A man who spent his life bringing others to Christ through our call to “Love thy neighbor as thyself” has finished that call on earth. For many progressive Catholics, Pope Francis’s death has led us to worry about his successor. If our next Pope is more conservative, will we lose the progress we have made since 2013? If our next Pope is progressive, will we lose more traction and authority in the eyes of the traditionalists? These questions are normal and come from a good place, but we have no reason to worry – God did not let the devil snatch Pope Francis, and He will not let us go, either.

I feel like my entire adult life to this point has been spent in the Garden of Gethsemane. And yet, every time God has given me the opportunity to leave the Garden, I’ve refused. Because I know what comes next.

I've been thinking about when Jesus resurrects Jairus' daughter, and how the first thing he does is tell them to feed her. I sort of feel like her sometimes, like that's kind of my relationship with the Eucharist. Everytime I fall Jesus brings me back to like and feeds me with himself. I've been seeing the Eucharist in so many bible passages lately, like the banquet after the prodigal son comes back, or the bread that's given to Elias when he's desperate and wants to die. God left so many clues and when I read them I just feel so much joy knowing He truly wants to come to me in the Eucharist, even if I don't feel worthy of it.

One must remember that Christianity is the religion of love. Christ left with His disciples not a doctrine of individual salvation but a new commandment "that they love one another," and He added: "By this shall all know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."

"I never expected to receive visions. But when I was at my lowest mentally, God sent me His consolation in a very special way. I wasn’t always sure how to explain my experiences, just that the things I saw and heard weren’t coming from my own experiences – they were beyond me."

absolutely my favorite thing about being Catholic is that I can just go to Adoration and He's RIGHT THERE! Like hi Jesus! I love you!
I have to say, I think the biggest reason I'm catholic is the eucharist. Just... having the real physical presence of Christ exactly where you are, where you can worship him, adore him, just be with him... I couldn't ever leave the catholic church, because it would mean leaving the eucharist - Jesus - behind.

"But when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door, and pray to your Father who is unseen." - Jesus, who made cats and probably anticipated this problem

I had to start praying it in another room with the door shut.

About Me
Welcome! I’m so glad you’re choosing to spend some of your time here. This blog is a space for me to record messages the Lord has asked me to pass on.
I’m a 21 year old high school teacher and a cradle Catholic. I’m also a cancer survivor and I currently am managing fibromyalgia and borderline personality disorder. I’ve also been experiencing visions since October 2021.
The first vision I had was an imaginative vision of Christ kneeling next to me in prayer. I was struggling with the first anniversary of my cancer diagnosis and wondering if something like that would happen to me again. I was praying the Litany of Trust in Adoration, and as I prayed the line “That you are with me in my suffering, Jesus, I trust in You!” I had this vision of Christ Crucified kneeling next to me and weeping with me. Since then I’ve experienced several intellectual locutions, meaning God temporarily bypasses the human need for learning through the senses to directly impart understanding, which my brain is then able to translate into words so I can communicate with others.
It is these locutions which I intend to share with the Church today. My mission is to renew the Church’s love for the poor, particularly in America. My goal is to refocus the Church from her distractions in the form of empty, merciless doctrine and tradition, political debate, and infighting. I dream of renewing Eucharistic devotion and zeal for the Gospel mission.
At Song of Trust, you’ll find hope for those who feel outcast from the Church, reflections on Scripture and Church doctrine, real-life applications of Catholic Social Teaching, and meditations rooted in the Gospels, Church documents, and social justice. I don’t pretend to be an authority on any of these topics – I’m merely sharing my own experiences and reflections. I invite you to join me on this journey. Pull up a chair and pray with me. If we all pray and work together, we can renew the Church.
