In her interview about episode 4, Jac mentioned that she only wanted to give us a little fruity content at a time so that she could build tension between Rio and Agatha.

Well, we were hella fed agathario content in episode 4, which is why I think tonight’s episode was more plot-focused. Hence my belief that episode 6 will be heavily focused on our wives again. This also lines up with episodes 6 & 8 needing intimacy coordinators. Meaning…episode 7 is a cool down one??

I am wildly drawn to this moment.

We see this powerful woman who has been bound for three years, stripped of all real autonomy. She has finally torn through all these layers of false identities and projections given by those around her. And she has always been branded by the interpretations of others, so she’s learned to just accept that there must be something wrong with her.

In this moment, we see her melt into this bliss of escape and freedom. She can finally breathe. She takes a moment to just exist for herself and the beauty around her. Then we see this switch where her next most imminent thought is to find the woman who holds her heart. She witnesses this beauty and her instinct is to enjoy it with the one person she cares so deeply for. Two lovers looking up at the same moon.

Then we see Rio through her eyes. Her gaze is delicate, gentle, passionate, and warm. She is literally facing death and sees comfort and home. This incredibly sensual and soft moment is interrupted by Agatha’s sudden awareness of her own thoughts. You can see her face change as she realizes that she shouldn’t be feeling that way.

Whether from the betrayal and pain Rio has caused her in the past or the feeling that she is undeserving of love (due to the trauma etched into her heart by her mother), we see her very real and raw pain rest on her face. She just yearns so badly to be loved. 🌙🖤 #heartbreak
