Happy pride to everyone confused… I think it would be funny to not elaborate and just leave it at that because I think that’s a lot of us but specifically…

everyone confused about what label fits them the best. I think we sometimes expect labels to be more than they are. They exist so you can better navigate a world full of social constructs like gender and sexuality. Society tells us what it should mean if you fall under specific titles, but you don’t have to fit those boxes. You’re a lesbian that likes kissing men at parties? totally fine! You’re a bi person with a 90/10 preference for women? cool! You’re ace but maybe would want to have sex sometime? go for it! You’re a person who struggles with your gender identity but identify more with a sexuality label that you worry doesn’t fit with your current identity? who cares! If it doesn’t bother you, it’s so valid.

Change your labels as much as you want or keep identifying with your label regardless of whatever hypothetical issues there are in doing so. There is flexibility. Do what brings you comfort. Labels exist to help identify us, they cannot fully encompass the human experience.

This also applies to people confused about how they feel about their best friend because platonic and romantic feelings are both strong love. With both you want to be around each other, maybe cuddle, maybe kiss, maybe grow old together. The focus on romantic relationships leads to people trying to force you into a box, but ultimately if you want to have a complicated friendship with someone, go for it! If both parties are happy, you don’t really need a definitive label for these things.

I think it’s great that we have so many labels because I know it brings people comfort but sometimes it’s also nice to not have to worry about what fits perfectly. We’re just people, things are complicated, and that’s okay. Not everyone needs to understand your experience from an outside perspective and realistically unless someone is you, it’s impossible for them to perfectly get it.

There should be more games where you play as a sleep paralysis demon but still do protagonist stuff, such as fight enemies and have an unrealistic amount of inventory.
