Yes! (yes, please write it!). Theo would be emotionally wrecked by loosing his truck and having not a single clue of how to deal with it beyond lashing out in a myriad of ways. Tip of the trauma iceberg indeed.
Also, i silently laugh at the thought of Theo looking at the ruin of his home (drawing every paralell to survival, keeping it together until it falls apart, broken parts, how it mirrors his own life and so on), sitting hunched agains a deflated tire and just, "Same. We're the same, old pal."
Maybe not too funny, more sad tbh, but still oddly comical.
In regards to the previous ask, I was surprised when Theo still had his truck after being taken by the hunters in 6x12. I would have expected to see at least some windows blown out from them shooting at him, not to mention blood. Also the hunters probably should have dumped it into a river or something to hide the evidence.
Dammit now I want a 6B AU that's just Theo aggressively mourning his truck after the hunters destroy it
Yeah, in any sane universe that truck would have been so much scrap metal, but let’s be honest here: Theo’s truck still being in one piece is the least of the hilarious plot holes that the TW writer’s room just sort of hand-waved.
Well now you’ve made me want a 6B AU that’s just Theo aggressively mourning his truck, annoying the shit out of Liam and everyone else around him as he does. 😆

Theo raeken story ideas
So. Just hear me out. Theo Raeken, stand-alone, undercover sort-of vigilante taking on Monroe's network, cut-off from Scott and gang because reasons, slowly coming to terms with being worthy of redemption. Theo, putting all his manipulative, destructive spy-traits to work, using old Dread Doctor's labs and cannibalizing all and any equipment in the fight against Monroe, including his strategist mastermind. Other packs finding him and quickly coming to see him as an indispensable ally, and just as quickly starting to fear for their own sanity when Theo does Theo-stuff. Like, No Theo We Don't Sell Our Kidneys, and That's not how a Zip-ties are used!
Somewhat ends with the McCall pack visiting a summit and everyone is talking about this crazy dude [insert Theo undercover name] being awesome and helpful and just a little bit scary sometimes, and Scott and gang be like 'this is sus' and then 'sort of sound like Theo though?'
Everyone else be like, 'Theo who?' and messy conversation ensues.

Writing redemption and Theo Raeken
Theo Raeken from Teen Wolf is such a compelling character. Just wanted to say it. Sitting here taking notes on how to write - and show - meaningful redemption and how to make an audience feel sympathy for a manipulating, backstabbing little murder gremlin. The 180 of Theo-Raeken-is-a-villain to Theo-Raeken-needs-a-hug is awe inspiring.

Ever opened a WIP..
Tumblr media
..and wondered where all those pages came from?? Pretty sure the doc was about twelve pages last time I checked. Did I write them in my sleep? Genuinely curious and baffled. Like, when did this baby wip grow up and become so big?  That ever happened to you?
Jokes aside, even if 65 pages (around 27000 words) aren’t terribly impressive, it’s still very satisfying to read through the story and see progress.

Lord Dirtyhands
Don’t mind me. But.. just imagine the pure chaotic absurdity that would unfold if what happened to Pin in Free Rein also happened to Kaz. Like, just imagine people finding out Kaz was the Kerch equivalent of a duke. (Lord Merchant? Idk..)
Imagine Wylan (and Jesper, by default) being tasked by the merchant council to find said heir of this dead, filthy-rich Lord Merchant. Them (Jesper, most likely) reading through endless records of births and marriages, finally to find there is indeed a daughter. Who got married to a farmer outside Lij. A farmer named Rietveld.
And Jesper looking over to Wylan with confusion. Because why does that name sound familiar? Where have they heard it before?
And then collectively remembering the ice-court heist and subsequent auction plan. Where Colm pretended to be a farmer with the name of Rietveld.
kAZ???
It turns out Kaz had no clue he was the last heir to this vast fortune (and titel). Maybe his mother died when Kaz was very young, or she did like Pin’s mother in Free Rein and disappeared. His father must have known, but never said anything. Maybe fearing the cUrSE that rested on the Lord Merchant’s lands.
(And maybe, just maybe, when faced with Jesper’s and Wylan’s questions, Kaz reveals just a smidge of his past and what’s behind the legend of Dirtyhands. Just maybe. The angst is pure nourishment for my soul.)
So suddenly, the bastard of the barrel is the wealthiest man in ketterdam and related to one of Kerch’s most prestigious family. Lord Dirtyhands. Or, as Nina coins it, Fancyhands. *Author wheezing in the background*
And Jesper loosing his shit over that Kaz is probably short for something much longer and fancier. Kassier/Cassier, Kazimir, Kazpar/Kaspaar, Kelazar?
And don’t get me started on prospective last names. The possibilities are endless. Endless.

Sneak peak II
Another sneak peak, this time from another draft. Sassy Alex all around! (Taken out of context, just so you know!)
“Because I can make a difference. Because I’m good at it.” he chided, like he was saying It’s my duty. There was more to it, but nothing Ben wanted to divulge at the moment. “I’ll be blunt..-” Ben continued, but was promptly interrupted.
“Please don’t. I’ve seen enough of Blunt as it is.” Cub sassed dryly, face straighter than a board.
“I’m serious..-” Ben tried again, mentally stopping himself from throttling the little brat.
“Thought your name was Ben, but nice to meet you Sirius.” Cub piped. The mood shift threw Ben for a loop, not expecting sassy remarks when the intro had been borderline gloomy.  “Are you done?” Ben said, unamused, almost expecting the kid to reply with No, I’m Alex. If he did, Ben was not to be held accountable for his actions. We do not strangle children, Ben. We do not strangle children. They crossed a road, making it onto the sidewalk. A car tore past, horn blaring loudly enough to make them both startle.

On code names
Use then or not to use them? As readers of Alex Rider fanfiction, do you prefer the members of K-unit to be referred to as their codenames or made-up civil names? (Ben Daniels as an exception, of course)
When writing it feels more natural to use a real name, but as a reader I think I prefer the codenames? Easier to keep track of, I guess?

Sneak peek - Alex Rider wip
Posting a sneak-peek on my wip to get myself comfortable with the idea of actually posting what I write. There’s no context, sorry! You’ll have to wait for the rest! :)
Wolf hadn't meant to stay as long as he had, but between Eagle's infallible optimism, Snake's concerning silence, and Moose's atrocious attempts at humour, Wolf hadn't left Snake's flat until nearly dawn.
The chill of the morning air was even more pronounced when he had to search through every single pocket for his keys. Finally, fishing them up between numb fingers, he entered.
A muffled thump came from behind the living room door. Instantly, Wolf flattened himself to the wall, out of range in case the attacker was carrying a gun, and pressed the alert button in his phone. A message would be sent to all of K-unit; pre-programmed to spell out Trouble and his current location.
Then, silently grabbing for a gun he always kept hidden in the hallway in a pair of well-worn winter boots, Wolf crept closer.

Wops II
It’s still growing. What am I doing with my life. So, just a question; how do you talk yourself into posting what you write? Like, I want to post it, once it’s done, but how do I get myself to that point mentally where I can click post without instantly regretting it?

*deep breath* Statistically speaking, it is very possible Kaz's mother simply died as a result of childbirth at one time or another and that Kaz's father never remarried (and therefore is his mother never mentioned in the books, nor is any woman in Kaz’s life prior to arriving in Katterdam.). Childbirth was risky business before modern health care, and sadly quite a few women have lost their lives to birth complications.
Other clues we have is that Kaz’s family owned the farm, since they could sell it. Historically speaking in Europe at that approximate time period, owning your own farm was kind of a big deal. Usually people worked and lived on land that was owned by someone else and payed a sort of rent for farming and living there, or in other words, they were indentured to the land owner. On the other hand families that owned their own land were often well established and considered more of a higher standing than the farmers didn’t. That gives us a clue that Kaz’s family too most likely belonged to a slightly higher standing than ‘ordinary’ farmers and that they most likely conformed to the norms and expectations that followed; namely that Kaz’s father must have been married to Kaz’s mother. Kaz’s father couldn’t simply father two sons by one or two nameless women and remain respectable in the eyes of society, especially if he wanted his two sons to inherit him when he died.
So in my own headcanon at least, Kaz is not a bastard in the sense that his parents weren’t married. (He’s a bastard because he’s a jerk with trust issues, but that’s another post.). His mother most likely died in childbirth when Kaz was young, either connected to Kaz’s own birth or by a younger sibling that too probably died around the same time as Kaz’s mother. And again, I can’t stress how common this was before modern medicine intervened. Even in a land where some people have the magic to heal (Heartrenders and Healers) it wouldn’t have been enough to save every woman who fell ill after childbirth.
Conclusion: Kaz’s mother is never mentioned because from Kaz’s point of view she never really existed. Most likely reason? Death by childbirth complications when Kaz was too young to properly remember her.
What happened to Kaz’s mother though?
Like I assume she’s dead but how? It goes into extreme detail for every other member of his family, but we know absolutely nothing about her.

Star Trek and Daemons
BEWARE OF RADIOACTIVE HEAD CANONS!
It it just me, or is Daemon AUs the next best thing after ice cream? A well thoughout daemon ‘verse is like one giant charachter study, and do I love those or what??
Anyways, here’s my current take on Star trek (aos) and their Daemons. Comments and your own ideas are greatly appreciated!
Jim - Melaeva (meaning dark one.), Settles as a Small spotted Genet (adaptable, independent, also a pet that only ever can have one family, as they apparently becomes borderline neurotic if they’re separated/adopted = Massive Trust Issues, capital letter necessary.) during Tarsus IV. Self doubt/hate made external, as Melaeva constantly tries to hurt Jim one way or another, especially during childhood. Into adulthood they mostly just ignore each other, a fickle truce that constantly gets broken.(Whitch is not healthy, let me just say that!)
Sam - Callidoria (Beauty. Usually shortened to Callie), Hare. Settles when he runs away from the farm (Leaves Jim, leaves frank). Jim never learns what Callies settles as. (Hare, symbol for cowards (running away), changes coat = new life, second chances.)
Leonard/Bones - Nemaria (Usually shortened to Ria), Badger. Appears a bit ragged, with tuffs of fur missing and a nasty cough, symbolising Bones’ state of mind/heart when he gets to the academy (also, drinking problem that’s never really addressed??). She and Bones has this funny thing where he’s all snark and bark, and she’ll most likely cuddle the breath out of the person’s daemon.
Frank - Efrosyine (meaning Joy), Wolverine (Aggressive, territorial, opportunistic.). Winona refers to Efros as beautiful and noble, but not another Hemera (George’s daemon).
Winona - Tychon (Meaning ‘Hitting the mark’) , Serval. Always looks a little ragged and starved efter George’s death, to mirror how Winona never really heals from it. He shifts between aggressive and loving towards Melaeva, letting her come close to snuggle and bite or smack her with his claws, reflecting how Winona really wants to love Jim like a son, but always ends up hurting him instead.
George - Hemera (Meaning Day), Dog (Grey hound, Kirk-gold colored, which in this case translates to a solid reddish fawn). Dog for loyalty and pack mentality, and grey hound for courage, nobility and elegance.
Uhura - Enitan. Any suggestions? Parrot?
Spock - No daemon. (It’s a human thing.)
Rest of the senior crew: ???
Pike: ??? Help please!
