Had a really great day today!! I was given this vintage combination machine by a customer at work. It’s a planer (or jointer) and mini saw bench, which run off a Hoover motor. I got the machine home set about giving it a quick clean before I started stripping it down. A quick test and the motor is working, but it most definitely needs a new belt. After removing the decades and decades of dirt, dust and wood chips, I began stripping it down. Recent haul from Facebook marketplace included this hand cranked grinder, it’s a lot smaller than my other grinder and I can’t see a makers mark on their just yet. I stripped it down and each individual part is soaking in engine oil. Cleaned up my no5 at the weekend.
