Old Art Dump #1

All of these are from one of my earliest sketchbooks, circa 2017–2018

I think I'm going to start posting some of my really old art on here because I only recently realized that I don't have any of it archived. Most of that old work is on paper, and I'd like to make it easier to see my development as an artist while also preserving my old work if something unfortunate happens to those sketchbooks. Especially during a time when AI is rampantly convincing people they need to be "born" with artistic talent to draw.

I genuinely think the idea that if you should draw a little every day or you'll suffer skill degradation is a total fabrication. Some of the best art I've ever drawn has been coming back from long breaks. I'm talking like weeks. Sometimes you just gotta reset and flush the systems. There's no shame in it. Take breaks. The art will be there for you when you're ready.
