CRAB CRAB CRAB
This was my first time working with leather because I got a burning desire for a bag shaped like a horseshoe crab. It has two zippered compartments, and an adjustable strap so it can be worn at my side as a cross-body bag or on my back more like a backpack.

my fear this election is everyone continues to let us american brainrot cloud their judgement and the ndp gets eliminated as a party entirely. they are not 'vote-splitters' - despite how they've fucked up this last election they've played a very important part in both forming alliances with the liberals and using their leverage to strong arm the liberals on some topics.
we don't need to emulate the american election system - we need to get rid of first past the post and institute something like ranked voting. but as i type that i know it's too "political" for the majority of voters to understand or care about and instead we'll shift closer and closer to a stupid two-party system every day.

need to take a moment to mention that when the US election happened every single canadian i know was sharing voting resources and information about the candidates and mental health resources etc and we all watched the election or checked the polls and we grieved when trump won and we cried with you and we protested with you and now i’d wager that 80% of americans don’t know that one of the most close and critical elections in canadian history is happening tonight.
millions of canadians are holding their families on their couches tonight both knowing and never being able to predict what could happen if pierre poilievre wins the election and most of you didn’t even know the election was happening at all.
if the conservative party of canada wins tonight, pierre poilievre will get in bed with donald trump and that fucks you guys over too. if you can’t be bothered to show a little empathy for canadian citizens and what is happening to us, you could at least rub two brain cells together a few times to realize that our election affects you too. no government is independent. the united states is not the only country in the world.
an oppressive government is oppressive no matter where it is.

I don't remember if I read this somewhere or had this thought myself but if you're ever facing an optional situation that requires you having to go somewhere and you're thinking "ugh I don't wanna go...I just wanna stay home..." a really useful question to ask yourself is "do I not want to be at the destination or do I just not want to exert the effort to travel there?" because for me at least, most of the time it's the latter...it's really just the hassle of getting there that makes me not want to go...and thinking about it, like that, I know I will be sad to miss out on whatever it is if I don't go. because I have been, in the past. doesn't matter if it's a small thing or a big thing, either. "I don't want to walk to the store but I really do want those groceries." "I don't want to contend with rush hour traffic but I do want to meet with my coworkers." "I'm scared to travel by myself but I do want to go on that vacation." don't let your disdain for the commute make you miss out on something that you actually would genuinely enjoy doing. IT'LL BE WORTH IT.
