I know Vincian is getting traction as an alternative word to Achillean since Achilles Was Not A Great Guy And A Lot Of MLM Would Rather Not Be Associated With A Rapist, Fictional Or Otherwise, and that’s great! I love it! And there isn’t anything wrong with it.

However, I feel like Wildean is more fitting as it’s closer to a counterpoint to Sapphic. Sappho and Wilde were both influential poets of their time who were wlw and mlm respectively who constantly have their sexuality debated, and who faced exile.

Plus, like, the flag has the green carnation on it. That’s one of Oscar Wilde’s signature symbols. It’s right there on the flag.

Idk, just me. I’ll be using it for myself personally, but I’ll still use Vincian and Achillean in tags.
