gang. i finally did it.

Kalina was tired of being a shadow. Operation after operation failed because she couldn't get involved directly. She had eyes and ears. What she needed were hands. And there was a particular pair of hands she had in mind. A child's pair of green hands, already dexterous despite his young age. Those hands were adept at teasing blocks from behind couch cushions and scrawling the correct answers on every assignment, but they grasp at other hands far too often. He'd require testing. Refinement. But she'd spent so long as just whispers in ears, she could sink a few years into training her hands. She'd hedged enough bets. It was time for an investment. A Kalina kidnaps/trains Riz AU. Ft. newsies, conspiracies, violence, ACAB, manipulation, grief, and a metric ton of crime.

It's finally over. A year and a half later, almost 500k words, Midnight Oil is completed. What a journey it's been. Thanks to everyone who's been along for the ride <3
