the marauders each had a stick-n-poke tattoo that remus did for all of them in fifth year. they all have their animagi’s footprint: a deer hoof for james, a rat paw for peter, a dog paw for sirius and a wolf print for remus. these are in a different place for each of them and are relatively small, it was each of their first tattoos.

how i think the guys are when blackout drunk:

sirius- babbling on about his brother and his boyfriend until he passes out face down in the common room

james- has surprisingly never let himself get fucked enough to completely lose control of himself but has fs gotten close

peter- sits and stares at a wall for a concerning amount of time until he has to be brought to bed by force

remus- fully believes he could take anyone in a fight and often tries, but is very easily distracted which is taken advantage of to keep him from doing anything stupid

lily and remus study together all the time in the library. they would always be side by side at the long table or sitting together at a small table in a tucked away corner. it wasn’t uncommon to find one or both of them passed out over a textbook or leaning on the other. this was such a consistent thing that people believed that the two were dating for like a solid month until someone actually asked and they had to diminish the rumors.

lily enjoys crocheting and she would make little things for the guys often. some favorites include: fingerless gloves for remus, a winter hat for james, a rat plush bag charm for peter and a bolero sweater(shoulder shrug) for sirius.

i love thinking that just before the start of either first or second year remus started having to use a walking cane because his muscles had significantly weakened due to the moons. i also think that the guys would have spent time secretly hand carving a wood cane for remus and carving little designs on it

There is no right or wrong way to be trans/gender-fluid/genderqueer/non-binary/etc. You are you and that’s all there is to it. You can be something and use different words and language to describe and identify yourself while supporting other people who are just like you but use different words and language to identify and describe themselves. We can not be bringing down or belittling each other because of some simple things like wording. In times like this, we need more than anything to support and lift each other up rather than focus on these smaller “problems”. Anon, it’s understandable that you might feel uncomfortable with some older terminology used by people in the trans/gender nonconforming community, but you should recognize that that terminology isn’t offensive, it’s part of our history as a community; a lot of people can’t always keep up with the ever-changing terminology and wording that the newer generations keep creating and using. Just my thoughts, nothing more.

don't use "ftm" it's outdated and offensive. it implies that the trans person was their agab, which we never were. i was always a boy, never a girl who became a boy.

i have elder trans friends who call themselves transsexuals and transvestites and trannies. are you going to seriously go to a 60-year-old trans person who survived the reagan years and tell her she's not allowed to use certain language to describe herself because it might offend the delicate sensibilities of some teenager on the internet?

do yourself a favor and log off, find some real-life trans people who are over the age of 20 or 25, and spend time talking to them instead of getting all holier-than-thou at random strangers on tumblr.

Remus Lupin was alone for years after James&Lily’s death. He was also alone after Sirius died, up until his own death in the Battle of Hogwarts. Conclusion: Remus spent more time mourning his friends than he spent being with them. Sirius spent more time in Azkaban than he did with them. Peter spent more time as a rat than he did with them. And James got barely any time at all.
