       A small bite was taken from their cake before they pushed it aside and resumed reading their latest purchase. It wasn’t until their friend mentioned the sweet, that they even remembered having it in the first place. If it had been anyone else, Kaoru would have teased and made them work for the treat but... Since it was Hani, the younger student happily slid the plate closer to him. 

       “ Here you go, Hani-senpai. ” It wasn’t a loss for them since they weren’t big on sweet things anyways. “ If you want another slice, you should ask for Hikaru’s as well. I’m pretty sure he’ll toss his. ”

       “ Ha, ha, ha. You’re taller than me. That’s so funny. So original. ” Kaoru yawned and rubbed their eyes, not caring to give Oda any ammo for the day. After their last huge fight, they were trying to contain their anger. The fact that things got somewhat physical was concerning. That wasn’t them. “ I’m exhausted. ” And not because of his presence ( even though he was making matters worse ). It seemed that the lack of sleep was finally catching up to the insomniac.

"Hey, Kaoru," Daniel put his hand into his jacket pocket. "You remember that thing you were telling me about, ah, a couple weeks ago I think it was? That one event you said was sold out that you really wanted to go to. Well.." Pulling his hand out, he held out two tickets to said event, holding one out to them. "It just so happens that I acquired tickets. Wanna come along?"

       When their name was called, Kaoru excused themself and spun around so they could face the other. Once they spotted Daniel, they said a quick goodbye to their peer and walked over to him. Even though their relationship had improved, they still kind of expected their company to throw an insult their way and waste their time. So, when he mentioned the concert that they brought up a while back, Kaoru’s eyes went a little wide. “ ...Wow, you remembered? ” Why was it so surprising that he remembered? That he listened to them and kept that in mind? And that he somehow acquired tickets for them?

       Were those butterflies in their stomach?

       “ Daniel, this is amazing! Thank you! I’d love to join you! ” They held onto the ticket but before completely accepting it, they pulled Daniel down and kissed his cheek. Once they had the gift in their hands, they stared down at it for a few seconds and then moved to take the other’s hand, “ Hey. Since you’re here, we should do something together. Wanna grab some lunch? My treat. ”

       “ You’ve already used that insult in the past, dumbass. ” Kaoru followed his phone with their eyes and moved their hands to the pockets of their skirt. It wasn’t a scary threat. Would Momo kill them? Maybe. But, they’d accept their fate. “ Go ahead and tell her. I love her but she should be punished for lying to you. ”

Alright so you didn't send this in, but I wanted to give you love because YOU always give love to everyone and I think you deserve it. Peter, I don't know what to say about you except you are just an amazing individual. You have a huge heart and you always see the best in someone. You are so positive even though I know you might have had a crappy day, you rarely show it and I admire that about you. You are so important to me and I am soooo happy that we have rekindled our friendship recently because I missed you A LOT. You are a beautiful person inside and out and your creativity and beautiful mind is just inspirational to me. You are so so talented and I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to write and talk with you. I adore you Peter and I wanted to make sure you got some love because you always think of everyone else but yourself <3

And- ” The second their best friend pets them, they relax and do their best to calm down. Kaoru does not enjoy being angry especially around someone they care about so much. “ ...Sorry, sorry. I’m okay, I’m fine. Don’t worry about me. ”
