My MILGRAM Curtain Call Reaction

My apologies, I don't usually ramble on this account, but here I am...! Spoilers for MILGRAM's newest upload and a bit of Project: Eden's Garden under the cut! Oh, and hi to the Milgram and P:EG fans^^ I hope you aren't as devastated as I am!

1 month into 2025 and I've lost my 5 favorite characters... At first, Wolfgang and Eva, and now (most possibly), Haruka, Shidou and Mahiru... What is going on???? 2025 really isn't my year :'))

I assume they're dead at least. It's heavily implied, heck, even spelled out for us in the newest upload that they did die. If they somehow appear alive and somewhat well in the t3 re-intros of the prisoners... It would be a great thing indeed. But then again, highly unlikely

They're last timeline dialogs are killing me as well... especially Shidou's. I wonder how Kazui will take his death. I wonder how Es will take Mappi's passing. I wonder if Muu will crash out when she learns of Haruka's demise... It really is a sad thing to think about.

Man... I never thought they'd actually kill people off before T3. I do suppose it was naive of me to think they wouldn't kill off any characters now, it's the end game after all. I guess I'll have to start the coping process all over again! Perhaps I should pump out some ghosts designs for these three characters... It's how I coped with the P:EG Ch1 deaths, after all.

My motivation is always spurred by the most unfortunate moments, so my apologies!

Haruka, Shidou, Mahiru, you three will always be famous...

Hi! Just wanna say I lobe your AU and how you portray the characters!

One thing that I wanted to ask is that do the ghosts have a unique ability related to their death or their talents? Or do they just have usual ghost features?

Thank you for liking the AU^^ I've never elaborated on ghost abilities much in the comics, but they do have some that I may elaborate on if I ever write a fic about this AU.

Well, aside from the quirks they have (The water dripping from Wolfgang's ghost causing people to slip, and the burning smell Eva's ghost emits), The ghosts have some unique abilities, some affect the living, some don't.

In Entry 2, Eva can be seen walking away from Wolfgang after attacking him with a few math equipment. She can throw math equipment at fellow ghosts and use her compass arm and scissor arm as well. This can only affect ghosts.

Wolfgang can also use his knife arm on other ghosts. It won't necessarily wound them, but it will hurt just like how the living would be if they got stabbed with a knife. This can also only affect ghosts.

Both ghosts have an effect on the living when they phase through them. When Eva phases through someone, the person feel a moment of searing heat. When Wolfgang phases through someone, the person feels their body jitter and freeze momentarily.

This does not harm any of the living however. The ghosts also don't feel anything when they do this.

It's me again, I wanna know if the others can hear the math materials screeching whenever Eva walks or is it just the burning the living (aside from Damon) can smell?

Hello again^^ Only Damon can hear the ghosts' movements. The burning is the only thing from Eva's ghost that the living can perceive.

The only exception to this is if there will ever be a ghost in the future that has a quirk that has to do with sound. I'll have to wait and see if there will be a death that I can work with for that kind of thing, though.

Damon Sees Ghosts - Entry#4 !Ch1 Spoilers!

The final story-progressing entry for now. I've been busy lately, but I look forward to putting my ao3 account to good use for this AU someday, or making art for this AU.

The following were supposed to be scenes for an MV animatic, but I wasn't able to finish it. Still, have what I was able to make^^

Warning: Some flashing imagery, and of course, Spoilers for Chapter 1.

This animatic uses the song Kilmaa by Niru Kajitsu AKA NILFRUITS, with the cover being done by Miyashita Yuu.

The topic of this video was supposed to shed light on the ghosts watching the living.

These may not be the best predictions, but for the sake of the world not being at a standstill, I feel obligated to depict what was happening outside of Damon's room.

I think Diana would try her best to follow in Wolfgang's footsteps, but try to make up for what he didn't do, which was to include every student in plans to escape the killing game. However, due to the events of the first trial, I don't think anyone would believe in her efforts.

Also, her new haircut paired with taking one of Wolfgang's jackets... Such a change would spark a memory for Wolfgang... At least, I think.

As for Grace, I think she'd be one of the most vocal skeptics among the cast, second to Wenona. The only person in the killing game she felt okay to be vulnerable around has died due to his trust in others. If trust and kindness got such a good man killed, Grace would decide to withdraw from the others. The least she could do for Wolfgang was to not get herself killed or have anyone mislead.

Now, she carries around a golf club to protect herself from would-be attackers.

Now for the other plot point, Tozu's letter. The latter half of the animatic was supposed to be about Tozu confronting Damon about a certain something that I won't disclose. I still have hope I'll find time to reveal what happens through a fic for the DSG AU or another entry in the near future.

This may be the last Tumblr entry for now. But, if you want to ask questions about this AU, I won't mind^^ Perhaps I'll also make some Tumblr content for this AU, though it won't progress the story and probably just work on what I've already said.

HIII i love this au so much ou…. i’m going to yap a lot but here’s a question!!!!! how would each ghost + damon react/feel when meeting a new ghost? like; a new victim/culprit that just died and is a ghost now? thank youuu!!!!

Hello there, this was a very thought-provoking question, so much so that I had to go back to watch the trial of chapter 1. I'm not an expert at analyzing characters or whatnot, but here's how I think the ghosts and Damon would react to a new victim or murder becoming a ghost. Be warned. This is quite a long post.

Damon Maitsu

I think Damon would have expected it happen. His initial plan would be to ignore the new ghosts, but the plan would crumble pretty fast. Ghosts aren't easy things to ignore.

If Damon was stressed when Wolfgang bombarded him with questions as a ghost, he would probably lose his temper later on with new ghosts if they decide to bother him. But deep down, he'd probably pity them depending on how tolerable they are to be around.

He'd grow to be more sentimental over time, much to his disgust. The last thing he wants is to be "emotionally vulnerable" in a killing game. All over watching the misfortune of the dead.

He'd probably be scared to become one of them if they're suffering that much too... Which may lead him to becoming extra vigilant and only going outside of his room in company of any living person he still trusts, or a ghost like Eva or Wolfgang (due to their deal in Entry#3).

Eva Tsunaka

Eva... there was something I realized when she was executed. Everyone simply stood around watching as she struggled to cling to one of the podiums. Before she was even executed, no one openly acknowledged her side of things or stood up for her much.

Technically, the others proved her right. That even in death, she'd be treated poorly. Even though she did kill someone who meant well to the others, Eva was still proven right.

If she heard Diana's speech, I don't think she'll really appreciate it either.

So, to new ghosts, she'd avoid them and never speak to them. She'd simply watch their despair from a distance, mentally picking them apart, just like they did to her before she was executed. She'd feel immense pride in the fact that she was right about a lot of things.

Though, I think a part of her would also crack over time. Death is something way more than 'karma'. Death is permanent, it's irreversible. After being satisfied with the plight of someone you despise as they grieve and suffer... what else is there to revel in? Their very death? Is that really something to feel happy about?

Death will hurt everyone either way, even if she doesn't want to admit it. Even if she only watches from a distance, the death of the other Ultimates will eventually hurt her as well, regardless of how they treated her.

Wolfgang Akire

As for Wolfgang, seeing the Ultimates die and turn into ghosts would hurt him, which he would be quite open about. He'd be very much nicer to any victims than to any culprits (he may put that knife arm to good use if he's extra 'disappointed'). But he will make exceptions if, for example, a culprit killed on accident and was remorseful.

He'd try to 'help', only to realize there's so little that he could do. The more that die, the more he realizes just how much he was wrong about- which is pretty much the opposite of Eva's situation.

Even though he may try to have hope in their situation, even if he tries to make the ghosts a little less shaken over their passing, it doesn't change anything. I think that sort of thing would discourage him, and perhaps he'd withdraw from interacting with the other ghosts later on into the game.

If ever, he'd still hold up well in conversation with other ghosts, but there's not a lot to talk about when you want to dance around the fact you and the person you're speaking to are both dead. He'd definitely try to avoid the topic.

Maybe he'll stick with speaking to Damon and haunting the living as usual... It really depends on who dies later on in the game.

To summarize, Damon would begrudgingly acknowledge them, but lose his temper more often than not, Eva wouldn't interact with any of the ghosts at all unless absolutely necessary, and Wolfgang would try to help ghosts grapple with their death, but that wouldn't help them much.

Again, I'm sorry for the long post, but I just felt like going in-depth about how these guys feel about any future deaths, and your question was a good opportunity to talk about it^^ I also apologize in advance if there's any spelling errors.

This is definitely get annoying with the amount of questions I'm gonna ask since I got hyperfixated on this au but I have a few more questions, why Damon specifically? Like why can only he see ghosts? Also hypothetical question you don't have to answer but what would happen if a nosy classmate (Kai, Jett, Cassidy) were to get a hold of Damon's journal?

Hello once more^^ I don't mind the questions, so don't worry.

Technically, I chose Damon since he was the protag and I assume he'll live long enough to survive the game. Story-wise, there is a reason he sees ghosts that he isn't aware of.

For this AU, he had a reaction to the gas that knocked the cast out in the train during the prologue- which brought him to the brink of death, but he was able to be resuscitated for the killing game. Due to this near death scenario he didn't know of, he is able to see ghosts. This is up for change if anything happens in the later chapters that make this impossible, though.

As for your second question, I actually planned for Kai to find Damon's journal in Entry 4 (to be posted), but I thought it was too early for that. I still believe he'll be alive for longer, so maybe he'll be in an entry come the next chapter releases.

All I can say is that Damon would have to go through the drag of trying to prove he wasn't going nuts and that the ghosts were real... And he would definitely not like it at all. He wants to keep his ability a secret for as long as possible.

Okay, one stupid thought that stuck in my head... What do ghost voices sound like? That is, for example, how are their voices normal, but with an echo, or did the way they died affect their voice, or is everything normal? (Sorry for the bad English)

Don't worry, I believe I understand the question^^

I like to imagine that their voices are quite raspy and generally whispery. It would take a lot of energy (and pain) for them to raise their voices.

It's hard to explain, but to Damon, their voices sound slightly different due to the ghost-human interaction. The best way to describe it would be... If the ghost's words were whispered again a few times and layered upon itself

When ghosts interact with each other, they don't have issues with that and can hear each other without the distortion.

Yes, the other ultimates can smell the burning that comes with Eva's ghost. It's not just Damon that is affected by it.

Any future ghosts in the AU will have small quirks like that that will mess with the living as well.

Damon Sees Ghosts - Entry#2 !Ch1 Spoilers!

Here we are again... Oh and heads up- Entry 3 will be a YT video. I made an unlisted one for the Discord, but I decided to make a public version with a few tweaks to the dialog.

Chapter Thoughts:

I knew Wolfgang never had a chance at surviving the game. His talent, personality, and all made me think that he'd be the first target a would-be culprit would think of.Honestly, wouldn't ask for any other 1st chapter victim.

The choice was perfect.

The AU:

Wolfgang is the second ghost Damon meets. Their first interaction would be in the boiler room, where the students would have made a memorial for Wolfgang, and upon Diana's request, Eva as well.

Just like how Eva's ghost struggles with dying as the Ultimate Mathlete, Wolfgang struggles with... Well, dying before proving himself. I assume he was trying to prove he wasn't like his father, or trying to prove that he could achieve what his mother had as a lawyer.

With this, I believe Wolfgang would be quite sentimental as a ghost. He left people he cared for behind, he never got a chance to prove himself, and all his efforts to keep the group together were in vain. Since he can't interact with the living, save for Damon, I believe the isolation would have made him feel quite hopeless.

Damon, though disappointed in how Wolfgang coped, humors his questions and company. As for Eva... She still holds a grudge against him.

The Design:

Though his design isn't exactly my favorite, I like the little details I was able to cram in. The knife arm is my particular favorite despite it being a last-minute addition. It will serve as a constant reminder of one of his greatest regrets, pretty much traumatizing Diana.

Another aspect I like is how with his head tilted down, he'll always get a good view of his reflection in the puddle of water beneath him. He faces the fact that he's dead, constantly... I wonder how long it would take him to accept it.

Additional Thoughts:

I want to write a confrontation between Damon and Wolfgang about the blackmail motive... It would probably be too deep to be suited for a journal entry. Perhaps after that confrontation, Damon could accept that he, as a human, feels sympathy, which leads to him gaining the courage to talk to Eva.

Damon Sees Ghosts - Entry#1 !Ch1 Spoilers!

Chapter Thoughts:

Eva Tsunaka... I never saw her as an extreme favorite until I saw her FTEs. She's quite a mood (as someone who joined a bunch of math comps myself) , and I adore her relationship with Damon. But I have to admit, she makes for a terrific first culprit. I wouldn't have chosen anyone else.

I miss her already...

The AU:

I would expect Eva to be silently grappling with her death. Even when Damon can see her, she wouldn't approach him. Regret and a bit of spite would keep her from opening up to him again. And honestly, I believe Damon would have felt the same way... Though they would both probably miss the interactions they had before the big incident.

Eva envies yet holds a grudge against the living ultimates. She'll never get another chance at life to define herself as someone else other than a mathlete and a murderer. She 'lived' as the Ultimate Mathlete, and ultimately, she died as one.

As for her interactions with Wolfgang's ghost, she'd ignore him and get hostile when he approaches her to talk. Somewhere between entry#2 and entry#3, Damon convinces her to act somewhat civil when they're in the same room.

As for Diana... Eva is still trying to figure out how she feels about her. She knows that she'd still go through with her murder if she befriended Diana, and yet she wonders if anything would have ended up differently if the two bonded more.

I digress, I am not the characters themselves, but I like to think in their shoes at times.

The Design:

The design was honestly the best out of the two. The crown of math equipment and the math dress were tedious to draw, but in the end, I think it paid off. My favorite aspect of her design, though, is the compass arm and scissor arm.

Oh and... Apologies for the crown and skirt being inconsistent at times.

Even though I love the design... If Eva were here to see her ghost self, she'd feel quite insulted. Even in death, she will be the Ultimate Mathlete one way or another... And her ghost form would be a physical reminder.

Additional Thoughts:

Over all, I think I was still trying to getting a hang of writing as Damon at this point, so things are definitely quite... weird for him to say in this entry. If I ever write a fic about this AU, I would certainly add a bunch of new info and reword some stuff.

Anyway, Eva Tsunaka, you will always be famous.

PJSK Slay The Princess AU - The Prisoner and The Voice of the Skeptic

My apologies, I'm not the best at drawing bird people.

I thought they'd fit nicely for this role, the Princess's plan in the Prisoner chapter and the Skeptic catching onto it made me think of them. Also, Skeptic winking gives off Akito energy. If things were to progress to the Cage Chapter, I'd like to think Ena would act in as the Voice of the Cheated, Akito being pissed with her when the blade gets thrown away.

Alternatively, this chapter could probably work with MafuEna.

Perhaps I could draw MinoHaru or Emukasa Damsel and Voice of the Smitten next? Or any other pairings I can cook up. There's just so many possible pairings that fit with all these chapters.
