply because the fact that we're not in way worse shape today suggests the earth is crazy resilient

Reading anything about environmental history is like "and by 1956 the river was so full of uranium and bubonic plague that the only living organism found in it was an single amoeba which died immediately after being documented" and I'm like okay maybe today's problems aren't necessarily uniquely disastrous and unsolvable
