Last Sunday we woke up and the weather was nice, we had to clean and do laundry so we didn’t make any plans. You never know with the weather, it might change any minute. We were almost done with everything and I asked Niklas if he wanted to go take a walk on the beach, he said yes. We put on comfy and warm clothes and headed to Ljunghusen beach, it’s located 25 min from Malmö and it’s beautiful.

More pizza on a Saturday

I feel like Saturday’s were created for pizza. And I LOVE pizza. Yesterday we went for dinner with Niklas family to Via Napoli, as you may have guessed an Italian restaurant. It’s not my first time there and it won’t be my last, the food there is incredibly good.

Niklas ordered a risotto ai funghi and I ordered a margherita. The people working there are Italian aswell as the ingredients they cook…

Lasagne + bad news

Niklas and I made a Lasagne the other day and it turned out sooo good, and it didn’t take long to make. I’ll try and post the recipe next week.

But now into serious talk, my grandma passed away yesterday. She was almost 90 and suffered from Alzheimer from what I know. Last time I saw her was 6 years ago, she could barely remember who I was. Now I’ve never been close to my father nor his side of…

You can’t say no to a burger

Last night some colleagues and I went to have dinner at this place called Bronx Burger. Originally from the north of Sweden they recently opened here in Malmö. Now I’ve been wanting to go and try their burgers for a while, but I’ve never really had the opportunity.

Saturday is pizza day

I booked (or so I thought) a table two days ago a one of my favorite places in town, an Italian restaurant called Spot.

When we got there they couldn’t find the reservation and asked me if I had got a confirmation. I checked and in fact I had not. Now how does this happen? I’m still quite sure I did everything right on the website… but oh well.

Plans for 2020

For the past six years I’ve been trying to get my sh*t together piece by piece. Every year has been full of new challenges, but I guess that’s life. I’ve always been very aware of how lucky and blessed I am. I’m not rich and far from being a 10/10 but I’ve always had a loving family, friends that support me, a roof on top of my head and food on the table. That’s more than many people have.

Spanish tapas are always a good idea

Saturday evening came and we had no plans so Niklas proposed to go out on a date. We found a spanish restaurant none of us had been to called Vibliotek, it is located in the centre of Malmö.

When we arrived the first thing I heard was the people working there were speaking spanish. That’s how you know it’s authentic. I had booked a table so that we could sit close to the live music, a spanish man…

Stockholm

Once again I had to go to Stockholm, for work. The only difference this time I had my friend from work with me. We always have a lot of fun together and this time it was no different. We stayed two extra nights so we could explore the city and just relax.

For the yearly girls-trip we decided to go to Gdánsk, why? It was the cheapest. I had never been in Poland but had always been interested in going there. So for around 30€ we got a 3 days holiday.

We booked an Airbnb that was basically an apartment complex managed as a hotel. If you look for it it’s called Hotel Number One. We didn’t have breakfast included but there is a pool, gym and sauna that you can access for free. It was really nice coming from being outside all day to a nice warm pool. The apartment was modern and clean, very cozy.

Since the airbnb was so close to the centre we just walked everywhere. I would say the city vibe is like if Amsterdam and Copenhague had a baby, that would be Gdánsk. The people seemed serious but they were fairly nice. The only negative was the cold, oh god it was cold. I had my best winter jacket, double wool socks but still.

The first place where we ate was called Pankejk and it was not only cheap but also sooo tasty. We had a great brunch there. Our other favourite restaurant was Pyra Bar, their speciality are potato pancakes. I still dream about them. Gdánsk is pretty affordable when it comes to food.

We took an Uber to Sopot, a small town next to Gdánsk, there we spent the day and ate at a vegan restaurant. The food was so good. Basically all the food that I ate during this trip was delicious. The weather wasn’t the best, it was so windy but the pier was so pretty and the water so clear.

  At night you could walk through the city and see the Christmas lights, it was so pretty and the city was so quiet. I never expected Poland to be so colorful, I thought everything would be cold and grey but it wasn’t. I will definitely be coming back, there’s still so much more I want to do and places I want to explore in Poland.

Gibraltar

We took a one day trip to Gibraltar which is one hour away from where we’re living. We didn’t have much luck with the weather, it was foggy but still hot. The only downside it was soooo humid!

We just walked around and what surprised me the most was the price of the alcohol, very cheap. Other than that it was an ok place nothing that I dream of comming back to.

Best Indian food in Marbella

Close to where we live in Marbella there is this Indian restaurant called Mini India and it is soooo good. I’ve been there a few times and it’s always the best quality.

Not only is the food good but the men working there are so kind and the service is always good. They offer you this crispy bread with three sauces for free before you get your food.
