Anxiety can be quieted down, but it will never die. It still follows you and whispers imaginary threats. It forces you to check any mole and hair on your body for an incurable sore, and pull the doorknob several times to make sure that you have closed the house. Anxiety tries to protect you, but it only makes it worse. It can be muted, but it will come back sooner or later. And it will never die.
