🚨 The internet needs you 🚨

You’re up again, Tumblr. 

Back in 2015 you demanded that the FCC adopt strict net neutrality rules and establish a free and open internet. And you won. 

That should’ve been the end of it. But apparently not.

The new head of the FCC wants to undo the net neutrality protections you fought so hard for.

His proposed changes open the door to your web traffic being slowed down, or even blocked altogether. You could be forced to pay extra to use your favorite apps. You could even be prevented from getting news from the sources you trust.

Title II protects consumers and democracy by ensuring all voices can be heard.

You know the drill. Here’s what to do:

The FCC is taking comments from the public, and dearfcc.org is making it as simple as possible for you to make your voice heard.

You’ll just need to provide a name, an address, and then say a little bit about why rolling back Title II protections is a bad idea. If you’re not quite sure what to write, here’s something to get you started:

I’m writing to urge you to keep our Open Internet rules based on Title II in place. Without them, we could lose the internet as we know it.

The proposed changes to FCC rules would allow fast lanes for sites that pay, and force everyone else into slow lanes. We’ve already seen access to streaming services like Netflix, popular games like League of Legends, and communication platforms like FaceTime slowed down, or even blocked. Conditions like this hurt businesses large and small, and penalize the users who patronize them. 

The changes also open the door to unfair taxes on internet users, and could also make it harder for blogs, nonprofits, artists, and others who can’t pay up to have their voices heard.

Please leave the existing net neutrality rules based on Title II in place.

Hi, thanks! I’m not sure which FB you’re referring to since I don’t usually update my public one too frequently, and any pictures I have with anyone is usually from my performances! Other than that, since you did take the time to message me about it, I’d like to offer some earnest advice. I think you’d probably be better off looking at people for who they are on the inside first and not WHAT they are. Maybe some guy somewhere might not mind that you have yellow fever (although I’m not even sure I can call it that since you seem specifically drawn to Japanese men as a result of whatever image you have of them), but the majority of people will find it incredibly demeaning and racist that the only prerequisite for you dating them is their ethnicity.My advice on finding anyone, romantic or otherwise? Just be a kind person with a open mind and the right people will come into your life. Limiting yourself and simultaneously pigeon-holing all Japanese men into a tiny little stereotype due to an innately racist fetish you may have is the worst way to go about it.It’s okay to have preferences and I’m not here to judge you or demonize you for them, but you may want to look inside yourself ask yourself WHY you want a Japanese boyfriend. Is it because of the media (anime, dramas, music) you consume, or because you have an image in mind of how they will act? Don’t forget, every person on this planet is different, including those of the same race. Even if you find yourself a Japanese boyfriend, it won’t mean that he acts like you think he will. It won’t mean he’ll look as you think he’ll look. It won’t mean he’s kind. It won’t mean you’ll share the same interests. The same goes for anyone and the reverse is true too. If you find that you’re only wanting a Japanese man as a boyfriend because you consume a lot of Japanese pop-culture and media and you have a very narrow-view of Japan, I would suggest educating yourself on not just Japan, but different parts of the world. Broaden your horizons and learn about different things. Once again, I don’t know who you are since you are anonymous and therefore know nothing about you and may have made some generalizations, but I hope that you can take what I said to heart. It’s sad to me to hear of couples who are only dating because one person has a fetish for their race and cared little about who they were to begin with. It’s dehumanizing, and I hope in some way or form, I have helped you see how unkind that is. If you have questions, I’d love to speak more to you because like I said, I’m not here to judge– just to educate and advise. :) If you only messaged me that way because you don’t know much about the world and weren’t really aware that the message was racist, well, this is a great opportunity to help you learn about different things.

I posted this up on my twitter last week, but here it is again for my tumblr peeps! I’ve been playing a lot of Blade and Soul again and decided to draw my character (the male Lyn on the right) with my bf’s character. We decided that my Lyn was canonically 30 years old (about 5 years the Gon’s senior) and is super aggressive but sometimes goes overboard with his bloodlust and the Gon just kind of has to gently pick him up and remind him to not kill everyone (⁎⚈᷀᷁▿⚈᷀᷁⁎)
