How rude, she was an excellent flyer!..Hopefully. Once she was all comfortable, Octavia began her pre flight procedures. After double and triple checking all systems were a go, she set the X-Wing into taxi and it began to roll out on the tarmac. Okay, so far so good, it was just like the simulations. When her ship was lined up correctly, she engaged the thruster levers. It was both exciting and terrifying hurtling down the runaway at such high speeds. But it was worth it when she pulled back on the yoke and the X-Wing began to ascend. The base down below got smaller and smaller the higher she went. Octavia remained focused and calm while she waited to reach the five thousand altitude point. 

The exhilaration of leaving the mortal coil of the earth was so pleasing. There were many great heights on a planet, but nothing such as great as what one could achieve on the wings of a starship. He could bask in the beam of her happiness for days, such feelings of pure joy were far and between as the years flew by. smiling to himself, Anakin gave the woman space to fly out and she took to the heights like a soaring being. Anakin followed her lift and how she kept herself steady, that was the hardest part, so the plots joke went. That and landing. But he trailed himself so there was some distance between their vessels, but aligned in a flight pattern, ‘ great work Octavia.’ casting a glance at her outside his viewport, ‘ you are gonna be flying missions in no time.’

Octavia tried to contain her excitement but she practically squealed with glee when Anakin presented her very own fighter. The x-wing was hers. it was a good idea they were staying planet bound. The brunette had some experience but it was better to ease into things so she could improve without a large risk looming over. “Isn’t that against regulation?” She was only teasing of course. She figured an experienced flyer wouldn’t have to follow every standard or protocol. Using the lift, Octavia got situated in the cockpit. The eagerness was practically oozing off her finger tips. “Am I following you, or are we going together?” She asked the pilot. 

Flying was deeply a part of his bones. there wasn’t a story that passed by in the solo clan that didn’t involve flying. His own love of being slapped in a cockpit was only matched by his tenacity to navigate. Still, they had small moments of peace in this life and finding one with her while also bringing about fantast fulfillment would make him feel most useful. he sidestepped over to his fighter,’ you can fly it out of here first, just set up a cruising altitude of five thousand feet. the terrain is pretty flat all around but we’ll want to gain some distance. ‘ climbing up the ladder to his cockpit, his droid Blue a BB8 model in homage to R2 shifted into his place on the fighter.
