alright here's the rundown. more detailed version coming soon probably. the things i do for you guys
(transcript of prologue below the cut)
It's a lavender sky this time, this world. A lavender sky deepening to aubergine over a city of neon and brass. It's beautiful in it's way, just like any other city on any other world.
I-prime hasn't bothered to learn its name.
He stands in the hotel window, watching the burnished streets below gleam with fading light. The rhythmic thrum beneath his feet signals the rousing of the club below. They're playing a song that I has never heard in his life, yet part of him remembers it all the same.
The blank-faced watch on his wrist chimes a single long tone. I-piece taps its face without taking his eyes off the path into the nightclub.
"Hello, T."
"You're not in position," T says through the speaker. Their voice betrays none of the frustration that I knows he must feel.
"I'm where I need to be," I-prime says.
"We talked about this—"
"Yes, you talked, that's what you do. I make decisions."
T-piece's response is cut off by further chimes from the watch. Short, long, short, short—then the voice of L comes through.
"There's no time," she says. "The Boss just Held onto J. It's on, it's now."
"As expected," says I.
With a snap of his fingers the air before him splits. I-prime reaches into the crack between two universes and retrieves his sniper rifle. He looks down its sights, out the window, down the gleaming street.
Someone approaches the door to the club. A tall, svelt man with a face that I-prime is so sick of seeing other people wear.
I wonder what this one's named, I-prime muses as he lines up the shot.
Izaak? Ignacius? Indigo?
As he pulls the trigger on himself from another life, I-prime knows it doesn't matter what this alternate is called.
He lost track of their names a long time ago.

One of my favorite stories to tell about myself from when I was a kid is the story how my grandma’s “Catching Fairies” game was banned because of me
So when I was really little my grandma had this game she made up, she’d give me and all my cousins jars and containers and tell us that in her garden there were fairies but they were smart and tricky so they disguised themselves as caterpillars and butterflies and as grasshoppers and worms.
Whoever caught the most ‘Fairies’ won but we had to set them all free because they tended to the garden
One summer day my brothers were at the age they were dreading ‘girly’ stuff so I was playing alone
At this point I had met all the fairies in the garden and I was getting bored without any competition and with finding the same old fairies
But then just as I was begrudgingly heading back to my grandma with the same fairies as usual I found a new fairy!
I thought she was so beautiful! She was resting on the sparkly thread in the leaves and her black body gleamed in the sunlight, she had long legs and a cool red spot on her back
Excited I coaxed her onto my hand and was so giddy I found a new one! I rushed back to the farm house to show my Grandma and Dad, gently carrying my new friend.
But when my Dad and Grandma turned around to see what fairy I caught I saw the color drain from their faces and both of them freeze, I could tell something was wrong but didn’t understand
My dad congratulated me and asked me if he could see the pretty fairy, I let him but felt a little nervous seeing how terrified he looked as she moved into his hands from mine.
Slowly he walked back towards the door, my grandma clutching my shoulders then my dad LAUNCHED the fairy back into the garden which I thought was rather rude
Then we had a nice long talk about Black Widow spiders

I missed drawing my favorite "tarantula man", I can't wait for Beyond to come out in 2027!🕷️💕
I had to do this fanart since I watched that silly duck movie Migration, and there was that hug scene between the ducklings that inspired me 🤣
"My man needs many hugs from the Spiderlings!"..this scenario won't probably never happen between them after ATSV events, but a fangirl can dream!!

and now all these other knights are coming around like "please let me serve you" and like obviously hes going to let them serve him thats the point of being a good and noble king but its also. very annoying. one of you become the good and noble king for once lets trade

The sentences "Asexuals can still have sex" and "Aromantics can still date" need to go up on the high shelf for everyone except aces and aros talking about their own experiences. From now on, everyone else has to use the revolutionary new phrase "Asexuals and aromantics can do whatever the fuck they want forever."

SF Bookstore The Booksmith Commits to Stop Stocking JK Rowling's Books
trans book lovers + accomplices! go support The Booksmith, an indie bookstore in san francisco, that recently decided to stop stocking jk rowling's books in solidarity with trans people. their statement (beneath which, at the link, is a list of alternative wizard books) is as follows:
In May of 2025, author JK Rowling publicly committed to using her private wealth from the Harry Potter series to develop the "JK Rowling Women's Fund," an organization dedicated to removing transgender rights "in the workplace, in public life, and in protected female spaces." With this announcement, we've decided to stop carrying her books. We don't know exactly what her her "women's fund" will entail, but we know that we aren't going to be a part of it. As a group of queer booksellers, we also had our adolescence shaped by wizards and elves. Look at us, it's obvious. If you or someone you love wants to dive into the world of Harry Potter, we suggest doing so by buying used copies of these books. Or, even better, please find below a list of bookseller-curated suggestions for books we genuinely love that also might fit the HP brief for you and yours. Many are series; some are standalone. Books for the younger folks are listed first, switching to teen/YA about halfway through (the book Wise Child is the first in the YA section). Questions? Concerns? orders at booksmith dot com. Happy reading, solidarity forever.
visit + order from them if you can, share either way!
