THE NEED FOR A SELF CARE DAY!
My exams are over! So here I am to say a break day is all you need to feel good! Below are some things I did and usually do the day my exams are over:
1. Bake or cook some desert.
2. Read a good book.
3. Make new playlist.
4. Clean up my desk space.
5. Go for a jog.
6. Set up new habits to make a better comeback after the exam than before that. (e.g. install water tracking app, workout app, think of ways to improve)
7. Do some gardening.
8. Smile at yourself!

Tomorrow is my exam......so here I am with tips to 🌟focus🌟! Let's get it!
1. Keep a living plant, on or near your desk. Could be anything. But taking care of a living thing really helps. This is so effective for me, so I'm suggesting it. First, you have to train your brain. By this, I mean associate that plant with work. Everyday just look at the plant before sitting to study. As soon as your brain makes the link, you got it!
2. Use Forest. LIFESAVER. I used to be so attracted to my phone, that I actually got up to use it! Put a timer, put on deep focus mode and work. Trust me, the first time I canceled the timer to use the phone, I felt so bad seeing the shriveled tree, I didn't do it the second time.
3. Reward yourself. After every study session, reward yourself with some food, a small video, anything. What I do is I write it on a post it and stick it in front of me. This really works for me.
4. Take breaks. You're human! You need breaks to energize! Just make sure it doesn't too long.

Today I realized (finally!) that my exams are in 47 days. Yeah I almost freaking out, but I didn't and just got to work!
Here are some tips for when you just have a few weeks to study:
1. In every study session, take breaks! We are all human, we need breaks.
2. Breathe. Some can't meditate, it requires lot of concentration and when your head is filled with thoughts, you don't exactly have the time or patience. Just close your eyes and take deeep breaths. Remember your previous acomplishments, encourage yourself and you're good to go!
3. If you sometimes just stare nowhere and get no work done, (like me) then have a board in front of you, a reminder to study or anything that snaps you out of your daydream.
4. We don't get enough sleep during the night in these exam times. I know, and as many times as I've tried to sleep early, I've been unable to. The solution is to take a two hour nap in the afternoon. This ensures a productive evening, since you're fresh from the rest!

I'm studying in eighth grade in West Bengal, India.
My main goal is becoming an orthopedist. I'm trying to work hard to achieve it.
Though a pretty much straight A's student, I procrastinate a lot. So here I am, trying to motivate myself to do better.
