San Antonio Zoo

The San Antonio Zoo ranks one before last in the list of worst zoos in the USA. This awful ranking should tell the authorities of San Antonio that our zoo needs either to close its doors or upgrade it to 21st century standards of animal decency. That old Christian concept That God place animals for the exclusive purpose of human use of them in any way shape of form is terribly wrong but obsolete. It come to believe that since animals can’t talk like us, they must be dumb. Recent studies, however, suggest that some are as intelligent as some humans are and even smarter. In view of these shouldn’t we do something for those trapped in those enclosures at our zoo? It’ll be unfortunate if a person or persons had never seen a lion, for example, but so bad, see it on TV or some other means, but if the poor lion is not adequately comfortable and happy like those on Animal Kingdom. Don’t have him or her! Prisoner of our whim. Do you people out there agree disagree or don’t give a rats tail about it?

Fell from the stairs

I guess I was not 100% on the scape from my adventure with the stairs. I went today to see Dr. Simon because my wrist has been hurting never scenes march 4 when I fell down the stairs. The thing is that The head of the head off the cubit bone is broken, so I have a cast in my left arm.

It is amazing to reflect how naive we are as humans, and how easily we put our live in a complete stranger’s hands with out care for our safety. When we get into a plane , a taxi, train, or bus, its always the same. We don’t know anything of the person holding our lives in the palm of their hands. Fortunately most of the time all ends up ok, but when it doesn’t?How naïve are we?

Humanity now and then

Has it ever pass a century without us humans fighting for some reason or another? The other night I was listening to the history channel which was in one of its END OF THE WORLD. It quoted Nostradamus and the Apocalypse from the New Testament. I don’t have to listen to a bunch of fatalistic BS when I now that the Middle East is just like a cartridge of dynamite just waiting for someone to light the fuse. Are we ever going to leave in peace respecting one another? Unless we end with women discrimination treating them as equaland even in cases better than us males. End with child molestation of every kind, and other cancers which plague humanity, this world of ours is doomed.

Twitter and Facebook

With regards to Twitter and Facebook, I just go about like that Dunkee who Play the flute. PR is terribly expensive, and Idon't have the moneye to pay for it. I have to do it to promote my Nobles.

Thank you very much for your concern. All my bruises are disappearing, but I still have a lot of pain in my left hand and wrist. it is shameful doll that doctors cannot prescribe you any modern pain medication because it is against the law.Thanks again for your concernLuis Olivié

It's been quite a while, Sr. Olivie! How's your writing been going?

I'm still writing thing God, but I had to dedicate time to learn Facebook and Twitter to promote my book besides, I fell down the stairs three weeks ago, and I'm still recovering.

Fats Dominoe had it right with that song: “Aint that a Shame!” Indeed is a shame that doctors in the ER can’t give you the latest in pain medication like : Demerol, Vicodin, etc. After I fell from 14 wooden steps of the staircase of my home, my wife took me to the North -central Baptist Hospital’s ER. After a full body CT scan to check for fractures or/and internal bleeding, The doctor confirmed that I was terribly bruised. I asked him if he could give medication for the pain. You must take in consideration that even today my left hand and wrist still hurt badly. Plus my sternum fills like is going to split in two every time I seat or rill in bed at night. The doctor told me : “I can’t give you Vicoden because it’s a control substance now. I’m very sorry. The government has reclassified pain medications to prevent people from using them as drugs. I can only give you Tylenol III with codeine. Again I’m sorry; you’re going to have to take Motrim or something alone that line. I’m sure those who use those medications the wrong way can still find them at the black market. I can name lots of prescription medications and many over the counter ones that have change their formula and they advertise as nothing had happened, and those who have a D like Allegra D, Clariti D, etc. required a drivers license. Those you are entitle to one box of 10 or 20 if you present a valid ID, But if you live in San Antonio de la Alergia you might need a doctor’s prescription to use it regularly. I am a PCA for blind twin boys who have special needs. Liam is completely blind and Jakob can see out of his right eye but poorly and we have been told he will lose his sight as he ages. I have worked with special needs kids my whole life but I have never worked with an individual, let alone 2 who have ben visually impaired. I’ll try to answer your questions the best of my ability.

First of all, I have been blind all my life , but for the first 25 years I have been legally blind on the left eye and totally blind on my right one. Hated school since both my mother and the priests of my school didn’t care at all whether I live or die. Next to my visual problems, I had and still have a great deal of medical ones which have made my life very hard. When I was in second grade the principal told my mother that I was mentally retarded (dumb), and from that day on I had to fend on my own as far as school concerns. I went to college here in San Antonio Texas and got a double major in math and human resources. My life in college was no different than before just that my vision was much worse than before, and I received no special help from there either because I was a foreign student.

Lets talk about something more pleasant like voice over.

The VO keys are option + control

To turn voice over on press command + F5

I strongly recommend you to do the tutorial which can be accessed by pressing control + option + command

Start there and once you are familiar with it and can teach it to your children, I’ll explain to you how to set voice over using the preference menu, so Voice Over can perform like you and they want.

I would like to help you as much as I can, but doing it through Tumblr is a bit difficult for me  since I’m not savvy at all in the manipulation of it. Actually my daughter does all the posting I need. Would it be possible that you can contact me through my email on my web site at

We all have heard the phrase “take care of the environment” by way of not polluting with garbage that is not bio-degradable for example, but what can we do when our prescriptions packaging materials. Let me give you an examplecome wrapped in high polluting:

I use a prescription medication which has to be kept refrigerated at all times. As of five months ago, I used to purchase it from my local pharmacy, but five months ago I was forced to purchased it from a mail order pharmacy due to the government’s health insurance plans even though I have a private insurance. Now the four cardboard boxes comes inside a larger cardboard box. You might say:

“What’s the matter with that? Cardboard is totally recyclable there is no harm in that!”

To that I’ll respond:

“The box is not what the problem is. The contents of the box are.”

Inside the box is another package form by a plastic bag of anti-reflecting material to prevent the cold  air from escaping; inside the bag are two pastil ice packs filled with a blue ghee solution. There is a label on the ice packs which have a sign that  the content of the bags can be empty in the drain, but what about the pastil bags? This is not all, at the bottom of the bag lies a spongy material to protect the four small cardboard boxes filled with seven plastic surgenges.

“Where does all that ends up at ?”

The answer is simple:

To a landfill, where else?

Maybe we should just call male Siri... just Sir.

Hello my good friends,

I have something more to communicate about Siri. As we all know, Siri is a girl name in some sort of nordic language. maybe, OK? I even heard somewhere that someone in Apple name his daughter after Siri.

I, seldom, open the settings file on my phone, but after IOS 7.1, I went in to take a look. When I got to Siri on the General submenu, I saw that she now has the ability to choose between a male and a female voice.

How little imagination do these people have for God sake? Could they instead of having the option of offering the choice of normal Siri to Siri on testosterone; they could have very well given us the option of a Siri and Andrew, but of course those people at Apple offer us Siri talking in a deep baritone saying:

“Hey dude! I’m Siri man. What can I do? Speak fast because I probably will not understand what you said anyway you foreign blind man.”

I also thought that the young sassy Siri would return, but I was mistaken and only the new serious middle age woman stayed. Basically I think they should be a little more creative with it and name male Siri something else. Maybe nobody cares about something so trivial but I do.

Was there anyone who objected Siri having a female voice? I, for one, prefer to be attended by a lady especially at my bank’s phone-bank. Men there are courteous but never like the ladies. For a man, who spends much of his day alone at home, is great when someone asks : What do you do, how is the weather here, and so on. Small talk makes my day till my wife comes from school. If for example you need to make payment arrangements, God forbid the representative is a man because you are not going to make any sort of arrangement or small talk.
