En route to Amsterdam to meet besties, feeling happy, kid free and getting carried away with duty purchase of @jomalonelondon and @longchamp sunnies at airport. Then popped to ladies where I saw this purple sign. Strong feeling of uneasiness knowing this is happening in our country at this airport now. Desperate people feeling terrified. I often get asked what om is and why we chant it. Om or AUM is a sacred Hindu mantra. Chanting it before and after yoga class makes it more special than just exercises. Om is the sound of the universe; by chanting it we are symbolically and physically connecting to all other living beings, nature and the universe. It also slows down our nervous system and calms us beautifully. It also just feels nice to om your heart out! There’s more but that’s for starters.
