From what I can make out:

Appearance: Hair of eye-____ ____. Eyebrows with the ____ of slightly ____. Often draped in red. Occasionally ____ ____ ____.

It's incredibly hard to make much out despite my best efforts, and I could be very wrong about what I'm seeing, but that's what I got. I don't know if it's anything, but there it is I guess, enjoy and do with it what you will! 😅

Crowley's pre-fall name is BARAQIEL (THEORY)

Very well. Who doesn't love the Crowley is the Archangel Raphael theory (I am certainly of those people who do). During my first watch of Good Omens S2 I was even somehow almost confident that that was the case.

However, my second, more careful, viewing of this lovely (but equally heartbreaking) season made me change my mind, likely for good. In episode 4, Furfur's book "Demon's Guide To Angelic Beings Who Walk The Earth" shows us a name of a certain angel Baraqiel. (see photo below) Knowing Good Omens that can hardly be a coincidence.

Unfortunately, the very text is quite unreadable. One thing, other than the name, which is pretty clear is the subheading "Angel of the Sky" and since the episode 1 lets us take a look at how Crowley did indeed take part in creation of what is to be seen in the night sky, one can hardly find that entirely non-fitting. One other sentence I was (at least I think) able to read is "Often draped in red."

(On a different note but certainly worth noticing are scribbles that generally just roast Crowley – his suspiciousness, hair and name (though I am not absolutely sure of the latter) "His hair is bad!" Wow, Furfur really does hate Crowley.)

Then there is something written above the name of Baraqiel, unfortunately in none of the picture frames does it get a bit readable. I wonder though, couldn't it be "former"? Since it comes precisely after mention of Crowley to whom should one report on Aziraphale.

Crowley is very powerful. Dominion

A word that is not exactly readable but can be deduced from its placement (it is situated just as Aziraphale's "Principality") is Baraqiel's rank – Dominion Angel. It should be noted here that I very much lack proper knowledge of either Jewish or Christian mythology and I would hate to provide any incorrect claims. I therefore think it is better for me not to overly state things, even more so since everyone can look into it on their own and figure out what that might mean for our beloved demon. What I will say, however, is that they are (as I understand it) very powerful and, placed within the 2nd triad in the angel hierarchy, ranked higher than the Archangels. This would go well along with the emphasis that was in my opinion laid on Crowley's powers quite a lot this season.

For example: "A miracle of enormous power happened last night. The kind of miracle only the mightiest of archangels could've performed," said Shax to Crowley, to which he replied: "How'd you know I didn't do it?" He didn't get an answer.

What I think (and I may be very wrong, obviously) is that a miracle of this vastness wouldn't have happened simply because of a regular angel and a regular demon did together half a miracle each. What is also worth noticing is that the tool with which Crowley created the Nebula is the same as the one he used to temporarily stop time at the end of season 1 right before Satan's arrival. So much to the size of his powers.

Finally, to Baraqiel himself. My lack of knowledge concerning this matter still stands and frankly I don't even know where to find valid information about angels and such on the internet. Baraqiel should, however, stand for "lightning of God" and is also regarded as the angel of lightning. In season 2 there are (as far as I remember) two occasions where Crowley is put in correlation with lightning. (1) His poor anger management issues in episode 1 and (2) his not at all better matchmaking in episode 3 ("I haven't done weather in ages"). Furthermore, Baraqiel is considered to be the one who taught astrology to people. Nevertheless, what points to Crowley and Baraqiel being one even more is that Baraqiel is indeed a fallen angel.

So... That is probably it. I usually tent to theorize about stuff in quiet, in fact, this is the first time I've used Tumblr for anything other than reading Neil Gaiman's posts. I didn't even think that I would actually post it but then I've searched on Twitter, TikTok and here on Tumblr if anyone else has already come up with this theory. The only post I could find (hopefully I haven't missed anything) was by @valaza_04 on Twitter (click here) where they refer to the same frame shot as I do here.

Now I know, we are still recovering from heartbreaking (but if you ask me, absolutely amazing) finale and the main thing currently on our minds is figuring out why would Aziraphale choose as he did and the many wonderful theories that come with it. However, considering the utterly virulent look that Metatron shot at Crowley before walking out of the bookshop with Aziraphale and also his "Well, [Crowley] always did want to go his own way. Always asking damn fool questions, too." makes me think that he absolutely does not care for Crowley and whichever angel he was before the Fall. And I reckon it won't remain unnoticed in season 3 and might even be really important (or that is just me wishing for more pre-fall Crowley scenes). Hence I decided that I will post this. And it doesn't matter if no one will see this in the end, it was quite fun to write. However, if there is someone who will read this all the way through, I hope they will accept my apology for the mistakes I have most possibly made (English is not my first language) and also for the ridiculous length this post has come to gather. It turns out, I am just as chatty of a writer as I am speaker.

Well maybe I will come around to write one more post about this theory, only with a proper research this time. Till then thank you and, please, support this season by streaming as much as you can so we can have season 3 of this masterpiece of a show. And be kind to those bringing it to us in your comments regarding the ending, even though it is very frustrating and heart-shattering, it is also maybe the best ending we could have hoped for with the prospects of season 3.

I mean, it was implied god was looking to be done with the Earth after 6000 years in the beginning - 6000 years which have passed by now - so it stands to reason she might've moved on to other things. What they are, who's to say? Point is, it's not entirely impossible that someone else has picked up the reigns and started playing god in her absence.

do we know for sure frances mcdormand wasn't in s2 except for the job bit because she couldn't actually record her lines or is there a deeper reason to god only being present in the past and not tell us about the present. like, idk, for example, god being actually gone - for one reason or the other - and no one knows except, obviously, the metatron, who now is trying to... well. take control by doing whatever he wants to do in every shitty way possible.

Of course, I'm here for the messy, post-breakup blubbering and depression, but does this mean we're gonna get an extra hot bitch I Will Survive era out of Crowley after a while? 👀

I mean, the best tried and true cure for sad bitch hours is to come back even hotter and serve absolute cunt while doing it. If anyone is capable of that next season, it's without a doubt Crowley - he's got that energy in spades.

I'm just saying, A Soulmate Who Wasn't Meant to Be is deffo going on my playlist after all that - we drink wine and cry-sing while writing fics and posts in this house. It's what Crowley would want, honestly.🍷😌

I don't believe that sentiment at all - and neither do they, I'm sure - but damn if that isn't the vibe where we've left off for now.

First of all, I do want Crowley to wallow and be miserable for a while - I very much need a post-messy breakup scene of him drunk and blubbering to Muriel; it would be a delight - but I also want him to pick himself up and realize why he's there, to begin with. He thought Earth should continue beyond 6000 years and questioned why it wasn't going to at the start. Then he stopped the apocalypse from destroying it because he still felt the same those 6000 years later - if not even more so - despite having been punished for it time and time again. Aziraphale may have become the most significant part of why he was there yet, but from the beginning, he's always thought of Earth as something too wonderful to just let die, and there he still is. That is where he's meant to be in some ineffable way, even if that means Aziraphale isn't - at least not for the time being, anyway. Sure, it's not always pretty, and sometimes it can be downright cruel, but it has its moments, and there's an awful lot of beauty to be found there yet despite it all. If anyone should know that by now, it's him.

Second, I think Muriel could be a great way for Crowley to start getting the point of it all since he's been questioning it for some time now. Personally, the sheer innocent joy they seem to have for being on Earth and getting to experience it all for the first time this season was just so pre-Fall Crowley to me. I think seeing them fall in love with Earth despite their initial hesitations as he and Aziraphale did would be an excellent way for him to realize that is the point. To enjoy the life you're given because while it's not always great, it's never all bad either, and you've only got so much time to enjoy it. You have to appreciate it all as it comes, otherwise, why would you bother living to begin with? And that doesn't go for just humans either - there'd be no point in him being there if he didn't appreciate Earth for what it was and the life he semi-built with Aziraphale on it. Maybe he just needs a reminder of that fact courtesy of someone so similar to who he once was.

I don't know; I'm not sure what to expect from season 3 at all if we get it. I just think that Crowley figuring all of that out could lead to him realizing that the same thing that can be said about Earth can be said about them. What they've both been through wasn't pretty, and they've both made their mistakes, but what they could do together is beautiful. They just need to be able to work through that ugly to build something wonderful in its place. It's not going to be easy - and somewhere knows it hasn't happened yet in 6000 years - but they've got time yet, and it's every bit worth it. Nothing needs to be "fixed" for things to fall back into place - they just need to see everything clearly for what it is and figure out where to go from there together.

I'm not sure how Aziraphale is going to get to the same place of understanding just yet, but he will - I have faith in him to find his way through the fog. After all, home is where you make it, and he's done a pretty good job of making something of himself on Earth with Crowley. He's just gotten a little lost along the way at the moment, that's all.

Honestly, I could see Herbert having a respect for that side of nature in some way.

It's just awe-inspiring that nature has been around for billions of years before us and will likely be here for billions more after. It always reclaims what we take from it when it no longer serves a purpose to us, no matter how long it's been since we chased it off. We might abandon buildings and cities and everything in between eventually, but nature never does. Not entirely, and not forever.

It's a level of undying devotion that most people could never sustain, just like his devotion to defying death and creating new life in spite of God. After all, it's in spite of us that nature has continued to adapt and survive all this time. It just keeps thriving in our ruins regardless of how hard we try to eradicate it, and that's powerful.

Maybe I'm just too enamored with the power in that side of nature myself, but I do think he'd find a kindred spirit in that resilience. Just the sheer defiance of what was "intended design" and refusing to be shackled by it.

I don't know, it's just a thought I've been pondering, and these doodles kinda made me reflect on it more. Thanks for the brain food I guess. 😅

Well, low-light plants do exist, and they're usually really good for those that struggle with remembering to water or - perfect for c!Dream's case - take care of themselves. They tend to require less attention and aren't as needy as some other species can be, so no problem if he gets lost in his spiral for a few days.

In fact, some plants actually do worse if they get too much light, so its possible they're there as something he won't kill easily and can trust won't leave him alone in the dark like everything else he's cared for has. Plants don't speak or show emotions, so they're easier to form a connection with than humans or animals - they can't walk away from you, or tell you how much they hate you one day.

Do you think he named them after the two people he wished were there with him most? At least this time they'll stay...

Pot Update #1

Been a hot minute since I've personally posted, but I have a new little project of sorts in the works...

I'll be sure to post pictures of the rest of my pots soon - there are a lot of them - but this lot is special. These plant babies in particular are what we refer to as the Technoplants, and they were adopted into my garden to honor him.

There are two versions of "Pig Ears" jade, a "Blade Runner" pearl echeveria, a "Crown Jewel" pachyveria, a "Spear Head" senecio, and a "Little Jewel" pachyphytum in this arrangement, and they are currently in their quarantine phase while I work on their pot.

I wasn't sure what to do after I heard the news other than cry, so I did what's been making me happy lately - I adopted some more plants. I thought about it for a bit, did a little more research, and I adopted plants for him. It may be a little odd to some and not much to others, but this is a way for me to remember him, and since he'll sit next to the Dream Team coins, he'll still be among friends in a way too.

I'll post progress pics as I complete the pot and get the babies settled in, and I hope the final project is something Techno would've approved of.

Work Summary: Making it big in the industry is easy when you have luck on your side and for the Dream Team, luck practically walks among them with up-and-coming Dream as the lead to their dance crew. With their career as a crew on the rise and the popularity of internet sensations as a whole growing in their wake, they can only continue to climb the ladder to starry success higher and higher. Behind the curtains, however, they know all too well that although luck makes it easy, life has never been one to avoid making everything else hard. Sometimes, all you can do is take it step by step and hope you don't get lost in the rhythm before the lights go down.

Chapter Summary: Torturous as Dream may find the plan to help him catch up on rest, having George and Sapnap over for breakfast and a movie marathon has its merits… Even so, that doesn't mean he's going to make going through with the plan easy on them by any means.

A lot of c!George's struggle isn't that he fails to care about things, it's that there's so much that comes with caring that's hard to take sometimes. When you care about things like he does, that comes with a whole slew of feelings and emotions that aren't always the greatest, and sometimes you just can't push them away.

When it comes to c!Dream, for example, it's probably incredibly hard for c!George to pretend their relationship never meant anything and/or doesn't now. They built a home together, and they went to war together. c!Dream protected him when there was trouble, and c!Dream trusted him to rule pretty much by his side. Their relationship went to tatters because they both thought the other didn't care, and the whole while they both cared about it beyond measure because of each other's involvement. c!George hasn't spoken to or seen c!Dream since, and even when he had the chance he didn't take it, and it was clear in his dream that he feels guilty over that. Rolling his eyes and saying "whatever" like it was nothing just won't work when it comes to c!Dream because it wasn't just "nothing" to him. c!George still cares about c!Dream a lot, and while his feelings and emotions concerning that care might be conflicted and uncertain right now, he knows for certain that it'd tear him and subsequently his world apart if it didn't have c!Dream in it. He'd rather never speak to him again than lose him forever, and that's something I think anyone would struggle with.

When you choose to care about something or someone that deeply, it's a struggle to sort yourself out sometimes and figure out how to carry on during the low points, but that's part of being human and c!George is no exception. He does care about a lot of things, and he struggles with what comes with that every day the more it all falls apart.

the thing is is that c!george cares so fucking much, about everything. he really does. his heart is breaking every day. and it hurts.

the apathy is a defense mechanism. if he can convince himself nothing matters then it'll stop hurting. but all the evidence you'll ever need that george truly deeply cares is how in all his dreams he just wants to go home and be happy with his friends. the only reason he cares about god at all is because he's wearing dream's face

Pandora's Pervasion Snippets

"What if" scenario where c!Dream did try to talk to c!Bad once, but it was all incoherent, delirious slurring about people or things that weren't actually there. Despite his efforts, it all sounded like the ramblings of a madman due to being completely out of it from that day's torture session.

He's just laying limp on the obsidian, struggling to keep his head from lolling back and forth because he doesn't even have the strength for that. His eyes are slow and languid as they search the air above him for something that isn't there, almost as though he were in a trance. c!Bad asks about visitors because of the other voices he'd heard, but Dream just mumbles something about taking his eyes. Bad wonders if he's even coherent enough to realize where he is anymore.

Not able to get anything out of c!Dream and too distraught about the state he's found him in - he would've preferred to find him shaking and silent instead, if he were honest - c!Bad whispers that he'll be back tomorrow and leaves a cookie for him in the bookshelf. The last thing he hears before he leaves is c!Dream giving a small, broken chuckle and eerily smiling about hearing sweet melodies in his voice. c!Bad doesn't sleep with that encounter echoing in his head all night.

He's both relieved and terrified that there isn't a death message in the morning. He guesses they weren't the rambling tongues of a man on death's door after all.

At least, not yet, anyway.

At one point down the line, c!Dream's face is flayed during a torture session as a cruel joke about his now discarded mask. Twisted as it may be, c!Dream is mesmerized by his reflection in the cell water pool afterward, pain and shock taking him for a heavy delusion-filled disassociation trip regarding what's really in a face or a mask. If he were honest, he can't remember his true face anymore either. Distantly, he ponders whether anyone even cares to try.

The more he stares, the more c!Dream can't help himself. He gingerly touches the exposed muscle and viscera, only to curiously not feel a thing. Horrifyingly enough, his nerves fail to fire anymore, and he's so trapped in his numbing shock that he can entirely wipe his hands down his face and not feel it at all. The remainder of the day - perhaps even the night for all he knows - is spent endlessly trailing his fingers over the gore.

After all, he doesn't have any nails left to cause further pain. So close, yet so far, he thinks...

Well, they also made the mistake of not gearing up and defending L'Manburg from the start - they weren't even in the city they were defending when the attack started because they were getting ready elsewhere. That definitely would've made a difference and probably hampered the surprise attack plan because even if they started early, L'Manburg still would've been there to counteract it if they'd been in L'Manburg from the beginning.

I know it was for plot purposes, but if everyone is being realistic about the surprise attack being an unfair tactic, I'm gonna be realistic about this being a horrible choice on the opposing side lmao

people talk about doomsday as if Dream just did it instantly with no warning. man gave a warning 24 hours in advance

“oh but he started 30 minutes early” so? if anyone was planning to evacuate, they would’ve done it earlier than 30 MINUTES BEFORE AN ANNOUNCED ATTACK by a reputable threat. Yes, starting early gave Dream, Phil, and Techno an advantage, but if anyone wanted to evacuate, they would’ve done it already
