Chapter 451:

Kiiru rallies the citizens into escaping before relaying the plan to Fiz (the fire girl who had a crush on Yakumo.). Yakumo himself fights off demons to get to Latori who tells him to leave her and go to the factory to help Negurooni. But he's attacked by The Invisible Ham, made worse by his movements being impaired by the poison. He gets wrecked, trying to think of a way to make her visible before he calls out Tou-chao.

So ends the chapter.

Chapter 450:

The invisible Ham confronts Latori and is about to decapitate her but Haan jumps in and...gets his horse's head chopped off.

Meanwhile, Ilana or whatever the main demon's lady's name is hangs with Negurooni in the factory, pointing out how weird it is that Yakumo came to Seiichi despite not knowing where Pai is. She knows Negurooni gave him a clue and tells her that she's getting Pai out while Yakumo and the others are busy. When Negurooni says she's working as fast as she can on the project, Ilana points out a dazed Yuriko carrying a weird egg...it turns out that Benares has sealed her soul and that thing is the cocoon of Bao-Yen-Long, the Fire Dragon. She betrays them again, it cracks open and all of Amara goes up in flames. Oh, and she has ten minutes to wake up Clone!Pai.

So Yakumo is still battling the Poison Demon, summoning the staff to impale him, save him and swoop in to save Haan. Haan is ungrateful and RouRou swoops in to tell Yakumo to focus on saving Latori. The chapter ends with Yakumo on his way to save Latori...

Chapter 449:

Yabel calls Clone!Haan a traitor but he counters Negurooni created him to protect the people of Amara and the factory, nothing else. He's done putting up with them but Yabel says, since they have Yakumo, they don't need him either so he's dead. But Yakumo takes off his talisman and puts it on Yabel, taking him down before he tells Kiiru (she's there) where Latori is. She says if they knew, they would have done something. Meanwhile, Clone!Haan takes off Yuuko's talisman and apologizes but she's cool. But Yakumo asks Clone!Haan where Latori is and the latter rudely brushes him off, asking why his talismans don't work on him. Also, Clone!Haan has a plan: get the citizens somewhere safe while he rescues Latori. Yakumo goes with him.

After being attacked by a bunch of monsters, Yakumo tells Clone!Haan to go on ahead and wait for him while he deals with them. He slaughtering them at first...before a demon pops out and injects him with poison. And he overheard where he and Clone!Haan are going to meet up. The chapter ends with Yakumo catching a glimpse of a bound Latori as he's being paralyzed.

Chapter 448:

Our boy's fucked...but Yakumo saves him, having pretended that the talisman was still working!

Yabel fights him while telling Ham to find Latori. If Yakumo keeps fighting, she'll cut her head off. That's when Yuuko chooses to tell Yakumo that Ham can turn invisible. Yabel then says he's going to chop up Yakumo into pieces and put a talisman on each one. Yakumo can't move without Latori being killed...so the chapter ends with Haan putting a talisman on the back of Yabel's head.

Chapter 447:

Clone!Haan says no!

So Yuuko makes him put a talisman on her and they're captured.

Out in the city, Benares is asked by Shiva what's the weird energy he's been feeling lately. Benares confirms it's Yakumo and Yuuko and Shiva says it don't matter because he's mid anyway. Benares apologizes for not getting rid of him already and Shiva tells him not to underestimate him before he leaves...only for the staff he took from Pai to act up. He just hands it to Benares who throws it away. The preparations for the ritual are complete...it's time for the clone.

The lash woman, Ham, goes up to another demon called Yabel to ask about Benares. He says that Shiva and him left and she snitches that Clone!Haan has nearly screwed up her capture of Yakumo, Yuuko and the two inhabitants of Amara...who she brings in. But she says they're harmless with the talismans on them. But she also says they'll stop working after a while...only Benares can seal a Wu permanently. But Yabel says it's good that Benares isn't here because he would kill them if he knew they let him into the Seiichi. Yakumo is hearing all of this and wonders if he should get the talisman off...but he wants to know where the real Pai is first.

But then Clone!Haan shows up, demanding Yuuko back. Ham lashes him away and say Yuuko is too dangerous to release. He grabs the staff, saying he'll rather die than work for her and the chapter ends with them clashing.

Chapter 446:

Haan is a clone.

Haan says his job is to protect Amara and the factory so they gotta bounce. Yuuko asks where the real Haan is and he says he don't care...he's him and that's what matters. But when Yuuko cries, it hurts him, Yakumo figuring out Haan's spirit is alive in the clone's genetic memory. He manages to fight off the talisman power and reaches Pai...but then some chick with a whip lashes at him. She tells Haan to seal Yuuko but Haan says that's above his paygrade and he's not taking orders. So she tells him to do it or she'll kill him. Yakumo tells Yuuko to let themselves be captured because it will save Haan too. Besides, he feels like something's wrong...his senses are telling him that the girl in the pod isn't someone he should protect.

The chapter ends with the whip girl ordering Haan to seal them.

Chapter 445:

Yakumo tries to cut her out but a barrier knocks him back. Lo and behold, Haan is there to keep him from opening the pod.

But it's not him and he keeps telling everyone to leave. Yakumo beats his ass and RouRou confirms it's not Haan...the latter ending the chapter by putting Talismans on Yakumo while RouRou says he's a clone.

Chapter 444:

The other warriors try to protect but the other demons stop them. Shiva finishes her off with a lightning bolt. The framing device warrior finishes her story and figures that Shiva killed his mother to stop her pain. But she's still pissed and Yakumo agrees he needs to be punished. But first, they need to figure out what he's up to in the Holy Land. The warrior tells him that after Ushasu's death, Yuriko and some others escaped and that Shiva's followers aren't hunting and killing but merely taking hostages. Yakumo figures that the hostages are to force Pai into something. But why do they need her? And why did they bring her to Negurooni's factory? Yakumo hates the factory...but Rou-Rou finds it nostalgic.

But then the chapter ends with Yuuko pointing out a familiar face in a pod...PAI!

Chapter 443:

Amara puts up a fight but as Benares says, only a Wu can fight a Wu. He's taken down and Ushasu dies with one last look at Shiva...

Chapter 442:

Since Ushasu was already badly sick when the enemy attacked, she couldn't handle the stress and...

Anyway, demons are watching the warriors despite finding them too weak to be a threat. But Yakumo and co. are nearby, preparing a battle plan. But the chapter ends with a flashback to the capital being attacked, Benares taking on Amara as Ushasu suffers...

Chapter 441:

Yakumo and RouRou are flying around but he's unnerved by the lack of demons. He can still sense Pai, Benares and Shiva nearby though and he's worried about Ushasu, Latori and the others from Amara. A demon does show up though, forcing them to hide. She eventually finds them but a warrior attacks her in revenge for Ushasu, forcing Yakumo to rescue her. But Yakumo has an issue: the demon is weak but if he counters, Benares will know he's there. By the time he's forced to fight back, he's saved by water...sent by none other than Yuuko!

She yells at him for being late and tells him Amara (the guy) was defeated and was sealed by Benares. Latori, Yoriko and everyone else was caught. Yakumo tells her Pai was captured...and Yuuko ends the chapter revealing Ushasu has passed away.

Chapter 440:

So Uukai goes to the dump and finds the other scarcely-clad demon, Kilra. Kilra calls her a traitor but Uukai points out that technically, she didn't betray anyone: Benares exiled her due to failure. She asks Kilra if she's trying to keep Yakumo out of Seiichi and Kilra confirms it, adding that she has a magic beast that will notify Benares immediately if Yakumo tries it. Uukai offers her some juicy dirt on Yakumo if she puts in a good word for her with Benares, which Kilra accepts. She says that she's been helping him all along...and traps Kilra.

Yakumo flies in on RouRou, heading for the portal while thanking Uukai. She reminds him that he promised her anything she wants if she helps him out and says she demands a good kiss. Yakumo...is a bit freaked out by that.

Of course, the magic beast is still sent and one of the demons is alerted that Yakumo is in the area. But it turns to stone, confusing the demon...and is petrified by Yakumo himself. Yakumo is still messed up over Uukai's wish and RouRou doesn't see it as a big deal. RouRou says Uukai loves Yakumo but he just thinks she loves embarrassing him...plus, he's with Pai. So RouRou says to do it secretly then.

After chastising RouRou for their fuckboyness, Yakumo and them find out the entrance to the fortress is sealed with talismans so they can't get in. RouRou suggests another route and Yakumo agrees...but he wonders who in the Seiichi can use talismans. The chapter ends with OH FUCK, HAAN IS BACK!

Chapter 439:

In Seiichi, one warrior is killed by a demon...who then complains about having to bring her back along with the others they've killed. Another demon tells the first one (Cyoukai) to stop whining and bring them already but Cyoukai says Latori by herself should be enough of a hostage. But the other demon says that the more hostages they have, the more leverage they get. Hell, some may even join their side...like Negurooni. When Cyoukai asks if they can be trusted, the other demon says they don't need to be...just useful.

A vortex appears in the air, the other demon guessing that Negurooni and Ilora are coming back with Pai. Negurooni mentally begs for Yakumo's forgiveness, saying she can't fight Shiva's forces as long as Latori's being held hostage. But she did leave a clue behind explaining the situation...the same one that Yakumo picked up at the end of the last chapter. She tells him (and Uukai) where they are going and begs him to hurry to the Seiichi. Yakumo is of course going but Uukai refuses, considering it suicide. So Yakumo gets on his hands and knees and begs her to watch Kime's and Natsuko's bodies until he gets back. Uukai says she isn't his maid...but she ends the chapter agreeing.

Chapter 438:

Yakumo returns to find Kime and Natsuko's mummified bodies.

Uukai comes in all cheery asking him what he's gonna do. Pai's in trouble so he should be getting a power boost at any minute, right? Yakumo...throws an ashtray out the window.

He wrecks the room in a rage, Uukai begging him to stop. She tells him that his tantrum won't solve anything (because now you want to help?) but he hits her away. When she hits a wall, he calms down enough to sob...he doesn't know what the point of infinite power is if he can't protect the ones he loves.

Uukai hates seeing him like this, saying her enemy Yakumo is a hatefully strong bastard. But then he hugs her, saying he doesn't want her to leave him...while calling her mama.

Uukai eventually hugs him back, telling him to be a man and stop crying. And people need him to save them. Yakumo pulls himself together and Uukai says he has to kiss her as punishment...then she's just kidding.

They begin to look for clues and RouRou (who is also there) ends the chapter by pointing out the communication seed of Negurooni...

Chapter 437:

Kime and Natsuko are mummified.

Pai then watches their spirits float outside the window with everyone else's, but then she runs out to see Yakumo...only to find Negurooni. Who does this to her:

The chapter ends with Negurooni being revealed to be working with that L-name demon, who tells her to bring her back to the factory...

Chapter 436:

Shut up and look at this picture of Kime and Yakumo.

So Tokyo's fucked and everybody is being mummified. Pai is watching the news and is worried but Kime tells her to believe in Yakumo. He can't not help people and Pai says that's because he's a kind person. But Kime says that's not entirely true...she's known him since he was four and met him when he was crying outside an apartment. Yakumo's mother was a student of his father's and still young (Creep) and because his dad kept leaving out, she left her own son behind too. And this wasn't new behavior because when she lost her temper, she would hit him causing Yakumo to blame himself. He was being wired to believe that everything that happened to him was because he was a bad kid. Kime took him in and raised him as her own for ten days until his dad came back to pick him up. Yakumo acted happy...but it was all a lie. He was terrified of being abandoned. He felt that if he didn't treat people nice, they would leave him. When he's alone, he starts to lose it. So Kime begs Pai to look after him, saying her innocent, clueless personality is perfect for him. Natsuko, walking in, agrees with Kime, both asking Pai to look after their idiot.

Pai asks Kime why she's talking like she's gonna die. Kime points to the TV...and she and Natsuko are mummified.

Chapter 435:

Yakumo wants to stop it but Uukai dares him to stop humans from using any technology at all, even in the late 80s-early 90s. And yeah, everyone's mummifying and dying and the emergency services are falling apart. Yakumo manages to save the detective and explain that to stop the virus, they have to stop using electric communications. But since that's incredibly difficult, the detective suggests using a vaccine. Uukai calls him stupid...but Yakumo says it might work.

But the chapter ends with Yakumo hearing Pai call for help, him abandoning everyone to go and get her.
