I’ve been sitting with that episode all day and here’s what I got: this story has been largely defined by the pervasive idea that Hirukawa is the one “infecting” Minase. Everyone in Minase’s life has told him to stay away from Hirukawa, as if merely being in his presence will get that poor delinquent stink on him and ruin his future, and then spread the contagion to them. They’re so afraid of Hirukawa’s “infection” that they’ve threatened Minase, saying he will lose status and support if he spends time with him. Everyone who sees them together believes Hirukawa is some kind of virus or parasite that will destroy Minase.
So it was such an interesting choice to have Hirukawa say to Minase: “infect me.” He was talking about his cold, on the surface, but really about his deep desire for some part of Minase to get inside him. For some kind of proof that they are connected and in this together. For Minase to alter and change him in some ineffable way. For Minase be the one to infect him, instead of the other way around.

Toxic Ships That Poisoned A Show
Because people say it's a straight person thing, but nope as some shows it's an all sexualities thing.

wait do people read first person stories and think they're the ones in the story???
Saw people talking about not liking first person, which is fair, but their reasoning was like "I would not do that" and I don't understand that mindset.
First person stories are still about a character. A character making their own decisions. First person isn't about you???? At least I thought it wasn't. What am I missing? I've always seen first person as just a more in-depth look into a character's mind and stricter POV. Not as a reader stand-in.
