last night i had a dream that the jerma fanbase became really extremely infatuated with the idea of a "dog food tier list" stream, to the point that it started to become a chat meme where people would treat it like a mythical event that was going to happen. There were fan videos where people would edit the green screen clips to make it look like he was eating different kinds of dog food and it began to reach battle axe stream levels of hype despite the fact that jerma never once actually said it was something he was going to do. This all culminated in jerma actually hosting this huge event stream where he swore he was going to eat multiple different brands of dog food, and during the stream he would be wearing a lab coat and goggles "for safety." There was a live dog in the studio who was there to give second opinions, and the main joke of the stream was that every time he'd try to actually eat the dog food, it'd be a fakeout where the dog would do something and he'd scream and drop it, or the stream would cut due to "technical difficulties" and the result was 100,000+ viewers all split between yelling "EAT THE DOG FOOD" and "NO JERMA DON'T EAT IT"

IDW's Sonic the Hedgehog Issue #80 makes reference to an infamous scene from Shadow the Hedgehog (2005) in which Espio witnesses Shadow's unique approach to hacking.

Many assume just from the fact that Gerald Robotnik named his orbital medical research station the "ARK" that he likely followed some denomination of a Christian faith, however there's even more evidence for this:

On multiple occasions Gerald refers to his deal with Black Doom as Faustian, alluding to the German story of Faust, a story based in Christian theology. He also directly regards it as a "sin" which he owes repentance for.

Shadow was ostensibly raised by Gerald alongside Maria, and he himself makes some religious references. While aggressively asserting you'll send someone to hell is a secularized threat and could easily be disregarded, the exact manner and phrasing in which he relates his existence as having spawned from hell is far more directly rooted in Christian theological understandings of evil, but still isn't particularly solid given its nature as a more theatrical expression of the same secularized concept.

However, other dialogue in the game has Shadow directly equate himself to a human understanding on an "Evil One," notably subtitled as a proper noun indicating it to be a genuine name or title.

Though this line isn't present in the Japanese release, where Shadow is instead asking something more along the lines of if he was created with evil intent, the English text seems to be in reference to 1 John 5:18-19, in which a nebulous force of evil (there's some theological debate over the exact metaphor), repeatedly referred to with the title "Evil One," is noted to lead people towards damnation and be used for evil deeds. Essentially the English line is asking the same question as in Japanese, only instead Shadow asks it in a deeply religious manner. This is also another example of Shadow demonstrating a theological belief in "inherent" evil and that he is some manner of vessel for evil due to the nature of his existence, which is known as queer religious trauma.

With all of this in mind, Gerald definitely seems to have followed some manner of Christian theology. Shadow himself may not necessarily follow Christianity, as his reference is both a translation quirk and, even if definitively canon, could simply be him expressing ingrained religious ideologies due to a Christian upbringing. He's moreso partially falling back on the belief that these ideologies are actually true due to Black Doom being really, really analogical to Da Devil, from Da Bible.

I would like to revise my placement of Mecha Sonic Mk. II on this list: he should be placed in his own distinct tier because Sonic would order a cheesy gordita crunch and they'd enjoy it together via their mind linkI forgot that was a plot element in my original ranking. And not even from a distance, he would take the trek from the mainland to Scrapnik Island and let the taco get old and cold as hell all so that Mecha could be physically present and get to examine the delectable and infamous CGC for himself.

He appreciates the gesture massively, and nothing would change that, however the moment Sonic takes a bit Mecha realizes that he does not like the taste of Taco Bell at fucking all. And Sonic is telling him Well dude when it's hot and more fresh it's way better just you see, but then 2 additional Taco Bell trips later Mecha is still like This is bad. So sometimes mid gardening Mecha gets a message like "dude I'm sorry I know you say it tastes like cardboard but I just need another crunchwrap nothing else would hit the same rn" and he has to just sigh and say Sure.
