I saw some snippet of a callout post for an autistic trans woman where they list social faux pas she committed, and I think we allistic people should all feel 100x more ashamed of not telling people in the moment how we feel about what they're doing. I think its extremely evil and cruel to not only lie to an autistic person and blame them for it but also to feel justified shaming them for your behavior. And it's currently the social norm to do that

I don't think it's oppressive that people complain about bi women having straight boyfriends at pride, but it is definitely annoying. "I don't feel safe because he's straight" okay and I don't feel safe that your white lesbian girlfriend is consistently racist 👀 we gone get rid of her too 👀 or do we only care about the complaints and the support needs of a few 👀 like if we gone talk people making other people in the LGBTQ community feel unsafe then let's get to brass tacks

Just saw a woman talking about contracting AIDS at age 20 in 1990 due to her husband knowingly passing on the virus and the comments were repellently homophobic. Saying bullshit like “This is why DL men are so dangerous.” she hadn’t liked any of those comments and she had clarified that he went on to infect another woman later. She was trying to educate people on her experience as a heterosexual woman with an AIDS diagnosis and the comments still found a way to blame gay people and imply it is the fault of homosexuality. HIV transmission rates are now higher in the heterosexual population than the homosexual population due to education and protection. She thought she was safe because he was her husband but these women think they’re safe because they don’t date ‘DL men’. This is why education on the AIDS crisis, HIV transmission methods and gay history is so important. The stigma has never gone away and it is still detrimental to EVERYONE’S health.

The funniest part of the “ummmm actually ☝️🤓 birth control can be REALLY bad for you” responses on my ‘hey I think the current health fad demonization of hormonal birth control is right wing propaganda’ post is that I can’t take hormonal birth control. It reacts badly with my body’s chemistry. But I am wise enough to understand that it is a lifesaving medication for many people and encouraging people to get off birth control if it is working for them with no adverse reactions is bad. Birth control is bad for me and it can have terrible side effects but the potential of pregnancy and periods are worse for many people.

this might sound stupid but I can’t help but believe that the new wave of “birth control is actually horrible for your body, you need to get off it immediately” misinformation from influencers and the ‘natural cycle tracking’ apps suddenly being advertised is a sneaky underhanded way of causing more unplanned pregnancies that people now cannot abort. now is possibly the worst time ever to turn towards ‘natural family planning’

as a person who uses either public bathroom on a toss of a coin i gottta say its kind of ridicuous that people are so attached to them being seperate facilities. youre not usually gonna see anyones dick at the urinal and youre not usually gonna be able to spy on any women. the stalls are the same except one has a little tampon bin. we would lose nothing if all bathrooms were unisex and i'll die on that hill.

an important thing to remember about colonialism is that places that were colonized were not perfect utopia but often full of their own horrors and abuses
the other important thing to remember about colonialism that the above does not justify colonialism

i really do believe that the answer to a lot of people's self hatred is not to try and reassure them that they are wonderful and okay and enough, but instead to remind them theyre a completely unremarkable regular ass person who is not the center of the universe or especially important so why would they expect themselves to be some superhuman savior. like there really is a kernel of out of control self importance at the heart of thinking youre an evil lazy piece of shit. because why would you expect you be anything but just like some guy. if you wouldnt expect the guy who works at the vape shop or your mailman or whatever to be able to do something then why would you expect yourself to? youre just some random ass person. its fine

discussion about right wing radicalisation focuses near-exclusively on men becoming white nationalists but i wonder how it might manifest elsewhere. like, imagine a heavily online subculture of mostly women and they're dedicated to rooting out degeneracy, maintaining a rigid social order, refusing to acknowledge scientific consensus, being violently paranoid of a dehumanised other, adhering to exclusively eurocentric standards of beauty and politically dedicated to exterminating a minority group (possibly one that was already historically targeted for genocide). that'd be fuckin crazy lol

note from OP: I’ve noticed a trend in the trans community (mostly in non-binary and other adjacent groups but I’ve seen it elsewhere) that trans people seem to like more “undesirable” animals, and I want to know if it’s just my algorithm or what

It seems a lot of people understand oppression as "being mean to someone about a trait they have" rather than, like, structures of power imbalance between different groups. And this is the root of a lot of extremely stupid discourse

It is vital for kids shows to have the horrors in them. The children YEARN for the horrors. They CRAVE the horrors. I craved the horrors and so will the next generation. And so will the next. Years and years and years of craving the horrors. Which is why you gotta put scaries into the kids stories.
