Here’s a comic I made for a series that I wanted to do of young Jonathan, during the time before Saul became king. He’s like 13 in the beginning, figuring out things and accepting his family’s status once his father is revealed to be Israel’s first king. And of course, there’s more to that tho—of little Jonathan simply wanting a normal, peaceful life ✨

I haven’t touched this in a long while, but I’ll try my best and see if I can continue! I have a whole story idea for Jonathan’s early-monarchy years as the new prince of Israel.

You can say this is sort of Jonathan’s backstory, and any ideas would great! <3 I actually have a hard time trying to come up with an origin story for Jonathan for some reason, mainly because I would always imagine his former years to be chill up until he becomes royal, which stresses him. He watches his father decline, he witnesses his first battles, people nagging him, etc.

But when taking into account of his early years, I imagine Jonathan as a child to be chaotic and outgoing lol, like him getting into things, climbing stuff, getting stuck in trees, running away from his mother, taking off into the hills with Saul’s back turned as he reveals his rebellious nature he has had.

But y’know, just brainstorming ideas, and other ideas would be greatly appreciated! I want to try exploring more of Jonathan here 🥰 I already have some ideas laid out for the story ehehe

When i first started writing my book, i did it for myself and only for myself. I'm still writing it for myself. I'll make it in a way that i, personally, love it.

If people love it too then good. Great! But even if they don't, it's okay. It's still my story and i love it and that's what matters the most.

Wrong. I cannot. I am afflicted with Fanfiction Writer’s Syndrome, in which I can only write a story in chronological order, lest the story make no sense.
