Although it was not an easy task to do, the clear goals and objectives gave the campaign a solid structure. This campaign talks about the goals and objectives and the means of achieving them step by step. As every planning may have a backlash keeping that in mind, a well-designed crisis management is also discussed below. It has all the promotional ideas alongside with the evaluation of the effectiveness of the campaign. The end results will be analyzed later and will be improvised for further future campaigns.

Through our TVC we tried to change an existing norm and uncover the fact that for building a better career, skin tone does not matter. If someone is not worthy enough to be successful, s/he will not be successful no matter how far they are. Moreover, the Skin tone can not be changed with the help of some fairness cream. These big companies have done well-structured research and this is how they are scamming the people. They have made people believe that the skin tone of an individual has a significant impact on career building goals. With our TVC we planned to break such norms and provide confidence to someone who despite being meritorious lacks the confidence and lags behind because of their skin tone. People with such an inferiority complex lack confidence about the social acceptance of themselves. Our TVC portrayed that such fears can be overcome with just a little bit of confidence.
Video Link: https://youtu.be/Ad8SnHoMH0I
As the impact of discrimination due to skin color is no longer limited to females and not unknown to us, we tried to put a spot light on how a male can also be pressurized by the society by the same issue. We tried to focus on how we trust the scam done by different companies who sell fairness products, just to get social acceptance and be less judged. We tried to make our men believe that if they are worth the success they don’t have to care about their skin tone. They can feel confident in their own skin and not depend on fairness products.

Motivated Reasoning
I prepared a short speech on Motivated Reasoning for my course purpose. The topic of my speech was nothing very unique or uncommon but I still wanted to talk about it and share my opinions about it with my audience. I tried to keep my speech very simple and precise so that the audience could easily understand the message.

Stop Spreading Rumors
As instructed by our faculty we were told to make a Public Service Announcement (PSA) about anything related to the ongoing pandemic in mind. As it was our final project we were told to make a storyboard, prepare and shoot the video, edit them and make a complete video. The duration of the video was supposed to be 1 to 2 min. As the project started during the early days of the pandemic, we had to maintain the safety measures strictly. Although it was supposed to be a group project, keeping the safety measures in mind we had to do it individually from our home.
Video link: https://youtu.be/oQObul2Tb74
Concept:
As we were told to make a PSA about any issue related to the Covid-19 pandemic, I chose to work on the rumors that were emerging in the society during the early days of the pandemic. I was inspired by a real life incident. The concept was that, someone shares a rumor that if men of the family perform the public proclamation five times a day from their rooftop then that family won’t be affected by COVID-19. That person was sharing this rumor with a neighbor and that neighbor also believed it. She told her husband to do the same so that they can be safe from the deadly virus. Later, their daughter opposed the idea and told them not to pay heed to such rumors.
Although the whole concept might sound funny or stupid to some people, I actually witnessed my neighbor to practice this, just because one of their pious relative had told them to do so. Later, I shared the idea with my faculty and once he approved it, I started working on the video.

Awareness to reduce child obesity: A case study on the Dhanmondi English medium school children between 8-18 years old
1. Introduction
Growing fast as a developing country, we have witnessed various problems regarding the health issues among the population but, the recent rampant of childhood obesity has raised concern because of the possible clinical and public health consequences, especially among the urban society.
Children are supposed to be physically and mentally fit, but now the scenario is different. They are considered to be ‘just healthy’ despite being obese. As a result the number of obese children are raising alarmingly in the urban area, leaving the future of our nation at risk.
It is really surprising to know the fact that obesity is still not considered as a concerning issue among the urban society although it has many serious consequences on the child’s health.
If we look around us we will see many obese children with different health problems. Most of their parents either don’t consider it as a problem or don’t know what exactly to do about this problem. For this reason we thought this would be an important issue to spread awareness.
To understand the situation and to find specific reasons for the problem better, we need to take a closer look at a smaller area. Based on our study, the rate of child obesity has increased dramatically among the children of the English Medium schools in Dhanmondi area, in the past few years (https://www.thedailystar.net/health/obesity-increasing-in-bangladesh-younger-generation-1637107 ) .
Nowadays obesity is not only a health disorder but also a social norm. Because obesity is considered to be a symbol of being healthy and wealthy. Many parents find it as an outcome of pampering their child. For this reason we, through our campaign, will try to educate the parents or guardians about the unimaginable consequences of child obesity and will try to motivate the children to eat healthy and exercise to stay fit.

Captive
Video Link: https://youtu.be/9_RMWuv5he8
Concept:
This video art was a visual representation of a girl's emotion and how much suffocated and trapped a girl can feel while being in an abusive relationship. Especially, when she is going through mental abuse. Because when we are going through a mental torture, it often gets really difficult to explain our situation to others. It seems like we are captives and we can’t escape our life. At that time seeking help also seems impossible, because we become afraid of being judged. So, what we do is, we give up and endure whatever is bothering us. I tried to show my audience all these emotions through this video art.

Chained in Agony
Picture Description: This is the photo of a mask that we had to create for one of our course called ‘Mass communication’. This mask was exhibited at the Shilpakala Academy (Dhaka) as an installation art. Although our mask was simple, it was the perfect visual representation of the theme, ‘the bystander effect’. It showed a common practice of our society, the practice of not helping someone rather watching them, when they are in need. It shows how a person who is being oppressed by another member of the society, is just being watched by other members of the society. These people, who just tend to watch others in trouble are known as the bystanders.

The Evils of Dowry System
Abstract:
The purpose of this paper is to highlight the extent of the Dowry system. It will explore the various causes and consequences of the Dowry system. The origin of the dowry system is not distinctly known, though it was followed from ancient times and is still followed by various regions such as India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Srilanka and many more. Each has their distinct rules, concepts, rituals varying from one another such as the dowry system India is derived from the ancient Hindu customs of “Kanyadaan”. In “Kanyadaan” the father of the bride offers the father of the groom gold, money, property, and so on in exchange for the groom taking full responsibility of the bride. Nowadays people believe in love marriages which indulge in mutuality and eventually lead to a marriage without dowry, but what about the people who are still followers of their past and tend to bring it forward from generations to generations? It is still found that arranged and sometimes even love marriages have to deal with the evils of dowry in a mutual manner. Some families do it just to show off their wealth and some are bound to impress the family of the groom or because they demand in exchange for the bride's well-being in the future. Even now the rich people of these communities celebrate their daughter’s marriages for the surprise and envy of their neighbors or localities. This research therefore, takes into account how it affects the families of the brides who are crossing their limits to make it enough for the groom and his family; how unnecessary things are proceeding to be given in exchange of the bride. It is villainous and revolting as a bride is not a possession or a toy to be handed to someone in exchange of something else.

Say No To Racism

Description: We had to make a poster to represent ‘The Bystander Effect’. Through our poster we tried to portray a different aspect of the bystander effect which is often overlooked by many of us. Making this poster was a bit challenging as we had to connect our topic with the theme. Therefore, we kept the poster simple and to the point. The message that we wanted to share was also written in the poster so that the audience had no trouble while interconnecting the two issues.

My Glam-up Diary
Here’s another getting ready photo diary that I’m sharing with you guys today. Here I’m going to do a ‘Day time glam’ make-up look and then I’ll show you how to transform it into a ‘Night time glam’ look. Recently, my getting ready scenario is a well-lit room with my favorite music playing in the background. I feel music really helps me to focus on my make-up and not get confused about my look. With clothes I’m really quick.I usually have an idea in my head so I never take more time to get dressed. My go-to make-up look is a cat-eye and defined lip look. But some time I go bold and do a much louder make-up. It mostly depends on my outfit. For a sophisticated make-up look,it is important not to overdo it. It’s all about maintaining a balance. So for that ,sometimes I go eye-heavy or keep the eye clean and go lip-heavy. So, without further ado let’s get started! The products that you will need are mentioned below and as you know ,you can use any brand that suits you the best. All you need is : A moisturizer or serum Sunscreen ( only for the day ) Primer ( for both face and eye ) Concealer ( one or two shade lighter then your skin shade) Color corrector Cream contour Foundation ( that matches your natural skin tone ) Powder Bronzer Blush Highlighter Eye shadow Palette Eye pencil ( nude/white) Eye liner (optional) Mascara Eye lash curler Brow pencil/ powder/ gel Lip sticks Setting spray Brushes and a beauty sponge.
Before starting my make-up look , I make sure that my face is clean and well moisturized. Then I put primer on top. Next , I put an eye primer and set it with powder to avoid creasing and to make sure my eye shadow stays in place .
Its better to finish the eye make-up before starting the base make-up. In that way it’s easy to clean the excess eye shadow that falls on the face.
Also, it can be difficult for some people to get a perfect winged liner on the first go. So, this might help them out.
Staring with the brows, I like to fill in the sparse area of my brows with a brow pencil and a brow definer brush then I set my brows with a brow gel.
For a ‘day time’ make-up look you can play with bright colors or can keep it simple. Personally, I like to keep it simple. At first,I pick a transitional shade for my crease and blend it with an eye shadow brush. Then, apply a nice bright neutral shade or any other bright color all over the eyelid and blend it again. Next, I take a darker shade and apply on the outer corner of my eyes then blend it well.It gives my eyes more dimension.I take a shimmery shade and apply it on the inner corner of my eyes and on my brow bones with a small brush.I use a nude eye pencil for my waterline. In this way my eyes look more awake.
I don’t always put an eyeliner for a glam look, it depends on the type of look that I want. I like to keep the lashes for the end.
It’s the perfect time to play with colors while doing your eye make-up. Choose any color which compliments your outfit or try something totally crazy.Keep in mind that there is no rule when it comes to make-up.
Moving on to the base make-up. Heavy or light base, it’s totally up to you. I like to keep it in between.I use a little bit of color corrector under my eyes to hide the dark circles. You can use a color corrector for covering any discoloration on the face.
Then I use a foundation which matches my natural skin tone. I apply the foundation with a foundation brush using downwards motion. In that way my facial hair gets flat which gives me more smoother and natural finish.
Now comes the concealer, I use a concealer which is one or two shade lighter then me. I apply it underneath the eye in a ‘V’ shape, down the bridge of my nose starting from the center of my forehead ( between the eye brows ). Before blending it in ,I apply a cream contour on the parameters of my face. That is , underneath my cheekbones, across my hair line ,on the sides of my nose and on the jaw line. I blend it one at a time with a damp beauty sponge. Then I go all over again with that beauty blender so that there are no harsh lines on the face and they all blend in naturally.
After that I set my face using powder baking , under the eyes and on the T-zone. Giving it a 2 minute time , I dust the powder off using a fluffy brush.
Its time to bring back some color on my face. I use an angled brush to apply the bronzer powder over the places where I cream contoured , it gives my face some dimension and a sun kissed tone. This also makes my round face look a little more sculpted. After that I use a subtle blush on the apples of my cheek.
Now the best part of the make-up , highlighter. In my previous blog I already said how much I love highlighter. A full on glam look is the only perfect time to go crazy with the highlighter. So , to give my face some glow I add a good amount of highlight where the light naturally hits my face . That is, on top of my cheek bone, down the bridge of my nose ( especially the tip of the nose, to give it a more pointy effect ), and on my cupid’s bow.
Moving back to the eyes. As my eye make-up is pretty much done , now I ‘ll curl my lashes and apply a coat of my favorite mascara. As the first coat dries , I apply another coat of the same mascara and put on a pair of natural looking falsies.
Lastly, I apply a pinkish nude matte lipstick on my lips.
To finish off my makeup look I set my face with a setting spray and I’m done.
To turn this look into a ‘Night time glam’ look , all I do is to add a little sparkle on the center of my eyelid ( you can add any bright shimmery color or you can just go with glitters) and darken the outer corners of the eyes and blend it altogether so that there are no harsh lines. Next , I change my natural falsies with heavy lashes or wispies. Finally, I change my lip color into a full nude or go bold and wear a bright red lipstick (It totally depends on you).
So, here’s the final look !
Hope these tips were helpful to you. Do give it a try. And another thing , make-up is a way to express yourself; if you love it then don’t feel shy about it. Be conscious of the impression you want to make and focus on using make-up to enhance your natural beauty rather then masking your imperfections.
