I have learned that prayer is powerful. It brings peace of mind and has the power to alleviate the soul. No matter what your beliefs are, religious or not, when you are deeply focused in a prayer you are meditating. You are letting out your hopes and fears, and genuinely giving thanks for all that you have to be grateful for. In prayer, you release your innermost thoughts to the universe, the God that you believe in, your higher self; you are deeply connecting with whatever/whoever it is that you have faith in. This is in my opinion what “praying” means. Faith alone can move you through a multitude of things. The mind is stronger than we often realize and someway, some how, miracles do happen. Have an open mind, a positive mind and pair it with a grateful, humble heart.

Patience

One of the most admirable traits a person can possess is patience. It’s difficult to hold on to that in a world where everything seems to be moving so rapidly. By nature we are anxious to know what will come next. We wish for something and build an entire fantasy in our minds. Without taking a single step to make that wish come true, we wait around impatiently for it to magically happen. Today we are spoiled with technology, which only keeps advancing. We want things instantly and easily. Not even taking into consideration the complexity behind them. It takes hard work to make these advancements; it takes hard work to obtain anything worth keeping whether it’s a diploma, career, relationship, your dream body, even mental wellness. “Why are you single?”

My absolute favorite question of all time. As if a seemingly attractive woman I required to be taken. As if one should settle for anyone with potential just to avoid being alone. Well that is wrong, that is ignorant. My answer to this question is, I’m single because I’m happy with myself. I have yet to cross paths with a man who maximizes my happiness. When my time comes to “settle”, I don’t want to choose to “settle” for that person. I want scary sparks so strong that alone they discharge any other factors involved. A connection that pulls us together like a power surge. I want a connection that speaks for it self when the tough times sneak in and we begin to question if it’s all even worth it. You can cross paths with wonderful people but if your energy is not on the same level; you have to keep moving. No matter how much you try you can’t plug a three pin electrical cord into an outlet that was only made for two; even if you find a way there will still be a hole that cannot be filled. Feelers

People who genuinely feel very deeply must refrain from certain actions and situations. Feelers, individuals who gravitate to the energy of each human who comes close enough. They are deeply impacted by every action, every word, every possible outcome, every disappointment… Even when it’s not directed to them. Feelers are healers. The ideal life for them is to heal the wounded, the deeply scarred. These are the ones who find the broken and hope to fix them; they want to change the bad into good. They want to give blacked out hearts back their color. Every life line they cross matters. Ironically, these healers often need healing themselves… Because with every wounded one, they leave behind a piece of themselves. To maintain sanity, feelers must momentarily hide away within themselves to catch a break from the vibes that surround them.
