Trusting God When Life Doesn’t Make Sense šŸ¤
Hey friend, let’s talk about something real today—those seasons of life when things just don’t make sense. You know, when you’re doing all the right things, praying faithfully, showing up, giving your best… and yet, life just feels confusing, maybe even a little chaotic. If you’ve been there (or maybe you’re there right now), you’re not alone. šŸ„ŗšŸ’›
One thing I’ve learned? Trusting God when things are uncertain is hard. It’s uncomfortable, and sometimes it feels like you’re free-falling. But here’s the truth: God is in every detail, even the messy, confusing, ā€œwhy is this happening?ā€ moments.
Let’s dive into some truths about trusting Him through the twists and turns of life.
1. God Has a Plan—Even When You Can’t See It
You’ve probably heard it a thousand times: God has a plan for you! But when you’re in the middle of a storm, those words can feel empty, right? It’s hard to remember that God is weaving a plan when all we see is the tangled mess in front of us. But Scripture reminds us, ā€œFor I know the plans I have for you,ā€ says the Lord, ā€œplans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a futureā€ (Jeremiah 29:11).
God’s plan doesn’t mean life will always be easy. It means that every trial, every unexpected change, is part of a bigger story. Think of it like a beautiful tapestry: from the back, all we see is a tangle of threads. But from the front, it’s a masterpiece. God sees that masterpiece, even when all we see is the mess. šŸŽØāœØ
2. It’s Okay to Ask Questions (God Can Handle Them!)
Sometimes we feel like we need to have it all together, to put on a brave face and act like everything’s okay. But God welcomes our questions. He’s big enough for our doubts and fears. Remember Jesus on the cross? Even He cried out, ā€œMy God, my God, why have you forsaken me?ā€ (Matthew 27:46). If Jesus asked questions, so can we.
When I’m struggling to trust God, I’ve learned to be honest in my prayers. I tell Him, ā€œGod, I don’t understand this. I’m scared. I feel lost.ā€ And in those raw, honest moments, I feel His peace and His presence. He’s not asking for a polished prayer; He just wants you to bring your heart to Him. šŸ’–
3. Embrace the Waiting Season
If there’s one thing we all dislike, it’s waiting. Waiting feels like time is standing still. But here’s a thought: what if the waiting season is a preparation season? Maybe God is using this time to strengthen your faith, to deepen your character, or to prepare you for something greater.
Isaiah 40:31 reminds us, ā€œBut those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles.ā€ Waiting isn’t passive; it’s actively trusting that God is working behind the scenes. šŸ•°ļøāœØ
4. Look Back at His Faithfulness
Whenever I find myself struggling to trust God, I look back at all the times He’s shown up in my life. Think back to a time when He answered a prayer, when He provided in an unexpected way, or when He brought the right people into your life. Those are reminders that He is faithful. And if He was faithful then, He will be faithful now. šŸ’«
Create a ā€œfaith journalā€ if you don’t already have one. Write down moments of His goodness, prayers He’s answered, and ways He’s shown up in your life. It’s amazing how those reminders of His past faithfulness can give us the strength to trust Him in the present.
5. Choose Faith Over Fear (One Day at a Time)
Let’s be real: trusting God is often a daily choice. It’s not something we decide once and then never struggle with again. Fear is going to come knocking. Doubts will creep in. But we have the choice to say, ā€œToday, I’m going to trust God, even if I don’t understand what He’s doing.ā€
Matthew 6:34 tells us, ā€œDo not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.ā€ Focus on trusting God for today. And then, when tomorrow comes, trust Him again. Little by little, day by day, you’ll find that trusting Him becomes part of who you are. šŸ™
Final Thoughts: Trusting God’s Hand Even When You Can’t See His Plan
Friend, I know life doesn’t always go according to plan. There will be unexpected turns, hard days, and seasons that just don’t make sense. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that God is faithful through it all. He sees what we can’t, and He’s guiding us, even when the way is unclear.
So, if you’re in a season of doubt, remember that you don’t have to have it all figured out. Just bring your heart to God, even if it’s full of questions. Trust that He’s working, even in the waiting. And hold onto the hope that, one day, it will all make sense. šŸ’›
Let’s keep encouraging each other, praying for each other, and trusting that God’s plan is bigger and better than we can imagine.

You’re already blessed in so many ways. Focus on what you do have, rather than what you don’t have.
