I think the thing I find fascinating about the Drop-Out webcomic is that it shows people who don't think they're gonna wake up tomorrow and what they'd say to each other, what they'd do, where they'd go. I think that in a way, you don't really know who you are until you stop thinking about tomorrow, stop panicking, stop preparing for once in your life. "But wouldn't you be stressed about what you have to do before the end?" If you're worried about that, then you're not really thinking about it the way I am. You don't think of it as the end, you think of it as "what happens after today doesn't matter". I'm barely awake, will come back to this later because it's probably incomprehensible.

Old shit is not better because it's old, it's still shit. You only see it as better because it has the aesthetics of the good old days and quality materials as if everything else about it isn't a primitive overcomplicated mess.

I will never understand guys who bitch about new cars being so hard to work on while I'm sitting there having an autistic staring contest with a vacuum system that's more complicated than the Los Angeles power grid and more rusty than a shipwreck. I hate the car guy experience. You're surrounded by insecure, stubborn men who will bitch and moan and complain about the new Charger being electric, and when they get a gas version, they complain some more about it being an Inline 6 and an automatic, because their idea of what works is stuck in their high school days, AKA 1972. It’s hardly a new thing. The Cleveland Museum of Natural History’s live animal exhibit has these for their animals, from foxes to bobcats. The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo has the same thing for their tigers. They even sleep in the overhead tubes and it’s adorable. Both have been installed for as long as I remember. It’s weird that they gave it a techbro name when it’s fairly common as far as I can tell.
