Lucid Dream Update
my dreams have started getting more and more vivid, which i would say is a good sign. Last night i had a lucid dream (?). my dream was very vivid, but it quickly turned into a nightmare. typically, i become lucid in nightmares because i go into denial and i tell myself that its not really happening; and then i realize that it is not really happening. this happened to me last night but instead of trying to control my dream, i woke myself up. but its still progress tho and im pretty excited.

Lucid Dream Update
i don’t really have much to update other than i have been working on sleeping on my back, and its going really well. i’ve also started to have really vivid dreams and i think there’s a direct correlation.

Lucid Dream Update
so last night i was really tired and i was watching youtube and i decided to close my eyes for a bit and just listen to the video i was watching. i layed on my back to practice laying on my back for lucid dreaming and i ended up falling asleep. i think i have solved my problem of not being able to lay on my back. i think i just need to be really tired and have something else to focus on and i’ll be fine. i also ended up having a lucid dream last night!! it was very vivid and very chaotic and halfway through i went to the bathroom and while i was in there, i realized i was dreaming. i decided to see if i was in control of the dream so i told myself “when i come back from the bathroom, i will see a bunch of roses” and when i came back people were holding huge boquets of roses. i was really happy that i had finally lucid dreamed but my dream was so chaotic and fast paced that i ended up forgetting i was dreaming. but its still progress and im really happy about it!!

Lucid dreaming/reality shifting update
i’ve been having issues lately. part of lucid dreaming (and sometimes reality shifting) i have to lay on my back. BUT i get so uncomfortable on my back that i just can’t handle it so i keep turning over on my side. i don’t really think its affecting my progress all that much but its still really annoying and i think lucid dreaming and reality shifting would be so much easier if i could just lay on my back. so my solution is that this week i am going to work on being able to sleep on my back.

Reality Checks
i think i’ve talked about this before, but i want to go more into depth about the reality checks i do.
1. first i count my fingers/look at my hands to make sure they’re normal. for some reason, a lot of the time in a dream, your hands look weird or you have and extra/are missing a finger
2. then, i look at the ceiling/sky. if you’re in a dream, the sky will look fake or like a painting
3. after that, i look at an analog clock. i heard somewhere that if you’re in a dream, the clock either won’t have numbers on it or the hands will be moving continuously
4. then, i pinch my nose and try to breathe through it. if i am able to breathe through my nose when it’s pinched, then i know i am dreaming
5. finally, i try to put my finger though my palm or my hand through the table. i heard somewhere (idk where) that if you can put your hands/fingers through a solid surface, then you’re dreaming.
this whole process doesn’t take very long. i would say it only takes about 10-15 seconds.

Lucid Dream Update
i don’t have much to update. i’m starting to have very vivid dreams (which isn’t unusual for me) but they are so vivid that they almost feel like reality. i’ve started a dream journal and i’m also doing reality checks every hour. tonight, i’m going to try the wake back to bed method.

Lucid Dream/Reality Shifting Update:
i think i tried to lucid dream last night and i think i came really close but i cant quite remember. it was a bit overshadowed by the fact that i had a really vivid dream last night. i won’t go into details but i had a dream that i shifted to one of my drs and i was really excited. i haven’t had dreams about shifting in a while so im taking this as a sign that im really close!
------ i also need to start doing reality checks and keeping a dream journal; so im gonna work on that this week as well

Lucid Dreaming Update
so recently i’ve been trying the Wake Back to Bed Method (if you don’t know what that is i have a separate post about it!) to lucid dream. i’ve been setting my alarm for 2 am but my problem is that i am so deep in sleep that i just don’t hear it or i turn it off in my sleep. my solution for this is that i get a louder alarm.
-------
also, last night i woke up at around 2-3 am completely on my own, and i thought before going back to sleep that i should try to lucid dream. i didn’t lucid dream but i ended up having a very long, detailed, and extremely vivid dream. it felt almost like reality, so i am taking that as a sign that i came close to lucid dreaming.

Wake Initiated Lucid Dream (WILD) Technique
i’ve heard that this is one of the hardest ones to do, and it helps if you master the other techniques first.
WILD is where you enter a dream straight from the waking world. You’re brain stays awake while your body sleeps.
What you do is lay down and wait for a hypnagogic hallucination to happen.
---note--- you know how sometimes when you’re on the verge of falling asleep you start to hear things going on before you enter a dream? it’s that.
this is the best i can describe this next part, so i’m sorry if it doesn’t make any sense.
acknowledge that hallucination, but not so much so that it goes away (thats the hard part). Then, follow the hallucination into a full dream. It’s kind of hard to do but i’ve done it before and the best i can describe it is that you “push” yourself into the dream (if that makes sense). Then, you’re in a lucid dream.

Mnemonic Induction of Lucid Dreams (MILD) Technique
this lucid dream technique is also very simple.
all you have to do is:
as you begin to fall asleep, think of a dream you had recently and think of something apart of that dream that made you realize it was a dream. Essentially, think of a dream sign.
--note-- a dream sign is something that was strange from  your past dreams.
as you fall asleep, think about returning to this dream, and recognize that the dreamsign only occurs when you’re dreaming.
as you’re about to fall asleep, tell yourself that you want to remember you are dreaming. say it over and over again in you’re head until you fall asleep.

The Wake Back to Bed Lucid Dreaming Technique Technique (WBTB)
This Technique is fairly simple.
Set an alarm for 5 hours after you go to bed.
Go to sleep normally
When you’re alarm goes off, do something quiet like reading for about 30 minutes, then go back to sleep.
You should fall back into a dream, but your brain is more awake, so it increases the chance of a lucid dream.
--What this does is wakes you up during the REM sleep cycle, which is when most dreams occur. By waking yourself up during that, you make it more easier on yourself to lucid dream.---
This is one of the simplest lucid dreaming techniques in my opinion, and it is the first one i am starting with.

Reality Checks
Let’s start with the basics: what are reality checks?
Reality checks are something you do throughout the day that help you identify if you’re dreaming or not.
examples:
-these are the ones i use-
1. Counting your fingers
if you look at your hands, and realize they look weird, or you’re missing a finger or you have an extra finger, then you’re dreaming
2.Looking at the sky
if you look at the sky in a dream, it will look painted or fake.
3. Read a clock
you’re brain can’t read things for some reason while you’re in a dream, so if you can’t read or the clock looks weird, you’re in a dream
4. Try to put your fingers through the palm of your other hand-
if they go through, you’ve either got a serious problem or you’re in a dream
5. Hold your nose and try to breathe out of it
if you breath out of your nose, even if you’re holding it closed, then you’re dreaming
The point of doing reality checks throughout the day is that you develop the habit, and will start to do them in your dreams. Then, you realized you’re dreaming; leading to a lucid dream.
-----These reality checks take a few seconds each, so you can stop what you’re doing periodically throughout the day for a few seconds------

Dream Journal
In this post, i will be exploring how keeping a dream journal will help with lucid dreaming.
----
i did some research and as far as i know, keeping a dream journal helps you remember your dreams better, develop more vivid dreams, and to help identify a “dreamsign.”
-note-
a dream sign is essentially something that helps you differentiate a dream from reality. its anything that defies our reality. an example of this could be you were flying, or you were in your house but it wasn’t your house, or whatever helps you identify a dream as a dream.
All of these skills developed can help one make lucid dreaming easier. You begin to notice dreamsigns as you’re dreaming, and that helps you lucid dream.

Lucid Dreaming Update #1
6/27/21
as many of you know, i am going to take a break from shifting for about a month so i can master lucid dreaming so i can shift through the lucid dream method.
my plan to master lucid dreaming-
i’ve been doing some research, and i am going to try to master multiple/all of the known/popular Lucid dreaming methods, starting with the easiest ones, and working my way up to the hardest ones.
--I’ll go more in depth about lucid dreaming methods in a separate post--
Starting with the wake back to bed method (WBTB). I’ll give myself a week or two to master this one, since it is one of the easiest ones.
Then, moving on to the MILD technique, which is about the same level difficulty as the WBTB technique. I’ll give myself about a week or 2 to master this one as well.
Then, the WILD technique, which is one of the hardest techniques (from what i’ve heard). I will use the rest of the month to master this one.
After i’ve mastered all of these techniques and i learn to lucid dream whenever i want, then i will begin using the lucid dream method for reality shifting.
I’m also going to keep a dream journal and to do reality checks, as they are known to help make lucid dreaming easier

Reality Shifting Update
i haven’t attempted to shift for a while. however, today i was on amino and i read something about “the void state.” essentially, the void state is when you’re trying to shift but you just feel like you’re in the void. The best way I can describe it is that it feels like you’ve fallen into the void in minecraft. I’ve been to this void before I ever even knew what it was called, so I was intrigued to learn more about it. It’s not dangerous, and according to the amino post, it is super easy to manifest while you’re in the void state. So this morning I went to the void state and i manifested that i reality shifted before i went back to school in the fall. i will probably try to reality shift sometime this week. wish me luck!
