Why I Love The Song "Viva La Vida" By Coldplay
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Viva La Vida" by coldplay is the fourth album of the British Rock Band Coldplay which released on 12 June 2008 on the Parlophone label. Although Viva La Vida is the band's highest grossing album, Coldplay’s song “Viva La Vida” is an interpretation of king Louis’s lost last speech before his death. The song is written through King Louis point of view, as he apologizes to his people, accepting his fate.
The album cover art features the 1830 historical painting known as “Liberty Leading the People”. The art piece was painted by French artist Eugène Delacroix, depicting French revolutionaries marching and waving the French flag, led by the human manifestation of Lady Liberty. The painting serves to portray the revolutionaries in a heroic light, complementing the Album’s themes of life, death, war, and change.
“I used to rule the world Seas would rise when I gave the word Now in the morning, I sleep alone” — King Louis led one of the world’s most powerful countries, he commanded hundreds of ships with his simply words. However, now he was reduced to sleeping alone in a jail cell.
“Listen as the crowd would sing: “Now the old king is dead! Long live the king!” — King Louis XVI succeeded the throne after his grandfather had passed. Following the death of the beloved king, Louis XV, Louis XVI held much potential in his people’s eyes. Many celebrated his rise to kingship.
“Shattered windows and the sound of drums People couldn’t believe what I’d become.” — Although his people saw much potential in the new king, they were left disappointed. His early reign was that of reform and success, however, as time grew and promises were left unfulfilled, the French masses demanded a new order.
“Revolutionaries wait for my head on a silver plate. Just a puppet on a lonely string. Oh who would ever want to be king?” — Louis recognizes that revolution was now in full swing and that no amount of reform can help him now. Although Louis accepted his Kingship in eagerness, he looks back at his powers as a burden. He admits that the power he thought he wanted was not the same when he held it.
Unlike Delacroix’s “Liberty Leads the People”, which shows the revolutionaries as heros. The songs takes a complete 180 by showing sympathy for the fallen king. The song is a admittance of guilt by the king. This regret humanizes the King, showing understanding that he had ultimately failed his people.
Once a revolutionary himself, the first part of his reign was that of enlightenment reform, however, along his kingship he had lost sight of his values. Retreating to the comforts of his palace rather than facing his problems. The songs shows the regret of a man who once promised so much more but delivered none, accepting his fate as he knows it is well deserved.
This contrast is a deliberate choice to reinforce the album’s theme of change. With the revolutionaires fierce march and the King’s introspective review, the listener is not put onto a single side. Instead, it allows the listener to process both perspectives, allowing a completely new view of the revolution.
So people tell me what to do you feel about this song and the fallen king was he truly a villain or misunderstood man in a terrible time?

My top 5 Video game soundtracks
Tumblr media
As a gamer i very often end up vibing to soundtracks present in video games whether it is the main menu , durimg some chase scene or some action scene. There truly are some one of a kind soundtracks of video games and i will tell you my top 5
5 - The batman arkham series
Tumblr media
The batman arkham series does have some of my favorite soundtracks all credited to Nick Arundel. Some my favorites include "in the batcave" , " batman arkham city main theme" and "Inner demon" .
4 - cod black ops 1
Tumblr media
This game holds a special place in my heart for two reasons, this was the game that got me into the whole cod franchise and second reason being the song in this game by the band called the rolling stones, it features a song called " Sympathy for the devil" this song was perfect for the boat section of the game in my opinion
3 - infamous 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My very first console game ever on the play station 3 the game featured 2 of my favorite soundtracks called " Cole MacGrath" (who is also the main protagonist of the first two games) created by Jim Dooly and "Get Bertrand" created by JD Mayer.
2 - doom eternal
Tumblr media
i think we all know what song im going to say, if u dont well lets just youve been missing out. the song is called " Rip and Tear", created by Mic Gordon. there are two thing im going to say about this song. First off is that you sir ( Mick Gordon) have created a masterpiece secondly did you know this song features a freaking metal choir tell me something thats more cooler.
1 - uncharted : Drake's Fortune
Tumblr media
This song again needs no introduction to those who have played the games but if you havent first of what have you been doing with your life, if you have a playstation i advise you to spend money and play all 4 games. the song is called " Nates Theme" created by Greg Edmonson and this song has one of the best main menu songs that u can think of, i think this was the only song i ever waited to finish and only then hit play.

Underrated Gems-Part 4
Tumblr media
Welcome to part 4 of Underrated gems where we explore games that deserve a chance in the spotlight and today's game is one that came out recently and was hyped up quite a bit but due to technical glitches and bugs (which became so infamous that they became memes) it recieved a lot of backlash but was saved due to an anime. Yes im talking about Cyberpunk 2077
Tumblr media
for those that dont know the bugs or the meme sound they may click the below links
youtube
youtube
I personally really liked the game even with the game breaking bugs, i remember there was a bug where i hit a car and i went flying across the map but somehow reached my mission point and the best part i was in a time limit lol
Honestly if i had to describe the story in a few words i would say imagine futuristic gta v in first person mod only. overall i would actually give this game a solid 7/10
i actually enjoyed myself especially since i took a short break from warzone.
please do give me your thoughts below

Underrated Gems - Part 3
Tumblr media
Today is going to be a special blog but before i begin how many of you love survival games? I actually find them quite satisfying so today im going to talk about two of them. Those are Dayz and The Metro series.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I have always been a fan of these two games but i have to thank two main youtubers for this and that would be @Theradbrad and @Frankieonepc without these two i would never have known such master pieces.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For those of you that dont know, The Metro series is more of a action looter shooter , a great example would be the fallout or the last of us series ( The games NOT the show) where we need to loot to get materials to craft ammo or health and there is also an overall story to the game whereas Dayz is your traditional survival game like 7 Days to die or Ark Survival evolved where we need to loot , get weapons , etc and there isnt really a story to the game. Another Key difference is that Dayz is actually a mod to the Arma series.
For me Personally i more of a fan to Dayz than Metro ( lets the hate begin) because its a true survival game as compared to Metro but lemme know your thoughts

Underrated Gems- Part 2
Tumblr media
In todays Blog im going to talk about one of my favorite Superhero game series . No its not the Amazing Spiderman Series ( I actually dont like spiderman) its a trilogy called infamous
Tumblr media
This game took a fresh look at the whole superhero genre with a simple concept that was what if one day you woke up and you had superpowers. The game followed a Good Karma / Bad karma playstyle where the choices of the player influenced the overall story. I will not be spoiling the stories of the three games thats why i highly recommend watching either a playthrough or buying a copy of the game. Unfortunately the game was a Sony exclusive so RIP to all my fellow xbox friends.
I distinctly remember that i must have been around 5 or 6 years old when i had the opportunity of playing the second game at my friend's house back when i didnt even know what a console even was. I was in love with game and maybe thats why when i bought my first console i bought infamous as well. I played from the first game onwards and trust me this game was one of the best.

Underrated Gems- Part 1
Tumblr media
For the next few blogs ive decided to create a new series called "Underrated Gems" . This series will focus on video games that in my opinion deserve a certain spotlight. For our first game lets rewind back to the august of 2013 when a certain company called Activision was just sweeping the gaming scene with the golden age of gaming from call of duty modern warfare to Cod Black ops 2. Then One game software ( the same ones responsible for the og modern warfare scene) called "Infinity Ward "decided to create a sort of post apocolyptic Setting for cod and created Call Of Duty Ghosts.
Tumblr media
This blog will not contain any spoiler regarding the main story ofthe game because if any of you guys get a chance i highly encourage you all to play the campaign. Though ill just say one thing if you havent seen the campaign id suggest watching a walkthrough of someone on youtube.
This game revolutionized the cod era as it was the first to bring female soldiers in the game a staple that is still in used in cod even now, it had some of the best DLC like the Michael Myers/ Halloween DLC
It also included one of the most beloved weapon in the game i.e the honey badger and it included one of my favorite cod mode called extraction in short imagine cod zombies if it had a story and instead of zombies we fought aliens.
The main reason this game got soo much hate was due to its multiplayer. Quoting a user "
Honestly this game gets way too much hate. I play it on PS3- so bear in mind it may be different on other versions, but given that you can get it pretty cheap at second hand retailers its a pretty good package. It has one of the best COD Campaigns to date, with a really well-designed dystopia setting, and looks pretty damn good for a 6 year old game. There's a new mode, called extinction, which is not groundbreaking or as masterful as the campaign, but is a fun experience that should keep you occupied for an hour or two before you get bored. The Multiplayer is where the flaws start to show. Now, servers can be hard, but you can still play it split-screen or against bots. The Maps are very large, and have some really cool and good-looking designs (although I would recommend getting the season pass), but they are very large and don't flow as well as you would like, and added to the very fast time to kill, this game favours snipers or more mid-range weapons, and while this is not a bad playing type, it does mean that it is way more constricting and less well-rounded than some of the other games like WaW or MW2. Nevertheless, although the play style is unavoidable, you can still enjoy it and as I said earlier, the maps don't flow that great but have some truly awesome designs, especially in DLC. Overrall Ghosts is a good package with a great campaign and decent other modes, and I would recommend trying it."
I think that says it all about this game.

Happyhills Homicide the movie Idea
Tumblr media
I recently came across a pretty interesting horror game gameplay by a youtuber name 8-BitRyan
Tumblr media
The game was called The HappyHills Homicide created by Copperbolts. The Happyhills Homicide is an indie horror/puzzle game in the style of an 80's slasher movie created by Copperbolts. It was released on December 28, 2020. The game is about a janitor who becomes a serial killer, and a detective investigating the murders. As a Horror Movie enthusiast i adored this games especially the tiny secrets that only true slasher movie fans would recognize.
After watching the gameplay i was wondering if someone was to make this game into a horror movie how would one do it?
i asked a friend of mine this question and he said "Making these as anthologies will be nice" "And at one point all stories tie up together". we decided that the movie would be a whodunnit type slasher taking inspiration from class horror slashers like Halloween and the Friday The 13th movies. we would shoot the movie mostly from the Killers prespective with the occasion switch to the detective.
Before i end this blog i am in no way an expert so please go easy on the criticisms in the comments and im interested in hearing your thoughts and opinions

Opinions
This is going to be a bit of a different blog as compared to my earlier works. This one is going to about something that I've noticed in everyone's behavior pattern. As the topic suggests i am going to talk about opinions. If anyone is unfamiliar with the word an opinion is a thought that u have on something.
In todays world ive realized NOBODY cares about a person's opinion .They believe that their opinion or thought is correct and is the only right option and the other person is wrong.
Many people get opiniated by popular influencers and as a result many dangerous influencers may just influence people the wrong way so that why people like andrew tate or any red pill podcasts are dangerous for the younger generation.I also feel that because of the fear of being judged people don't express themselves and keep their opinions to themselves.
An example of this could be the argument of modern music vs vintage music. Many people of the previous generation ( boomers) believe that modern music has neither meaning nor soul. they believe that songs of their generation had a purpose but now the only real purpose is money. Whereas many people of my generation (Gen z) believe that songs still do carry meanings its just that the technology is different.
This entire blog was my opinion. now im curious about yours

Friday the 13th 2009 reboot
Tumblr media
Growing up I never liked horror movies the whole idea that being terrified is equal to pleasure was a bizarre concept but this changed one faithful day when I gathered enough courage to watch a horror movie with my friend and that movie was called Grudge 3. Since then I've been watching quite a few and I've officially found my favourite series that being the Friday the 13th series.
Tumblr media
The Friday series began as a typical "Who Dunnit" type of slasher movie where we wonder who is the murderer in the movie. This changed in the 3rd movie where we see the murderer.
Tumblr media
Out of the several movies of the series my favorite Recalling. This was basically almost every single part in one. The movie had Jason's ( the main villain of the movie) origin. Some of his original kills etc. This movie also had a more terrifying version of Jason as he was a human being as compared to an undead demon in the other movies. he was an agile hunter who knew his home i.e. Camp Crystal Lake like the back of his hand. he created trap doors and tunnels so that he could spring out of anywhere. this caused great panic among the audience as we kept guessing where he would be.

My favourite moments from the Batman Arkham Games
From my earlier blog, you must have noticed my love for the Batman Arkham games so to continue this trend ill present my favorite moments from the Batman Arkham games that I've played. This is a spoiler warning for those who haven't played the games.
1 - Batman goes to the batcave in batman arkham asylum- In the very first batman arkham game, we come across Dr Penelope young whose research is very dear to the joker as it helps him create a drug called TITAN which was a derivative of the drug that Bane uses called Venom. This drug helps him create his army of monsters. Batman comes across the research and travels to "Dead Mans Point" which was a popular Suicide point in the asylum. Batman glides down from that point and enters a hole which turns out to be the new batcave in the asylum.
youtube
2 The Scarecrow Boss Fights - One of the most terrifying boss fights in the asylum was the Scarecrow Boss fight in my opinion. His intro terrified me as a child. The boss fight consisted of a Platformer type obstacle course the goal being to reach the bat-light.
youtube
3 Climbing the Wonder Tower - To stop Hugo Strange from destroying Arkham City, Batman must climb the Wonder Tower. This scene included not only every form of traversal from Batman but also different ways of fighting Hugo Strange's Private army.

How Rocksteady Studios Ruined the Batman Arkham Series with Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
Tumblr media
Introduced on May 30 1939 Batman has been surrounded by many fans from all over the world (Including me). Thus it’s of no surprise that there have been multiple games ( 51 to be exact) on him but none have been as popular as the Batman Arkham series created by Rocksteady. In 2009 they created they're first Batman game called “Batman: Arkham Asylum”. The game Featured Kevin Conroy as the voice of Batman and Mark Hamil as the voice of Joker many may recognise them as the voices of Batman and Joker in the Batman animated series as well as some Justice League movies and shows. This game redefined the combat system of many video games of that time and has been an inspiration to many others , the most popular being Insomniac's “Amazing Spider-Man” series which features similar gameplay mechanics. No wonder this game won Game Of The Year.
Tumblr media
The popularity of the first Batman game gave the studio enough confidence to create their second game roughly 2 years later in 2011 called “Batman: Arkham City” This time the game took a different approach. Instead of the linear playthrough of the first game the studio decided to make this game open-world. This change was one of the best changes the studio made as this game has been known to many as “one of the greatest Batman games ever”. Spoiler alert to anyone who hasn’t played the game The Joker dies in this game.
Tumblr media
Warner Brothers which is the parent company of DC Entertainment wanting to capitalize on the success of the Batman Arkham series created another game called “Batman: Arkham Origins” This game was meant to act as the beginning point of the Arkham series as this series shows a young batman Just beginning his vigilante career of being the guardian of Gotham city. This time it featured Troy Baker as the voice of Joker and Roger Craig Smith as the voice of young Batman. This game featured one of the best boss fights in the series i.e. against Deathstroke
Tumblr media
To close the Batman Arkham universe Rocksteady decided to create their last and final game ( or so we thought) with “Batman: Arkham Knight” in 2015 this game featured a new combat system i.e. we used the bat mobile. This game was the studio version of the Red Hood story by DC Comics. It again featured Kevin Conroy as the voice of the Batman and Troy Baker as the voice of the Red Hood. In my opinion this was another underrated game if it wasn’t for the technical difficulties the game faced.
Tumblr media
Roughly 5 years later Rocksteady Studios announced another Batman Arkham game called Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League. The game was meant to be released in the year 2022 but got delayed twice due to complaints by fans, The game finally came out in February of this year and in mine and a lot of people’s opinion ruined the series. This was for two reasons i.e. the Voice actor of Batman Kevin Conroy passed away from Intestinal cancer at the age of 66 therefore this was the last performance of the actor and the way the studio went about handling the death of Batman. The other reason was that the studio decided to make this game a live service. Simply, a player could spend real money to buy cosmetics and overpowered weapons from the game store
Tumblr media
The studio could only save themselves by erasing this story, saying that Batman isn't dead, or saying that this game is not part of the Arkham verse. This game does have two popular theories namely the heroes we see dying are clones created either by the Justice League themselves or by Brainiac. and the second is that the game will slowly bring back the dead heroes because of hidden voice recordings found in the game's files. Whatever they do I hope they make Rocksteady make the right choice.
