Info-dump about my DSMP oc, Woodland! The art is her in her work attire.

Personality:

Woodland is a very kind and sweet woman. She is always putting others before herself, even when it means sacrificing her own wellbeing (sometimes she doesn't realise she's doing it). She likes to help people and keep herseld busy. Woodland always tries to see the best in people and treats everyone new she meets with respect and gentle care. She is perceptive when it comes to others' interests, and oftentimes will remember even the smallest details about a person. She commits to remembering things in order to build positive relationships with people. However, she can be naive and has trouble distinguishing malice or ill intent in people. Woodland never complains and will often pick up work when she isn't asked, just to take the pressure off of others.

Story/Lore:

Woodland comes from a small village in a jungle biome (I know they don't exist in vanilla Minecraft) that bordered a desert biome with another village nearby. She grew up with both cultures in her life but leaned more into her own village's culture and traditions. As she grew older, Woodland wanted to explore the world. So she left her village and set out to traverse and discover the rest of the land.

She arrived in L'Manberg shortly after the War for Independence. Woodland helped to rebuild anything touched by destruction without even knowing any of the people. She quickly became acquainted with the people of L'Manberg, earning their trust and respect because of her selfless kindness and willingness to help them.

Woodland was a very neutral force during the presidential elections. She hadn't known Jschlatt very well and thought he had kind of come out of nowhere. When he was elected, Woodland took up a job as a secretary in the White House. She got to know Quackity very well that way, developing the beginning of an affection toward him. She could see his underlying drive to be somebody in the world.

Woodland lost all of her respect and admiration for Wilbur when he blew up L'Manberg. She had never seen a person like him before where she was from, and had thought he was a very inspirational and admirable man. In the midst of the loss of her new home, Woodland spent her time comforting others and helping them heal instead of worrying about herself.

Woodland was unsure about the banishing of Tommy. But she didn't protest against it because she felt like she shouldn't have a say since she hadn't been there from the beginning. During the time that L'Manberg was governed by Tubbo, she grew closer to Quackity. I don't recall when the Karlnapity engagement happened, but Woodland was a part of that arrangement. Woodland did not participate in the hunt for Technoblade, deeming it immoral in her own opinion.

She lost her first life during Doomsday and had her trust destroyed again by Philza this time. She again spent her time caring for other people after the horrific event instead of thinking about herself.

My memory of this server is not what it used to be, so I can't remember anything else significant after Doomsday and before places like Kinoko Kingdom and Las Nevadas. Pandora's Vault?

Woodland was very hurt when Karl and Sapnap left her and Quackity behind to start Kinoko Kingdom. However, like all other times of crisis and heartache, Woodland expended all her enegery on Quackity to hopefully make him feel better about the situation. Even after he broke off the engagement with her, too, demoting them both to simply dating. She was by Quackity's side the whole time, encouraging him and helping him build his legacy in the form of Las Nevadas. While she doesn't agree with the nature of the city, Woodland gives her full support to him anyway. She works at the casino for no wage, doing a multitude of tasks such as: bartending, bussing, waiting, overseeing games, and onstage entertainment (singing and dancing). She also cleans the casino floor top to bottom whenever the casino hours are not open. Every time. She also will help Quackity with legal city stuff when he's too stressed or there's a lot. Woodland does all of this without complaining, without being told, and purely out of her want to help Quackity out and be there supporting him. It is not good for her, especially since Quackity grew more distant toward her, focusing more on the city.

Significant Relationships:

Wilbur (Revivebur): Poor, little trust

Phil: Neutral, doesn't see him

Tommy: Good, misses his energy all the time

Technoblade: Very poor, afraid of him

Charlie: Very good, likes having him around

Quackity: Strained, but still in love with him

Sam: Neutral, doesn't speak much to him

Foolish: Good, likes to watch him build

Fundy: Sympathetic, feels bad for him

Karl: Poor, feels abandoned

Sapnap: Poor, feels abandoned

Tidbits:

Woodland knits when she is overwhelmed or upset. It helps her process and sort her emotions and thoughts. She should not be interrupted while organising her thoughts, or she'll become snappy and very unlike herself, which she hates to be.

Woodland's hair is very important to her. I was inspired by the significance of hair in some indigenous peoples' cultures and added it to Woodland's people's culture. They believe it holds memories and represents strength and endurance, as well as growth as a person.

Woodland will walk barefoot wherever safely can because of her culture, believing it connected them more with nature and the world around them.

Woodland's hair is so blonde that it's nearly white. Her eyes are blue.

Woodland's working dress is wine red with black accepts. Sometimes, she wears a pantsuit with a half black half wine red vest.

Woodland does not indulge in alcohol or harmful substances.

Sacrilege and Steel shitpost #1

As revenge for what the fallen god did to her children, [Character I] requested a weapon carefully constructed from the fires of [Mentioned Character]’s forge. It was small, unassuming in the eyes of the gods. Apparently her children learned to use them for wartime. What mother would she be if she didn’t learn from her children?

[Character H] stood before her, mocking the weapon in her hand. He claimed it would do him no harm, but his laughter was cut short as [Character I] raised her arm. A bang shook the Hall and [Character H] fell to the ground, a small hole in the centre of his skull.

This is funnier because these are the gods. Please laugh at my 3am humour.

Sacrilege and Steel Excerpt #1

[Character A]'s head snapped up as she left the cave. She broke into a sprint, following the cries until she reached them.

"STOP," she cried. "Please, stop!" She ran over and tried to pull [Character C] away. [Character C] growled, stabbing the knife into [Character B] again and leaving it there. She pushed him away with all her strength, assessing the damage.

"[Character C]!" She looked at him. "Really?!"

"Don't scold me like a child! He and I may be products of the same affliction, but he still murders our kind."

 "So I suppose you're going to kill all who hunt you, yes?" she said, looking at him. "It would only make sense. Kill them all, (Character C]! All the hunters! Young, old, male, female; you had better! Right?! See it through!" She stood up, fists clenched. "Fine! You've got two right here. Kill us! Will it make you feel better? Will it make you feel better even if it doesn't bring the dead back?!"

“You set me free. I have no quarrel with you. He, however, murdered my family. He murdered them due to his own self-repulsion!”

"Don't cherry-pick, [Character C]," [Character A] said. "I may have saved your life, but I've taken many others. You can't kill [Character B] and not me."

Remember, these excerpts are in their roughest stage of development.

Decided to give some art of her while I make the effort of remembering all her dsmp lore and compiling it into a post. It's been a long while since I've thought about her personal lore, so I'm watching summaries and overviews of the dsmp storyline to remember what I had decided for her, haha. 😅

I will talk about her a little bit now, though. Spritely is part phantom. Originally, I was going with just a full phantom hybrid thing, and half of her body was just covered by shadow. My Minecraft skin was like this before (I really liked the phantom mob, I thought it looked cool), and the shadowed part was supposed to represent my fears and anxieties and everything messed up in my head ;-;.

I remember being heavily inspired by Ranboo's character at the time, and so I decided Spritely had another side to her underneath the shadow. I had not known what I wanted at the time, and settled for creeper or drowned. After the dsmp and the update with the ancient cities in the deep dark biome, however, I finally decided what her other half was going to be: warden.

I'm realising now I sort of messed up the wing, ugh. I also forgot her tail, as I always do. Anyway, her eye is green like the phantom mob. Her skin is the same shade of blue they are, and her hair is a bit of a lighter shade of blue, closer to a dark teal rather than a purpley blue. Her horn is made of bone, as are the structural parts of her wing along with the entirety of her tail, and they are shaded with the same greyish cream colour the phantoms have. Lastly, for this section, Spritely has grey markings on her body where bones are located. There are no markings for her skull, however.

For clothing, she wears an off-white fabric as a makeshift tank-top and black shorts. Over top, she dons a beige poncho. On her feet are socks resembling trapeze boots. They are not the boots, just sort of a sock/legging that looks the same. She wears no footwear because she likes to be connected to the earth.

I hope this satisfies for now, lol. I am working on getting that lore situated for that one person who wanted to know <3. Thanks for being interested. :D
