In person is best but if that's not possible then do it online. If you spend all your time with people who you can't tell, then your identity will start to feel further from you. Even when you've been out, if you have to go back to the closet even for a short time you will still start to question if it was ever worth being out as queer or if you ever even were queer. However much you have to stay closeted, please always keep some link to outness. Even if it's just a super secret tumblr blog or something.

If you're someone who has a difficult relationship with the closet I understand that and I've been there for nearly a decade. Remembering who you are can be surprisingly hard on your own so please always keep some form of community
