The Drag Aesthetic
I absolutely love the level of detail that some of the worlds best drag queens go to with their whole look. Be it comedy Queens or pageant Queens, each has their own amazing look and stunning ability to apply makeup and create some of the most amazing costumes and accessories I’ve ever seen. Some use more makeup than others, some decorate their garments more heavily than others but all have amazing talents, personalities and guarantee an amazing performance every time.

Branding Project
This is a branding project for my university degree. The company is a made up charity I invented, Street Paws, to create knitting kits for people to knit blankets for the dogs of the homeless.  My audience persona is people who are very craft orientated, have alternative tendencies and loves like hipsters etc and also very eco conscious as all the items involved are either 100% recycled (even the wool) or 100% sustainable (bamboo knitting needles). The completed blankets would then be sent back to the company for weatherproofing and distribution.
I was given three headings that my project had to fall under ‘morality’, ‘sustainability’ and ‘volunteering & social care’.
These were also followed up with a poster for a workshop creating balls of wool from old jumpers and a uniform for my street team to wear

Taken from: http://www.complex.com/sports/2017/11/formula-1-new-branding Formula 1 is about to enter a new era. The redesign is the brand's first for 23 years and is inspired by the fans, with 14,000 supporters from seven countries giving feedback that shaped F1's new identity. The genesis of the logo echoes the shape of a Formula 1 car: flat, low to the ground and with a suggestion of speed. It has a modern-retro feel that leans into the extreme and dynamic nature of the sport and is designed to work across a variety of platforms. Leading the overhaul is Ellie Norman, the first ever Formula 1 Director of Marketing, and she says the redesign is the first step to making the sport accessible for new fans once again: "When we talked to fans about what made Formula 1 amazing, what we heard was people loved the real, exhilarating, unpredictable and incomprehensibly fast elements of the sport. It was about racing. But many felt those days were behind us and that the sport has become almost impenetrable for fans, particularly new ones. It was clear we were going to need to address some fundamentals of our brand, if we were to realise our ambition to make Formula 1 a major entertainment player and claim our rights to be the global media brand we should be. What we say and do now is so important for our future, but it must always be driven by our fans. They come first.”

Plastik Magazine An absolute favourite magazine of mine. The power of the colour and sheer gorgeousness of the graphics mixed with sublime layout and great font choice make this more than a magazine to me. The imagery is always unashamedly photoshopped to within an inch of its life and it's subjects are never afraid to defy convention or celebrate the weird and wonderful. At £25 per issue and only available via the Plastik website this isn't something you're likely to see in wide circulation but I think it's well worth it if you want something unique, original and packed with fabulous art and photography.

David Carson David Carson is a huge influence upon my typography. I love his layouts and free formed chaotic style of design. It truly sums up the statement that '..it doesn't have to be legible in order to communicate.' I am such a big fan of this printed style and really want to research him more. From the old copies of Ray Gun magazine to his design for the nine inch nails graphics I truly think he's one of the all time great typographers and a complete master in his craft.

My latest designs for aburnet hairnets. Adding a twist of quality and some shabby chic-ness to my most recent designs as these seem to be the growing fashion in high end food outlets
