One of these was drawn several months ago (and touched up slightly to fit my current style), while the rest were drawn recently.

Maybe I got a bit ambitious with the composition, especially since I was scrounging for time to get this done (we had quite a busy month) which meant I couldn't focus on details as much. But I knew I wanted to make something that felt significant for my boi.

I initially planned to include even more characters; the entirety of Gen 1 and a handful of others, but I knew that would've been too much for me to handle.

So I left on the cutting room floor-

The characters who Cody is on more negative terms with canonically (Duncan, Courtney, Alejandro)

Katie and Sadie (Sorry)

All but three of the post Gen 1 characters.

It's also the one year anniversary of posting my Total Drama art. Not that it's an especially significant thing to note, but it's pretty cool nonetheless.

Here are some alternate renders.

The background is mostly just a mix of background tiles & tones in MediBang, as well as overlays and decorative brushes.

Next are the characters laid out individually and transparently (Sans Justin, Trent, DJ and Lightning as they're egregiously incomplete below the shoulders (At least they have a full head, which is more than can be said of Zeke or Sierra))

Cody & Dawn and LeShawna & Beth were drawn on the same layer, so I can't really separate them.

Geoff, Izzy and Tyler are just very small.

Some characters get cool outfits, some get very light redesigns, a couple look pretty much how they do in the show.

Izzy is dressed as a piñata, because why wouldn't they be?

Harold's look is very loosely based on Beat from JSRF

LeShawna's design is based on a look she has in Dramarama.

I can't draw Gwen the same way twice.

Nobody else has any specific inspirations for their looks.

Now that I think of it, the centre of the drawing is not dissimilar to what I drew last year. Similar compositionally, but different contextually.

Kinda embarrassing to look at my older art now, but that just means I'm super happy with the stylistic evolution. You can tell I've gotten more comfortable with the way I draw TD characters.

Anyway, enough of my rambling.

if you were to make Cody half(anything you want)-half canadian, what would you make the other half be?

Obviously, I would headcanon Cody as half Canadian, half Alien /hj

In all seriousness, I don't have a lotta solid headcanons, I change my mind depending on what "fanon timeline" I'm thinking about at any given time, but in my mind, Cody is half Swedish on his dad's side (due to the surname ofc)

And for some reason, I think his mother is originally from Australia, and Jerry the emu plush was originally hers (which is why Cody is more attached to it, it's one of the few things he has that has actual sentimental value)

So I guess that makes him half Swedish, half Australian, born in Canada, some alien thrown in there somewhere idk

Hey hey! I know you're not taking requests, but do you take art commissions? Your style is absolutely PHENOMENAL, and I'd love to get some work from you if you're down!

Unfortunately, I am not currently taking art commissions. That's not to rule out the possibility of doing them in the future though.

Just figuring out the Ts&Cs and rates, having a consistent workflow and being confident in the standard of quality I can consistently output are hurdles I'm not ready to tackle yet.

Maybe one day, but not today.

She was one of my few Asian representation as a kid so seeing her drawn like that made me smile. Thanks for letting us see your cool art.

For a long time I've been quite shy and perfectionistic when it comes to putting my art out into the world, but hearing how it gives others just as much a sense of joy to see it as I get when I make it is something truly special.

In a way, it's like what I'm putting in is coming back around, and I just think that's really neat.

Hi, I just wanted to say that I love your Zoey design just for the fact that you gave her side bangs. That somehow just made her look even better.

I've never really liked her character design until you've drawn her so thank you. Cue my rushed redraw to illustrate what I mean.

Ps: All of your modifications to the td cast are really REALLY good. I just wanted to talk about Zoey today.

I agree, the framing strands help balance out her otherwise top-heavy head shape and I think they inform her character more, softening her image as opposed to the more confident impression of the tucked-back look.

Aside from drawing her in my style, the only thing I really did to her design was give her natural roots.

The situation has been resolved, they only forgot to put credit. All is well and good.

Sorry if I sounded curt in this post, I had made it after just waking up with a flood of activity and little to no context. I was in a weird mood and felt like I had to write down something without really thinking it through.

No ill will against bfb_roboty, it was only an honest mistake.

I don't have an account on that site, and I'm certainly not starting today.

As for the repost, I'm not going to go out of my way to take any actions against it (I'm not really sure how to anyway) but this is kind of a weird situation to be in for me. I knew this kind of thing would inevitably happen, but I still don't know how I feel about it.

On one hand-

I don't mind my fanart being used however people would like to, and have indicated as such through my pinned post.

I was also very aware of the blatant theft/reposting culture on the internet long before I started posting my art here, so I was already braced for that kind of thing potentially happening.

Plus, the thing I care most about when posting my art is that people can enjoy it and be inspired by it, whether or not my name is attached.

But on the other hand-

the fact that they blatantly reposted my art with no credit or transformative element seems kind of disrespectful. It feels like less of a way to share something that they found enjoyable or inspiring and more of an easy way to get cheap internet points.

Because of my lack of an account, my access to the repost and reposter's account is limited, but if they steal other's artworks in the same vein, I hope that the affected artists can at least have their artworks removed or credited to their request.

Inaction is probably not the right call in this situation, but I don't wanna stress over it, so I'll just let it be.
