Holy Shrimp! This Scampi happening,,, [Open]
Eren sat at the bottom of the pool thinking about things. When was he not? Though, a lot of things were on his mind. He was thinking about who was targeting him, who he was targeting, his thoughts about his bro that he should NOT be having, this whole school, why he was alive, and water. It was a lot to think about for such a boy like him. He was what, 16? This wasnt what normal 16 year olds did.
He felt a tinge of annoyance when he realized he needed air. Why couldnt he just never leave the water? He broke through the surface and took a deep breath. Going back down, he tried to lay on the pool floor. Of course, that isnt possible since humans naturally float in water. Ugh. Ridiculous.
He closed his eyes as he kept himself floating in the water. Anyone passing by might've thought he was dead.

A Bit of A Gamble [OPEN]
Unlike the previous locations, Yuzuki was slightly excited, immediately, he rushed, without having to run, towards the aquarium and pressed his face against the glass. That was all he wanted to see. Now that he had a good look of them, the fishes weren't that intriguing. Maybe he just missed the interesting specimens? It was a possibility.
After looking through each and every glass section, he quickly got bored and went up the stairs instead. That got him thinking. I didn't get to go sledding... The only area that's remotely close to a slope are these stairs. Hmm... Seriously considering considering the idea, he ended up tripping over the last step. Just in time, he caught himself, a little too quickly, and rolled across the room.
Embarrassing.

Upon seeing the snake slithering onto the podium, she inwardly screamed. She was never a big fan of snakes, but this one was huge.. and such strange colors.. And it talked? How was that even possible? "You're our headmaster? But you're a snake.." Was this a joke? Listening intently to what he had to say, she felt cold sweat drip down the back of her neck. They had to kill each other? Like hell would she let herself be killed. She glanced around the room, looking at her classmates. Most of them looked just as scared and confused as she probably did. One of them was probably already planning murder. Hopefully she could just wait it out until this all blow over. After the snake slithered away, she felt inside her pocket, and like he had said, there was something in there. She pulled it out, which she finally understood to be her ID card. Sadly, though, she didn't really want to mess with it at the moment, so she slid it back down into her pocket. Instead, she stood there, waiting to see what the others would do.

prologue: pawn to d4
(Where am I?)
Her first thought, not even drifting into the throb of her head or the hum of static in her ears. Always chilled and process-oriented. Tanji lifted her head slowly off the desk, testing her joints, and gave the room a quick once-over. (School. Hope's Peak? When did I get inside?)
The crayon note on the desk before her promised her answers. She followed them.
Tanjis in general had no sense of direction, but the gymnasium wasn't hard to find--a babble of voices was already coming from inside. All aged like herself, all strangers. (Students. Schools have students.)
She immediately gravitated into a corner, dimly aware that there were people yet to arrive. Listening to other conversations would be more beneficial than having one herself.

i'm not insane, in fact, i'm kind of rational. ((open))
Shun was not broken. In fact, he was doing very well. His boyfriend almost died, he lost his closest friend, no one trusted him at all anymore, someone was completely terrified of him. He was doing perfectly fine. His time in the Monocasino was supposedly completely spent in the casino itself, but, to be honest, he hadn't left his room much at all. Late at night or early in the morning, he snuck into the kitchen to grab something to eat, but aside from that, he really didn't have a reason to leave. Oh, yes, Shun was outstanding. Stellar, even.
This was one of the times in which he left his room. It was a bit earlier in the night. He peeked outside of his door before stepping out, glancing over at one of the large aquariums before making his way to the kitchen. Not a very long walk, his room was right across the hall, but it almost felt like forever after staying inside for so long.
The con artist glanced inside the kitchen, quickly making his way into it. Making sure no one else was inside, he sighed to himself before opening one of the many drawers, beginning to rummage through its contents. There had to be one somewhere, he thought, starting to go through the next one.

wtf are titles (open)
So.. the poorly drawn snake actually appeared. You didn't really expect that at all. Is that paint or something? Isn't it animal abuse if you paint a snake? That girl over there was part of the police, right? She could probably arrest the offender. No problem.
But.. then it spoke. Snakes were definitely not supposed to speak, you knew that much. You didn't really know much about snakes, though, just that they were damn amphibians. Probably.
You pulled the ID that was said to be in your pocket, out, and scanned it. It had all your information, as well as some odd rules.. eliminating people? This joke was being taken way too far. They couldn't honestly expect teenagers to kill each other.
"What a stupid plot. This isn't worth my time."
Oh, wait, you didn't mean to say that aloud.

Aurora, barely able to walk due to her legs wobbling so much, somehow made it out of the trial room without falling. She had seen death before, but that was just gruesome. Trying her best to get the picture of the execution out of her head, it was all futile, because it was glued into her mind. It had scarred her, and made her feel nauseated as well.
Is that how she was going to go out? 'No way, I'll never let anyone kill me.' Not thinking anything else, she continued to wobble on.
Somehow making her way down the hallway, she had to lean on the wall for support. How was she supposed to make something of herself if she could barely walk after seeing some blood? Despite feeling like she was going to be sick, she wasn't tired. In other words, she didn't want to be alone.
She decided to head to the cafeteria. Even though most students are probably weeping in their rooms, she figured that there had to be someone around here, right?

{ Prologue | Into the Fray }
Though her chocolate eyes blinked sleepy tears from her sockets, an uneasy exhaustion remained shackled to her ankles. Thankfully, she hadn't been drooling on the desk she woke up from; however, there was a red mark imprinted on her cheek from laying so long on such a hard surface. Bringing her soft, manicured hands to touch the spot on her cheek that stung, her voice echoed in the empty classroom: "привет? Hello? Is anyvon 'ere?"
No reply came back, as expected. It seemed as though her personal belongings, including her cell phone and purse, were missing. She struggled to understand what had happened--all she could faintly recall was passing out upon entering the school. Then she saw the crude note.
Her skills in linguistics were required if she ever hoped to attend such a prestigious school--after all, it was hosted in Japan, thousands of miles from her home in Russia. It was awfully written and a bit difficult to make out, but she was sure that it mentioned something about meeting in the gym. The snake depicted on the message was more than confusing... and that 'hiss'. What kind of prank was this? Or perhaps it was some sort of initiation--a hazing? Zinaida had read about how many schools and other such sororities required an initiation process... perhaps Hopes Peak itself had some kind of trial she must conquer?
Despite her growing uncertainty and raise for alarm, she stood up from the desk and left the vacant classroom, making her way towards the gymnasium.

Yoshida Says He's Running Away (From Home?) [OPEN]
Somebody knew his secret. Everything is ruined. Yet. As long as they don't spread it around, Yuzuki will be fine. But if they do... He'll have no choice but to never to talk to anyone again! Okay, maybe he was being dramatic again! Even with that in mind, he couldn't stand still. Walking back and forth was all he could do. Without noticing it, he began to pick up the pace. From a panicky shuffling to almost running down the halls. Only almost because Yuzuki was a good student and he knew better than to do that in a school environment.
He rushed into the dormitory area, right outside his door but not entering it. He recalled the sentence he read on his ID. Did it really belong to someone here? The student continued to stand there. Thoughts rushed through his head but then it suddenly went blank. After a minute or two, he still stood there. Sigh. Nothing went his way as soon as he stepped into this damn place.
He had decided. He was going to run away. From every suspicious person. Where to? Anywhere but near them. See someone holding a weapon? Run. How about a person that could be the owner of the secret? Stay away-- But then again, that could be anyone. Yuzuki was never very good with people but being isolated would just make his situation even worse. He leaned against the wall and slid down. He was too tired for this.

((open)) a rubber band pistol was confiscated from algebra class because it was a weapon of math disruption
Shun was not stoned off his ass. It was kind of evident at this point that he wouldn't be. Even though he had no clue where he was, he was sure that everyone else in the room was in the same situation, and he sure as hell couldn't remember getting stoned off his ass any time recently. He was slightly surprised when a snake appeared, though. And even more surprised when it started talking. Wow. Maybe he was stoned off his ass.... No, wait, he just proved that that was impossible. It was most definitely impossible.
He glanced around as the snake spoke. He had never seen a snake like that in his life. He had no clue how the fuck he'd manage to take care of that thing but he decided it was best to stay far, far away. He couldn't believe anything. He was in complete denial. So he decided to just spend the time like he normally would after the snake disappeared.
"Spend time like he normally would" basically meant that he walked up to someone and, oh look, here we go again. Have fun trying, Shun.
"Ahaha... About the killing thing. Pretty harsh stuff huh. Heh. If only looks could kill. I'd have been dead already, then."

Revenge of the Canned Calvary and Box Infantry [Open]
It was later in the day (assumedly, judging by Monocobra's morning and evening announcements, though it could be dawn outside and no one would know the wiser) and Kikuchi was on a mission. Yes, he had some unfinished business to attend to.
After ensuring the cafeteria was empty, he crept inside, stealing away into the kitchen (mercifully just as empty). There it lay-- the upturned mountain of assorted dry foods, cans, and boxes, tumbled from the pantry and onto the floor, lying in all their glory. He grimaced as he remembered the embarrassing incident this morning-- in which he had been trying to secure himself some tasty bagel breakfast-- and instead ended up in an avalanche of semi-perishable foods. Escaping from their vicelike grip had been difficult enough the first time, but he prevailed! Haha! And now look at who the standing winner was now!
He gave the pile a good kick-- ow!-- to establish his dominance, before surveying the rest of the kitchen. He never did get that bagel, which he fought so hard for, against this disdainful platoon of provisions! It was time to secure his status as victor, once and for all.
He boldly took a step towards the bagel cabinet, slipped on a rogue can of Chicken Noodle Soup, and fell on his face.

been looking forward to the future, but my eyesight is going bad (open)
The switch to the new location took far too long. It's not like you were too bothered by the cold, in fact the snowy forest outside the cabin matched your own name, but you still didn't feel overly attached to it when the cold outside was starting to scare you as much as some of the people inside.
The casino, with it's flashing lights and aggressively loud noises was more of an irritant than a new, exciting experience, though. You didn't plan on gambling, and the one time you even have gambled was scarier than anything else you've been able to recall from your rocky past.
Not only were the lights and noises a hazard, but the stairs certainly were too. You've made only a couple journeys up and down them, but with your messed up leg and hardly worth anything arm, you could barely stand even those (haha, stand.) You'd recently decided on climbing up them every morning to throw a coin in and wish for things you knew wouldn't come, and the worst part was getting back down. That's what you had to do now.
With tentative steps, you placed your foot on the top stair and ground your teeth. When you're just walking around on flat ground you've been reasonably able to hop around on one leg, but it would definitely be a poor idea to attempt that down the stairs. The pain was horrendous, even with the halfassed attempts at a splint you fashioned earlier. However, as you should have expected, you only made the climb down three steps until your leg gave out and you rolled down the rest, lying in a heap at the bottom. You were pretty sure you yelled a little bit about it in the process, too.
God damn it.

yes it is i sleepy
The only answer to embarrassment and no food, according to Kaiya, is literally fucking barricading yourself in your room until it is safe.
She wasn't exactly foreign to the idea of surviving on all the chips and soda she'd squirreled away in her room (she knew monocobra would pull the "haha ur gonna starve to death" shit someday), considering well. That had been her only method of recovery for the scars now on her chest. Locking herself away whenever possible and not letting anyone see her look weak. Also, bonus of not being a target for murder.
Gently she popped her knuckles, figuring, okay, she was out of all the good kinds of chips, her room looked like a fucking bear had gotten into it, and she was dangerously dehydrated after having run out of sugary drink 2 days ago.
(god damn it kaiya)
Food run time.
Hurriedly, she began trying to kick the something about 25-35 empty chip bags she'd so far gone through into the corner, god forbid someone look into her room while she was gone. Cans of soda into another corner. Awesome, it looked... Slightly less like a bear had been in here, and more like a gigantic slob had been in here.
She'd take it.
Swiftly making sure she had, in fact, taken that shower THIS morning and not two days ago morning, she slipped out of the crack of her door and glanced out. Still fucking lame ass cabin and shitty fucking snow. Had she ever gotten her coat back from Shun? Eh, she'd take it when they got out of here. First things first, she'd heard someone had died during her great hikikomori period, so the food should be back, right?
Kitchen. Fuck, where'd she put the kitchen. Shit. Fuck.
Cue a lot of wandering exactly where the kitchen was not and cursing.

This place is colder than my soul.
Trying her best to stay warm in her bed that lacked a blanket, Aurora jumped awake at the sound of the speakers. She heard the snake's voice boom through them, startling her even more. What could she possibly want now?
She listened intently to what she had to say, and about the new.. incentives. No food or heat? Was the snake crazy?.. They could all possibly die before anyone gets murdered.. She thought that was probably the whole point of the motive.
Sighing a bit, she decided staying in her room wouldn't do her any good. Wouldn't it be best to be at a place with more people? The more people there were, the warmer it would be, right? She thought that, at least. Hopefully.
'This is just awful.'
Her best bet was the cafeteria. Stuffing her hands into her sleeves, she slowly but surely made her way there, and found an empty table to sit at. What the hell were they going to do now?
#open#ic#chapter 2#ouroborosfreetime#starter#lol nobody will reply but i must post updates of what wonderful adventures to the cafeteria aurora is doing

{ Somewhere Over the Rainbow | Open }
The day's antics were finally settling in on her shoulders now, as she slumped away from the cafeteria. Their meeting with the snake, the reality of their situation, everything was beginning to dawn on her. And then... Kanagaki-san was... dead. There was no doubt about that. Their talk of magic and tricks held no ground here--she was surely, absolutely, dead. Did he... really just kill one of them? Was he this serious?
Suddenly, Zinaida stopped in front of the dorm area, noticing the plaques that she and Rei-san had investigated previously. Kanagaki-san's door stood, as though nothing had changed when, in fact, everything was different. There would be no Modder to come and sleep in that room, no one to ever use it again. As much as Zinzaida felt like breaking down, she realized that she needed to stay strong--maybe not for herself, but for everyone else here; Rei-san herself seemed shaky and frightened.
She heard footsteps behind her, and quickly turned around and raised her guard. Instincts kicked in and she nearly delivered a cross chop to their shoulder, before quickly stopping when she realized who it was.
"Oh! Прости меня! Forgive me, you frightened me." Despite her words, she did no relax--who knew if this person was ready to kill someone, as the snake had said was the only way out of this school? What if she was their target?
No, this is exactly what the snake wanted to happen: distrust. She refused to succumb to his ploys and quickly straightened out, lowering her arm to her side and giving a small bow of her head in apology.

Keep Your Cool-- No, that's not right... [CLOSED]
Oh, would you look at the time! It’s time for exercise. Yuzuki strides his way over to the door to open it but was met by a huge gust of wind. Immediately, he slammed it close. The weather hadn't been like this, ever. This wasn't right...
After a while, the announcement came on. Now it made sense. That goddamn snake... Ugh. With Yuzuki around, the food wouldn't even last three days. Then again, he couldn't go outside to do his training... There was always the hallway. Maybe a few days without it wouldn't hurt, right? Right?
Sigh. He ended up finding himself in the cafeteria. Maybe the smell of food will reduce his hunger. Or make it stronger. He lied his head, face down, on the desk. Yuzuki's glasses were cold against his skin, after that burst of cold air. Maybe he should... Take them off.
Haha, as if.
He continued to slump in his seat, all alone. Or was he?
