Hey there! Sorry to butt in but we're the system that sent that first ask, and at first I genuinely thought it WAS our ask just somehow being answered again, and it took me a bit to realize it was someone else going through the same thing.

Anon, if I had to guess, we're probably talking about the same video. (Especially with the rad as hell pronouns those two use, they're very techie-sounding which really fits with the source we were referring to)

I just wanna let you guys know that, if you want someone to talk to who knows what this stuff is like, you're more than welcome to reach out to us. I know this absolutely sucks, I know our factive is really struggling, and I know yours are too. So if you just need someone to talk to who understands, we are definitely here with wide-open arms!

It's okay and normal to be scared for them, and for your system in the case of their dormancy. And it must be hard to lose a protector, when pixel has been helping you through a lotta stuff... and to lose the other factive. You seem like you care a lot about bite.

And it's okay for those factives to feel awful about this. This must've been a mighty shock, and an attack to your systemhood. I also understand it's real toughsville to not take it personally when your source is bein' hated from all directions. I'll tell ya this: know that you - and both of them - are not alone. And the haters don't know the real them. They're not insulting them personally. They don't know what pixel and theory really are like. They got no idea they're better people and that they're hurting, too.

As for preventing dormancy, it depends on how your system works.

You can try makin' them both feel welcomed and cared for. Listen to them. Respect what they want and need (even if they don't know what they want or need). Make sure you're there for them, and reassure them they're not bad people for bein' (a factive of) [source].

You could also try using things they like as a front-bait sort of thing - use stuff they enjoy that isn't related to their source. Like a favorite food, favorite show (that isn't that youtuber's series), maybe pets, hobbies, comfort objects, stims, songs, and so on.

But sometimes, dormancy can't be prevented - especially during times of high stress. Dormancy might be needed for these factives to rest, take a break from all the hate and possibly trauma. In this case, since you've got (an)other protector(s), and maybe (a) trusted out-system friend(s), this would be a good time to talk to them and tell them you need support.

Systematic SMP

I know we hardly use this blog but I figured it was the best place to put it!

We have a new Minecraft SMP going. It is meant for systems and ally singlets. It’s on the latest Java edition. We encourage lore but don’t require it, same with streaming/recording!

We allow systems of any origin type, systems with any type of headmates, and we do our best to provide a judgement-free space. We don’t allow fakeclaiming, bullying, or anything like that.

We are very specific in what singlets can join. For a singlet to join, they have to have a system that can vouch for them and say they’re a safe person to be around systems. We do this to ensure the safety of our fellow system friends.

We have the bots PK and Tupper which systems are welcome but not required to use. Systems are welcome to be open or not about being a system when it comes to anything like streaming and whatnot.

When it comes to lore on the server, we allow systems to choose how to handle their own multiplicity character-wise. We have some systems canonically playing systems, we have some systems canonically playing singlets, and we have some systems canonically having different alters playing different-bodied characters. The only rule is that singlets must play singlets because we feel it would be inappropriate for a singlet to try to portray multiplicity.

I swear I’m going to kick Quinn’s ass. I’ve been sitting at the front worried out of my mind for half an hour now just hoping they or anyone else in their headspace would tell me that Quinn isn’t fucking dying or some shit. I’m assuming they’re still asleep but fucking hell this is terrifying.

OKAY BUT I WANNA INFODUMP ABT THE BOOKS NOW SINCE IM THINKIN ABT THEM AND IM EXCITED

OK SO out of everyone in this system I’m the only one who’s read the TVD books and I’m like. Highkey obsessed with them.

But as anyone who’s gotten into the books probably knows, the first four books come in omnibuses (aka you buy one book and it has multiple copies. In this case, there’s two of them; the first one has the first two books and the second one has the two after that) and the covers of said omnibuses match that of the later books, with half a face and some words. Interesting fact though: These omnibuses are rereleases! The first four books were originally released in 1991 (except the fourth, that was technically released in 1992). The first four were rereleased in 2007 as omnibuses, two years before the show’s pilot aired. The rest of the series then came out from 2009 (hm, wonder why) to 2014.

The omnibus rereleases and the more recent additions to the series all follow the same general theme for the covers: They have half of a face, typically assumed to be the face of one of the characters, as well as a little thing saying the trilogy it’s from, the volume in that series, and the title of the specific volume you’re holding. H O W E V E R, this is not the original type of covers!

See, when the books originally came out in the early nineties, they had COMPLETELY different covers! They updated it when they rereleased them and kept the new theme for the rest of them so they’d match, probably only updating so they’d fit with what most modern supernatural teen drama stories had. But the original, non-omnibus covers are completely different!

THAT is what’s coming in the mail. I found them on Amazon for like 5 dollars each. It’s the individual four books, as opposed to the omnibuses, and they have the OG covers!!! Y’all have NO fucking clue how excited I am for this shit.

I think they’re all used/secondhand, but good condition, and obviously if they’re like falling apart or something then I’m returning them. I just can’t WAIT to have these. I’m actually most excited for the fourth book, though, because I have a theory. I personally thought the last chapter of the book was COMPLETELY unnecessary, and it only served to set up for the rest of the series to continue. Like, literally you could remove the last chapter and the book still seems finished.

So... What if the original version doesn’t have that? I haven’t been able to find many discussions of the books online, because everyone is always talking about the show instead, so it isn’t like I totally would have found out about that by now just from looking online. Even when I TRY looking into it online, only stuff about the show comes up.

So I REALLY can’t wait for the fourth book so I can immediately flip to the last chapter and see if the unnecessary one is there or not. Which is why I’m so sad they aren’t here yet. I just wanna see how this shit was really supposed to be.
