The Generosity Campaign Has Ended!

A special thank you to everyone who helped support this amazing cause in the fight for Youth Justice! We’ll post how much we will be donating after we calculate all of the production/ shipping costs but we can say that we raised a whopping $690! YOU ALL ARE THE BEST!

To our awesome donors: in the coming months, be sure to check your emails, as we’ll keep updating you all with information on when you’ll be receiving your goodies as well as our final donation to the Campaign for Youth Justice.

The Generosity Campaign Goes Live Tomorrow!

Hey everyone!

We’re back! (wait where did you go?)

First off, today is the first day of October! 

Happy Youth Justice Awareness month (here in the U.S)!

September was a crazy month for us! This is our first time running a zine and we’ve been working hard making sure everything goes great - production wise! We’ve finally worked out everything with printers and manufacturing (we also have some stickers and a pin! :D ) for the reward tiers for the generosity campaign!

That said, the campaign will go live tomorrow and be up for 30 days! We’ll make another post to spread around! We hope we can raise our goal for The Campaign for Youth Justice!

Thanks for all the support and messages keeping in touch and up to date with us. We appreciate all the support and hard work the artists put into making this happen!

Hey everyone! We’ve been getting some anon messages and emails about whether we’ve finished sending out emails! 

This process has been so tough! We love all your OCs so much! Please make sure you’re checking your email inboxes! Although we put the 30th as our acceptance email day, we’re still sending out the last bunch of emails this morning! 

We have a limited number of spots so if we don’t get confirmations by this afternoon we’re gonna have to give the spots away! We’re so excited for this zine and we appreciate everyone’s support!

Update: Zine Size!

Hey everyone we have a quick announcement to make! 

It’s been a rollercoaster ride of a time looking through all your applications! We wish we could put everyone’s OC in the zine! 

Having received hundreds of applications we decided that we wanted to increase the number of artists included in the zine! We were not anticipating the level of interest so we had originally planned on 35 artists. We have now opted for a total of 50 artists in the zine. 

However, more artists means more pages and to keep the zine’s production cost at a reasonable price we’re scaling the zine down from the original 8.5 by 11 inches to 6 by 9 inches. 

The zine will still be at a comfortable reading size and the art will be in great printed quality... plus (our favorite part) there will be MORE ART and MORE OCs! :D

We’re nearly done with the selection process so emails will be going out soon!

How much artistic talent do you need to apply? I'd like to apply, but I'm only a budding artist!

Hi Anon! 

There is no quota or threshold for “talent” in the zine! Like many zines, the collection of work in our zine will be decided on many different criteria. We’ll be weighing the feel, the characters & the styles of art equal to the technical ability of the artists! When it comes to zines we feel you should always apply and let the curators decide what “budding” means. 

You may be more talented than you let on and a better fit for the zine than you know. ;)
