you didn’t want to believe it. you wish it was just the way your mind played tricks on you like it always does. but this time, it didn’t…

you felt her blood splat onto your leg as your stood still without any emotion showing, just a plain look with widened eyes. you could hear sunny’s and basil talking at eachother.

it felt like ringing in your eyes, you couldn’t do this again.

you couldn’t feel anything. you only felt when basil took your shoulder and snapped you out of it and turned you away from the body, “mari’s not dead… is she?” you mumbled still staring at the body.

“she’s not gonna end up like marcy, right?” basil hugged you, remembering the incident where your mother figure hanged herself while you just came to visit.

you didn’t do anything but stand there with tears rolling down your cheek as you replayed the memory of sunny and mari fighting before he pushed her down the stairs.

sunny dragged mari to the nearest room, basil followed him while you sat down on the stair with dried tears staining your cheeks.

you felt like you were drowning.

sunny came out with freshly new tears, knowing he just killed his sister. “you didn’t kill her, right?” you questioned with your knees tucked under your chin and arm wrapped around them.

you didn’t — no, you refused to believe he killed her. it was an accident and accident’s happen, right? you felt like the last remain of sanity snapped right there. you needed to believe he was innocent.

sunny looked away as he started to panic, you felt the urge to rip your skin off but the most sick plan went into your twisted mind, “bring mari’s corpse outside…” you trailed off as the two boys looked at eachother before grabbing her.

the door to the backyard open as you tried to find a tree where the branch wouldn’t break but would like a girl swing and hang from it.

aubrey’s jumping rope could do it, and for now on. that thing started watching you, driving you insane, endless nights of staring up at the sky with 1-3 hours of sleep.

you knew if you fell asleep or let your guard down, your mental stability would get scuffed down to darkness.

‘does sunny and basil have this creature with them? or is it just me?’

you thought with the bite of your lip. you haven’t spoken to anyone. not sunny. not basil. not aubrey. not kel. hell, not even hero. and you thought you would trust him the most.

but he’s at college now, heh.

your friends have their own way to deal with guilt but the guilt you brung from your past and now wasn’t something you could dig a whole and throw it in there.

something’s watching me… and it’s not willing to let go… you stopped acknowledging it when you were awake, you think it was driving it angry.

and yet, it for sure did.
