I do believe there was a point in yoo sangah's life where she didn't know how to be herself, how to be comfortable with it, how to embrace it when it was so different to what was expected, hence she tried being someone else by fulfilling every expectation in spite of herself so that perhaps her situation would change. she couldn't bear being herself and wanted to be someone else, someone who could fulfil the expectations while staying true to their wants, someone who could be seen.

idk if y'all remember that instance when yoo sangah decided to read all of dokja's memories, a move which made a lot of people hate her, but, here's my take on that: yoo sangah is a person who knows how to take risks, or at least she tries to know how to assess them correctly, and, you know, to have a relationship it is necessary to take those risks, especially if you want to get closer to someone else, if you want to let them know you're there for them. Then, what if the person you wanted to get closer to and so badly understand is Kim Dokja? The guy who's so deeply ashamed of himself he has to hide behind a wall, the guy who feels so proud of not letting anyone get to know him because he believes no one can nor will ever understand him so it's better to push them away, the coworker who paired up with you on your first interview, the coworker who kept quiet while you put pepper onto the coffe machine and even took the effort to move the cameras so that they wouldn't fire you, he, the one who talks to you without the intention to get something back nor seeing you as an object, and who also seems to be okay with you despite feeling so distant, Dokja, Kim Dokja, your dear friend.

And then he sacrifices himself. Over and over again. What would you do then? Yoo Sangah can't just stand there doing nothing, watching him suffer silently. She's an empath, she wants to be there for people, and he's her friend, she has to do something about it, let him know all KimCom is there for him, that she's there for him, but he's being so stubbornly distant with everyone. It is also at this point of the novel where Dokja's debating whether to tell them that they're all characters of a novel, and therefore being much more distant. What is there to do for yoo sangah? It's a desperate situation, and such desperate times require bigger risks to take in for the relationship; to read dokja's memories is dangerous, it is to overstep his boundaries and privacy, dokja may never want to talk to her again, because it is a betrayal in itself. Yoo sangah knows all of this, but she's willing to take the risk, for him. It is incredibly selfish as well, but it is the only way out for her, the only way she feels she can reach out to him beyond that wall.

really early sangsoo its so fun because wdym sangah, who has been shown to be kind and caring, is the one who absolutely despises han sooyoung and wants her dead, while han sooyoung, the one who has been killing and manipulating, is just there to mock sangah and reveal the absolute worst of her?? don't get me wrong, han sooyoung definitely wants her dead too, but annoying her it's just better

And then when sangah realizes sooyoung's just trying to annoy her and get a reaction so she just stops and tries to be more tolerant, han sooyoung just like "huh? wtf? you can't possibly be like this. you're unbelievable. and i hate you."

there's something so tragic about jihye's first decision when the scenarios ended was to disembark in the station of her old high school, and then, when regressing to the 1865th it was trying to save Bori, it's like she has never fully accepted her loss until that point and she's holding onto every tiny chance of returning back to her old life, Bori and everyone being alive again... It really makes you wonder if part of jihye's will to keep living was only to see Na Bori once again, even if it were only a minuscle possibility

do you ever think about how Sooyoung's childhood was like, how she was left alone to grow up, how she was basically erased from her parents memory in a way Sooyoung couldn't even consider them as family ever, how that would mean she never got to feel what a family was like, how neglected she was and how the only way she was shown love was through objects, through money, never through real love, and how in spite of that she still managed to pick herself up and go persue whatever she wanted to achieve, how even when she was never shown love she still had this monstrous affection to save Kim Dokja's little world trough sole words— AUGHHH, it's just too much, she's incredible

I think one of the main differences between Han Sooyoung and Yoo Sangah is how they both react to expectations, while Han Sooyoung ignores them because it's your problem what you think about her not hers, Sangah has the need to fulfill them, and it's not even fulfilling the expectations you have for her but rather the ones she created for herself for you. She always wants to be the best for people, to be there, even if sometimes it means to neglect some parts of herself. This also means sometimes she either gives you something you don't necessarily want or confuses what you expect from her as something she needs to do. As for Han Sooyoung, I feel like she ignores every expectation as a way to protect herself from the possibility of not fulfilling them because if it were to happen the thought would be unbearble. Also, it's not like she ever had to fulfill any expectations to begin with, whether she was well-behaved or punched anyone in the face, nobody would care, not even her parents, so she might as well just do whatever she wants.
