Man you have no idea how much I wanted to do a Storm piece, especially in the X-Men Red outfit; it took me a while to figure out what kind of pose I wanted to do, but also to gain the confidence in my ability to draw it to pull it off for multiple elements.

There's a few things I want to go back and, I feel like iron out is a poor choice of words, but touching up is also not a good one; that implies there's something wrong, when I just like tinkering and I also realize that endlessly chasing perfection is somewhat pointless in art; but overall and aside from nitpicks I'm very happy in what I ended up putting out there.

Let this be a lesson in self-esteem, I guess?

I've been on a kick of doing everything digital now, and this was the first iteration of that project. Nova is one of my low key favorites in the Marvel universe, especially in the cosmic realm. I might come back and fiddle with it a bit more but it was a very fun first outing.

On Contracting and Pictures

Finished my first major project as an independent contractor. It was an experience.

Also I'm a little confused why the Tron picture is still getting as many likes as reblogs as it has. I mean I like it and I'm glad everybody else has liked it, but I remember Tron being a much more niche franchise than I'm being made aware of everytime I log back on here.

Anyways I wanna do more portraits so I'll let y'all know what I plan to do next.

While I don't have a very high opinion of the Zeb Wells run of ASM, and I definitely don't like the suit, I wanted to take a swing at it and see if I could make it work in my art style going off of Pat Gleason's original design notes. I think it looks bad still, but hey, gave it a try and I'm happy with the shading on the glow.

No idea why my Cyclops piece is blowing up but I'm okay with that. I should maybe do more with that design going off it getting some attention.

Glad I was able to do a Miggy piece before Across the Spider-Verse leaves theatres.

I should do more Tron art considering there seems to be a cult following that never left when I did.

This was originally going to be an ad for like Stark Unlimited or something, but once I inked it and got it into digital I wasn't sure how I wanted to take it from there. It's cool on its own though, I'll probably get around to doing more with it in the near future.

I've been watching the Pokemon anime as it comes out with fixed subs, and the chaotic nature that every episode has been filled with is represented no better than with this picture.

Also Brock is the first of the protags to climb on the Magikarp Sub to my knowledge, so good for him.
